created a topic NCAA Elite 8 Picks in College Basketball Ouch, yesterday was an extremely tough day to swallow. I knew as soon Louisville missed out on a cover that things were not going to go my way, and with no surprise lost my top play on Kansas in heartbreaking fashion followed by a couple more losses in the nightcap. Today is a new day though and it can't get any worse so just gonna keep plugging away. Conference Tourney Record: 26-38-1 Upgraded Plays: 9-8 NIT Tourney: 4-7 NCAA Tourney: 23-18-2 The Picks Marquette +5 (Upgrade) These are two evenly matched teams as far as I'm concerned so I am not really sure why the Golden Eagles are catching five points in this one. I will gladly take the five and look for Marquette to get the outright win. Ohio St. -4 I think the Shockers run ends right here, I look for the Buckeyes to overpower Wichita St. as it is there first true look at a team actually deserving of the seed that they are. I think MSU will own the paint with Nix and Payne playing their best basketball of the season, and that the guard play for both teams is about equal. Taking all the factors into account I'll take my Spartans to head onto another Elite 8. Florida -13 I think FGCU's run finally comes to an end here in the sweet 16. I think the Gators who trounced teams that were very similar to the Eagles will once again impose their will as it appears they have more than bounced back from their mid-season slump. Give me the Gators to win by 20+ and put this Cinderella to bed. That's all from me guys enjoy the Sweet 16, talk to you again when we get our Elite 8 matchups. LaSalle +4 I think the Explorers magical run continues, I think their guard oriented team once again draws a favorable matchup against a similarly small Shocker team. I'll take the points in this one even though I think LaSalle wins straight up. Louisville -10 Just not sure how I can bet against this team right now, they've won 11 of their last 12 games by double digits and more than likely that average win by about 20 points. This team has certainly caught stride at the right time and in this de facto home game I look for the Cardinals to once again win by double digits. Kansas -2 (Upgraded Play) I think this is just a downright bad matchup for Michigan. I look for Kansas to own Michigan down low, don't look for McGeary to own the paint like he did against that equally small VCU team. Kansas will focus on containing Michigan's guard play and if they can they will easily win this game by double digits, give me the Jayhawks.
