Georgia Tech is awful. Wow. Can't believe this was a 1.5 pt spread. |

Haven't posted in a while. Feeling like posting a few picks. Loyola Chicago -5.5 - This team beat Northern Iowa 70-47 at home. 56-50 away. Loyola is best in the conference at shooting 3's 2's efficiency and effective FG% - Northern Iowa's defense is dead last against 3's, 9th in steal%, 8th in blocks, 8th in forcing turnovers, and 9th in effective FG% defense. Northern Iowa's offense is 9th in 3pt, 9th in 2pt, and Loyola's defense is best in the conference in efficiency, best in effective FG% and is great at causing turnovers. This seems like an easy one, but as we know, with the last few days (NC State I'm looking at you), nothing is safe in college sports. Even still, I'll take Loyola Chicago -5.5 Wisconsin +300 1H - I think Michigan State will win this game, but Wisconsin is like a pesky five year old, they just never go away. In their game in East Lansing, Wisconsin got blitzed 22-8 in the first 10 minutes, but came back to only be outscored 15-13 in the 2nd 10 minutes. And proceeded to outscore Michigan State 40-39 in the 2H and 17-9 in the first 10 minutes. In their game in Madison, they were outscored 34-27 in the first half. This team has been a good 1H team though. 38-33 over NW 35-34 over Minnesota 21-21 versus Purdue over the last 3 games (not including Michigan State). But, obviously, there's a reason that they are +300. lol or you wouldn't be even thinking about it. I like getting those kind of odds for a team that hasn't played at MSG yet this year. Michigan State hasn't played at MSG since last year when they got blitzed by Kentucky (34-26 in 1H). Obviously that game has no relevance, just saying. I'll take Wisconsin +300 1H because it's a big number. Northern Iowa/Chicago u61.5 1H Their other games were 26-19 Loyola first half in the 70-47 game. 26-23 Northern Iowa first half of the 56-50 game. It's not really fun rooting for an under and I kind of despise it, but I am going a little contrarian (against myself), so here goes. Those are my three picks. Fade them or Play them. Don't complain. 1. Loyola Chicago -5.5 1 unit 2. Wisconsin +300 1H 3. Northern Iowa/Chicago u61.5 1H |

Kenpom has it as a 21 point game - The only thing that would give me pause is how good FGC's defense is in the A-Sun and how bad USC's defense is. 18 points is a lot, but Fla Gulf Coast is home. |

Bryant is 339th in the country overall, and Wagner already beat them 71-62 AT Bryant. This game is at home. They have not lost a home game all year. They won their last 3 home games by 13 against a much better team in Robert Morris, 13 against Central Connecticut State, and 18 against St. Francis (NY) Kenpom has this game at 83-63. Bryant's defense is 10th in their conference, whereas Wagner's is 1st in the conference. Wagner is 1st in OFF REB, FTA/FGA, 3rd in 3pt, and 3rd in overall efficiency. Bryant is 10th in FTA/FGA, 9th in effective fg%, 8th in 2pt%, 8th in FT%, 9th in blocks. Bryant is one of the worst basketball teams in the country. Bryant has won 2 games. Against Hartford (78-73) and Sacred Heart (79-74). Against teams that are in the 100's (or better) overall, they lost 79-54 to Georgia, 95-72 to NC State, 83-54 to Rutgers, 84-68 to Albany, 90-72 to Memphis, 102-59 to Louisville, 71-62 to Wagner. I would lean Wagner too. |
