lookn for info and stats on fantasy and live golf betting. i used to pay $20 a month some years ago. i dont remember the name of the site. im gettn old and i had some health issues, so i quit playn a few years back. my issues are currently better and i want to start playn again. Im not really lookn for strategy tips, and im not asking for free. i am willing to exchange info. or pay a monthly fee. the only fantasy and live betting i do is on golf. so, although i havent played much in about 3 years, due to health. i have been playing, watching , and betting on golf since the late 1970s. Thanks, joey |

Anyone have any thoughts on running backs and quarterbacks in rounds 3 through 7. i will buy most of them, but not all. who are some of the sleepers, that may have ended up on a team with a good offensive line ? |

Okay, this is just for fun. We all have our opinions. But, i do believe the best basketball player is Bill Russell. 11 Nba championships, and 2 national titles at San francisco. He also had to cover wilt chamberlain during most of the nba championships. i will post a few more things about bill, a little later. I think he is overlooked, because he played so long ago. 1950s and 60s |

back from traveling. actually i been back about 8 days. been working on buying rookies from the draft. i have bought about 10 different players. 10 to 20 cards each. i buy all the qbs and rbs in the first 3 rounds. there are about 20 qbs, rbs in the first 2 rounds. i havent got any further than that, but i will buy the majority of all the qbs and rbs in all 7 rounds. i aslo bought shea patterson, an undrafted qb from michigan. his numbers are good. not sure why he wasnt drafted, but he signed with the chiefs, about a week after the draft. he is a long shot as far as making money with his cards, considering mahomes isnt going anywhere. sometimes, its a gamble lol |

For me it was the "rush" (exactly like gambling) of opening up boxes and sometime cases of sports card just to pull a expensive rookie auto of any sport. Haha. yeah its a rush. as you said, quite a bit like gambling. i bought a box of nba hoops a couple of weeks ago for $21. that is a cheap box by most any standards. i pulled 2 zions. one worth 70 and the other worth 20. i got lucky. to me, buying boxes is like buying lotto tickets. i dont buy alot of boxes or packs, and i dont receommend it, but you can get lucky. i buy about a box a week and look at it just like to lotto. i've been getting into case breaks for teams. i know exactly what you mean by the rush. i just started getting back into cards after a long hiatus and man, the game has changed. makes me wonder how many kids can actually afford this stuff. these hobby boxes go for insane numbers. sometimes more than what the majority of the cards are worth. i've been trying to land bids on ebay for some new topps atlanta braves cards. nice find on the hoops box. those are out everywhere around here thanks. i just got back in about a year ago. i hope it goes well for you. ive heard about and seen the case breaks on ebay. but, i have no clue what they are about. maybe you can give me a little info. it would be appreciated. you can get the hoops boxes at walmart or on ebay. zion cards are doing well right now. i will be out of town for about a week. i dont do the internet when im away. but, will chat with you when i get back. |

dont feel to bad. we have all taken a beating when in investing. at least you financially survived it and can laugh about now. not that its funny. but, sometimes all you can do is laugh. whether its stocks, land, business, collectibles etc...., if your buying and selling your gonna get hit with losses eventually. but if you work at it, study it and research, and are able to diversify. you can make money over the long haul. risk managment is a big key. i dont bet games very often. i just bet sports futures. and mainly just tinkering with the cards again. the thing about the cards, is that it takes alot of time. years ago, in the 80s, i was also buying and selling coins and comics. but there just isnt enough time for it now. too busy taking medecine all day hahaha |

Fun times ![/Quote Yeah there was definitely hype in the card market in the early 90's with Upper Deck coming out with Golf cards - TIGER WOODS. I must have been spent thousands of dollars busting golf packs throughout the 90's LOL interesting that you mention tiger. just a sealed box of 2001 ud golf cards for $17. looking for tiger rookie. |

I was at a trade show, and he was a vendor. he said I would like to sell these. i just bought them this week. i really dont know why i bought them, as i already have to many. He said its like a disease , a sickness...... You have to control it, like anything. thats mainly why i just stick to the rookies |

Fun times ! its hard to say exactly why its doing well. i think the internet has made buying and selling of most things better. it certainly has made it easier to sell the true values of things. now, we dont really need a price guide. just use ebay, amazon, or many other sites to get an idea of what its worth. and yes, its always been fun. |

I still own them, as well as a lot of card from the 60's, 70s, and 80s. I haven't check a Beckett Monthly in years, but I remember seeing it wasn't worth all that much, particularly the 89 UD. i understand and agree with what you said. ive been in and out of the card market since the early 1970s. yes im getting old haha. the late 80s and early 90s were rough. it was hard to make money back then. mass production, i would say was the main reason. i used to buy sets but now i just mainly stick with rookie cards. the card market right now appears to be doing fairly well, but i just got back in about a year ago. so, im going slow and being careful |

Spent thousands on cards and now are worthless LOL The only cards doing well on GOATs! For example, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Tom brady are holding their value but otherwise NOT worth it in investing. that's not the least bit true. mike trout and zion rookies are going for 1000's right now. topps sapphire chromes are insanely expensive. the mosaic nba cards that dropped have sold out of every wal mart in stores for the ja morant rookies. hell, people are selling joe burrow prizm's for a few hundred. keep in mind, there's homers all over the world that don't mind spending the dough. Money can be made. i didnt say it was easy. i just got back in the card market around febuary of last year. i was out for long time do to health issues. the trading card market is basically like a mini stock market. there are short and long term investments. i do both. right now short term with the nfl draft is a good place to be. if you buy most all the qbs, rbs, and wrs, in the first 3 rounds. you will probably make money every year doing this.this also works with baseball, football,. probably hockey also. but i dont invest in hockey cards. i will usually buy 20 to 50 each. now this is what ive learned from dealing with cards since the 1970s. its risky like most any investments. when to get in, when to get out, and when to hold are a few of the big keys to making dollars in this market |

Just bought Pete Alonso. NL rookie of the year. Hit 53 hrs last year. I bought 10 topps chrome for $2.50 each and 10 topps base for $1.00 each. these are rookie cards from 2019. still fairly cheap, and what i would consider a good long term buy. probably will be holding about 2 years, before selling. |
