Ok, my "summary" statement is not correct! I tried to quickly log in and make a contribution rather than always reading, but that backfired anyways, the rules are posted and those are definitely correct because I did a high quality cut-and-paste job |

at 5dimes sides are final if the game is cancelled. Over/unders and other props are cancelled, but moneyline and runlines are final.

so, in summary: Since the home team is winning, if the game ends here then action is met and all wagers are final. |

I see a number of threads popping up about this, so hopefully this is helpful. The rules vary from one book to another but this is the most commonly used set (taken from 5Dimes):
All regular season baseball games and professional post season games are considered official after 5 innings of play (4½ if the home team is winning). If a game is called or suspended after 5 innings, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning of play – unless the home team scores to tie or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning. The winner is then determined by the score at the time the game is called. When betting on baseball totals or run-lines, the game must go 9 innings (8½ if the home team is winning). Regardless of their starting/completion date, NCAA baseball, NCAA softball, and youth league tournament games have action with the final result score. First 5 inning lines are graded at the end of the 5th inning. All 5 inning wagers have action at that time, regardless whether the game is completed. The following propositions have action at the time they occur, regardless whether the game is completed or official: 1st 5 inning wagers, team to score first, 1st inning wagers or any wager involving a team or player to achieve an outcome first. The following propositions will be graded NO ACTION if a game does not go 8½-9 innings and is an official completed game on that day: team statistical match-ups, player match-ups (including total bases), team total runs, H-R-E wagers, or any wager involving an over/under format. |

Here is the link to the NBA's ref announcement. The assigments are announced around 9 AM Eastern time on the day of the game. https://www.nba.com/news/referee.html
I saw the home team angle, which is strong. I just worry because Crawford has a strong track record across several seasons. |

In the 2011 playoffs he reffed Dallas vs. Portland in Game 2, which Dallas won. Free throws were balanced during that game. I would lay a wager on Dallas, but seeing this ref assigment...I'm hesitant to go against a 2-16 (or 3-16 including this year's game) trend. Any thoughts? |

Dan Crawford is the head ref for tonight's Dallas vs. OKC matchup. As of the end of last year's playoffs, the Mavs were 2-16 in games reffed by Dan Crawford. I don't want to turn this into a conspiracy thread, but I just want to point out the ref assignment so you all can keep it in mind as you cap this one.

I believe that people intentionally try to run the winners off the site. I have noticed that any time I guy posts consistent winners, other people bring tons of drama to his thread and to the whole board. Eventually, dealing with the drama becomes so time consuming that the guy posting decides to stop. When the guy stops posting his picks, the books win. Sharp, you have to ignore these guys. Your record stands alone. You don't need to prove a thing to anyone. Don't let the "haters" (or paid employees of an online book) drive you away. Cheers |

Are your units consistent from one league to the next? So is 1 unit in the NFL the same as 1 in the NBA, etc? I see that this is a 50 unit play while your Wyoming play is 1 unit. Is this play 50 times the size? Thanks man And regarding the haters, don't let it get to you. You are making a real positive impact on people by sharing the plays. The haters are going to lose their money regardless of who they follow due to poor money management....so just keep doing your thing |

Sharpstick, What is a typical wager size for you, in terms of units. I see that this is 2 units, but I want to put it in perspective. Is your range 1-5 units per play? Thanks for your efforts. -Rich |

alright, this thread is good enough to login to covers.....
cashaholic, think about this....if you dont know some of the fundamental rules associated with making this type of wager, do you think it is wise to bet your money?
I dont want to make jokes about you, but seriously, dont place a bet or make an investment of any type without at least knowing the conditions that make you win/lose.

The Rebnasticator's Sunday NFL playbook.. So good he was BANNED from BetEd.com
in NFL Betting hey guys, for what its worth....books can limit your action like the original post stated. This happened to me during an nba season when I was using nine.com (dont know if they are even around anymore).
I am a marginal better, but this particular nba season went so well that they limited my bets. I thought I would chime in just to give some credibility to the poster.
Let's have a great sunday!
