3. How about making efforts to encourage player respect? Go to handshakes after every game, think of other things to get players more respectful of their peers.
4. Eliminate double minors for high sticking...it's either incidental or 5 and a game.
5. Take a little leeway away from Colin Campbell. Every hit to the head should have a minimum game suspension.
I agree something has to be done about the hits to the head, too many players missing time in the league. Incidental or 5 and a game for high sticking? I disagree.. A cut lip would be a 5 and a game, that's extreme. I agree with Lippsman that the seemless glass needs to go, that stuff is brutal. I also think the goalies should be allowed to play the puck like old, get rid of that trapezoid. I would also go to to no touch icing. Stiffer penalties for shots to the head, would help also. The main thing though is player respect, I know it's a fast game and decisions are made in a split second. However, elbows, shoulders, etc to the head need to stop. |

I think in the long run it will be a good trade for both teams. As of right now, it's just benefited the Stars. I watched Neal for a few years here, he is a solid player.. However, he did benefit from playing with Brad Richards and Mr Underrated Loui Eriksson.. |

Owners? There's no owner here.. The lenders control the team. Specualtion here is he will not be moved before the deadline, unless they get a ridiculous offer. The lenders want to make the playoffs and get the extra revenue.. Playoffs? Not looking good right now... |
