replied to Bowl season and thoughts on the playoff selections in College Football Well. -- I guess it is a good question. Teams and fans left out will point out what they think a team lacks since they are on the outside looking in. I think it is hard to argue against Alabama. They were #1 until they lost Auburn. Auburn lost in the SEC Championships So people say, Oh Bama lost to a 3 loss team. Ohio State lost by 31 to a 5 loss team. Wisconsin only loss to Ohio State who people think should be in. What about USC? No cupcakes on schedule. Beat up bad on road by ranked ND team. Undefeated team from little conference ignored. (Boise TCU UCF) I know that Alabama and Clemson beat Michigan State and Ohio State 38-0 and 31-0 the last 2 years in the Playoffs. Maybe a conference getting outscored 69-0 brings them down a notch. Came across the gem LET IT RIDE the other day -- It is a really funny movie about horse racing/betting ... As long as we have some Alien/Mars type movies being mentioned - Anyone like GHOSTS FROM MARS ? John Carpenter film- I thought it was alright. Plenty of worse flicks out there. Ice Cube, Natasha Hestridge, Jason Stratham are in it. let me roll out one that I am guessing a lot of you have never seen, or even heard of QUICK CHANGE with Bill Murray .. From1990. Geena Davis, Randy Quaid, Jason Robarbs .. plus some bit roles from Stanley Tucci and Tony Shaloub.. Holy cow.. If you aren't laughing at some of the stuff in this thing.. They were beat by teams with talent. And the Longhorns get talent for sure. Texas has the new HC who should get that offense going, but maybe the thinking is these aren't his recruits, so they don't know his system. Not like the Boogie Nights version either.. Totally crazy about the Wonderland Murders.. I don't have a great write up like LeRink Rat.. But I think they are enjoyable flicks. replied to Better Call Saul Season 2 (AMC) in Movies & Television Even though I know how Jimmy/Saul end up.. I still hold out hope that he would just stick to elder-law !! What really makes this show good is the number of great characters. We know we have some of Bad's cast. So we like our Mike, Gus and Nacho But I like Kim and Chuck, and Howard.
