replied to FSU vs Georgie Tech (w/ writeup) in College Football Great Write Up.... Wheaty, If I had a buck for every time I thought a solid team was going to come off a hiccup week and "kick some behind" I would be naked in Tahiti twisting up parlays all day and not surfing this site. What REALLY scares me about this game is that FSU's loss to Fla last week may have been a bummer from the naked eye, But here's what it really was.. That Loss was EVERYTHING, this was supposed to be the year that FSU returns. The play pretty sharp (very undisciplined team) and made it to the FLA game and then got punked. Now tell me how fired up is this FSU team to go out and not only beat Ga Tech, but make sure they cover the spread while they're at it?? I am dropping the hammer on Ga Tech here. I think this game will have all sorts of big plays ( Ga Tech #1 in FBS plays over 20 yds). Ga Tech has been a bit Skitzo this year (loss home to BUY and then absolutely DESTROYING NCAR at NC (and that was while UNC was in the rise a few weeks ago. I hope I don't mush your Fla Play but you asked for some insight and heres mine. That spread is simply a smidge too much for me, Teaser looks good tho (dont they all).. I am not a USC fan 2. I am not a UCLA fan 3. I'm a big fan of slapping bookies across the face at the end of the week. I want you to take this bet and win money ( what a terrible guy I am) USC @ UCLA Look, Matt Barkley aint winning the Heisman, if that isn't bad enough the Trojans have suddenly found themselves in quite an interesting situation here... The ultimate goal was a national championship ( ranked #1 in preseason...) Thats not happening... How about the Rose Bowl? 3 losses.... (Thats not happening) Well at least Barkley will get the Heisman right? Nope... So YES, you guessed it... This RIVALRY GAME... AT UCLA... Is the HIGHLIGHT of the USC Season. And they dam well know that ( as embarrassing as that may be).. Ucla is delighted to be In this spot, at HOME nonetheless.. The Bruins have been a fraud this year... So inconsistent its laughable... They gave up 36 points to Wash St last week and they are a cute Team but not a good team. USC came back after the Ore nightmare and actually bitch slapped a good AZ team (In golf they call that a "recovery" skill) In sports betting, "recovery skill is huge (see UNC win last night after giving up 100 points to Tech the week before)... USC made things "right" with last weeks win and with Barkleys hopes of a Heisman gone, the hopes of a natl title Gone, the last stop on the bumpy road is a " rivalry hype game" that USC is simply going to roll their eyes about.. created a topic Have fun Joe Public. I'll take the Bears in NFL Betting I've watched Hou play 3 road games this year and I'm not too impressed. Excellent team at home but the Bears will be more than prepared for this game. My only concern is the Bears O Line vs Hou D Line. Thats where Forte comes into play not only running the ball but I think the Bears will run short drops and screens to Forte ( who has yet to have a big time game). All of this coming from a Packers fan. I can't stand the Bears, but I know the inside out. I hate Chicago but I love money. Bears ML.
