Nah.....wrong about VIP seats, specifically MGM.  Its totally up to the ticket clerk to give you a band or not.  Make a few hundred dollar bets on sports, or make a few horse bets, tip them consistently, make conversation and you're in.  Its a balcony above the book. The other sports books during a special event may block off a section, but its no better than any other seat. I was in Vegas on the strip from Feb 15th thru Aug1st 2015. I covered a lot ground in those months, and met folks from all over the world one thing I know for sure, its not about the money you spend, its who you befriend.  Nothing more, nothing less.
