created a topic replied to Why are the Sens +135 against TBL for Monday in NHL Betting What's up with the +135? I get that the sens are coming off a B2B but there is literally no travel required. Plus the sens are hot and TBL has been streaky as of late.... wondering if anyone has an explanation or is this just a trap? created a topic Only betting underdogs each night in NHL Betting Over the last two hockey seasons, I found it pretty tough to make a small profit betting my share of favourites and underdogs. I'm not the one to ever lay down -300 for a favourite, but games where I really like the favourite at like -180, I will go for it. The problem i've seen is that these "favourites" often times turn out to be losers...hence why my account balance depletes faster than expected. Over the last few weeks, I've decided to simply bet underdogs. At least with betting dogs, you know that if you bet the same amount each game and if you hit greater than 50%, you will be profitable. Does anyone else take a similar approach to NHL betting and only taking dogs each night? Would love to hear about everyone's thoughts on this. created a topic What do you think about Herbalife (NYSE:HLF) ? in Investments I am very bearish on HLF. Firstly, I do think the company is a pyramid scheme and will run out of people to support this scheme within the next few years, as people catch more media attention from the likes of investors such as Bill Ackman. They appear to be hiding some of their distributor numbers and such which is questioning. The stock fell 10% this year and to me, it seems like this business can go very close to 0. What do you guys think? Is this a short candidate? I am thinking about shorting and possibly buying some long-dated puts because I think this gravy train will be stopping soon. created a topic For most of us, winning more than we lose is not that easy in NFL Betting I feel like the common trend on this forum is to talk about how you need to hit like 54% ATS to start making some real money. Betting the same amount of money each game and not chasing your losses blah blah blah. Truth is, most of us will never be able to be above .500 even in sports betting ATS. Over the two months, worrying about the size of your bets has done me much better. Considering I do have a pretty large bankroll to begin with, I find it more efficient to fire off away at a few games I feel really good about. If they lose, well I can just double up my bet and keep going...your bound to win one. However, let's say for example you hit all your major bets in one day. All that money you now have is your profits. If you money manage and grow that part and stop worrying about betting only the same amount each game and actually win the games you put a lot more money on, not only will you be making money, but it just goes to show the idea of winning more than you lose is stupid. Plus, I have a feeling CAR could be resting/limiting playing time for players as well...? Hope to see .5 line movement before kick off but +7 does look good. Sure, this Denver D is pretty good... but we are dealing with Rodgers here. This guy is no joke. Anyone think the line can move a few more points by Sunday afternoon?
