Hello Covers Community. With the hustle and bustle of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, I’m posting a Monday selection today. Let’s goooooo…. Going to Los Angeles for the visiting Ravens flying across country to meet the Bolts. This is the Blackbirds first visit to the west coast this year. Strike one. This is a game that follows two physical matchups versus divisional opponents. Three of their last four they met AFC North teams. The Ravens, following a loss against Cleveland, took out their anger against Denver the next game. Then came Cincy and Pittsburgh. Three points separated the win/ loss in two games. Banging games. Now, as stated, they fly west. Out of division opponent. Strike two. Their division rival just lost on Thursday. The Chargers have something going. Go to You Tube and search “Chargers locker room celebration”. This. Is. A. Team. Jim Harbaugh has these guys believing and they are playing under the lights again this week. If the Chargers have a pulse, they win this game. Brother Jim gets his win versus brother John. And….if it matters, the home team is getting points. As Jim says as he addresses his team, “who’s got it better than us? Noooooooooo body”! Watch the You Tube. Strike three? Hope all of you have a good Thanksgiving week. The matchups Thursday are not appetizing, so I’m forwarding the all the best for a great Turkey Day to all. We all look at a cup as half empty or half full. Let’s think about those who don’t even have a cup. Good luck all….

@Beningo88 The Cowpokes have shown zero heart. But…. When you have selfish players and they are on Monday Night Football….??? Those players, especially the defense, may amp up their game. |

in NFL Betting Hello Covers Community. I don’t have a dog in the fight tonight, but I’m curious to see what you all think. Two losses in front of the nation, and now playing their third straight. A loss against a team in free fall with the NYets , then a loss against the Lions, who are playing stupid good. Now the Texans play the staggering Cowpokes. An interstate matchup. Do the visitors win in prime time? Does Dallas show up with the lights on? Good luck, in wherever your voices tell you to back… |

@takethecannolis After looking at the card for this week, I was so anxious to post this that I overlooked that this game is Thursday…not Sunday. Good luck all! |

@Buffalobob89074 Good job with your picks Sunday. I liked three matchups yesterday. The two early won, but they were bad teams (Patriots and Panthers) so I didn’t pull the trigger. My third team was Houston. As prognosticators, you can think that you gave two games away? So I’m thinking, “maybe I missed today”. So, I turned away from Houston and went to the total. Even when your horse wins by a nose, you get paid. I’ll take it! |

Hello Covers Community. I had so many thoughts about the games his afternoon, but nothing led me to a lean. I really don’t focus on totals, but tonight, I will… The only angle I have tonight I have tonight is to fade the Lions based on their positive spread differential to this point. They are an incredible +71. In my decades of following this game, I don’t remember a stat like that. Stupid good. I would normally load up against a team like this, but the Lions are playing really, really well. So, I’m not taking a side. As I sit back and await tonight’s matchup between the Lions and Texans, I am going with the totals, and taking the under. My intuitive side, based on the number, and how the game will develop, see a “Mano y Mano” contest tonight. So, as Yogi Berra might have said….it’s never under until it’s over. Good luck all! |

@Buffalobob89074 Now that we are the halfway point of the season, you need to do your homework. It’s effin tedious, but it can be rewarding. You need to look at the differential of cover/ not cover versus the game time spread. Example….team A is favored by 4.5. They win by 17. They get a +12.5. Example….team B is a dog by 8.5. They lose by 3. They get a +5.5. Example…team C is favored by 4. They lose by 10. They get a -14. Add up every teams differential to this point. For all their games. Any team that has a huge differential with a “plus” …fade them. Any team that has a huge differential with a “minus”…consider in your plays. Hope this turns on a lightbulb….

Hello Covers community! In a good mood as my horse connections gave me the “heads up” on a Breeders Cup race winner who was 20-1 ML and went off at 6-1 and got the money. Turning the page…. Last week I didn’t have any angle matchups, so I went with situational matchups. Laid an egg. So back to an angle game… Going to Arizona on Sunday. Angle…which has won before this season, is to go against any road team that didn’t cover last week which ended a minimum three game winning streak with the spread. Got it? And when you look at the games both teams played last week…the Cardinals had a walk off FG to win on the road. The Bears lost on a Hail Mary. Now Chicago has to travel to the desert. Goooooo Cards! Good luck all! |

Hello Covers Community! Thursday night’s game was “berry, berry goot for me”, so we are going to look to pile on for Sunday… Looking at the late games. No angles here, just situational plays that I feel favor the dogs. The first game takes me to Seattle. The Seahawks were my top pick last Sunday and came through with a thorough beat down on the road against Atlanta. The visiting Bills will be playing their first non-conference game Sunday traveling cross country to golf Seattle. Tough spot. Also, their wins have come against teams that are a combined 10-23. The Seahawks need a home win Sunday because their next three games are versus divisional foes. I like the home team here. The next game has me on the Panthers for the second time this season. I had them in their only win this season versus the Raiders. Maybe I have my finger on the pulse with Carolina? My observation here is that this game could be a sandwich game for Denver. Last week, Coach Payton had an emotional matchup as he returned to New Orleans and opened up a can of whoop ass against his former team. Now, next week, the Broncos travel to Baltimore for a meeting with the Ravens. Even if the Broncos have a nice lead going into the 4th quarter, I’m banking that the Karolina Kitty Kats will have the keys for the “back door cover”. Good luck all!

Hello Covers Community. I’m not a big fan of Thursday contests, but this one has grabbed my attention… If a road team did not cover the spread in their last game, which broke a minimum of a three game winning streak in covering the line, go against them. That would mean the Vikings are susceptible tonight. Good luck all…

Hello Covers Community….let’s goooo! The Falcons host the Seahawks on Sunday. The home team is riding high with three straight wins against divisional opponents. Next week they go on the road to face Tampa Bay. Meanwhile, the Ospreys have had ten days off and will show up on Sunday. I look at this as a bit of a sandwich game for the Dirty Birds, meaning….not a good spot. Taking Seattle here. I’m not a sports psychologist, but I believe the Raiders are a train wreck right now. Adams…gone. Crosby… maybe gone. The coach has called the team out for playing while making “business decisions”. The Rams have beaten the 49ers and played well last week against the Packers at home. A generous spread is a sign that guys smarter than me are fading Vegas. Go Rams. Finally…the Vikings are coming off their bye week. The Lions are coming off an absolute beat down of the Cowgirls in Dallas. Brian Flores is cooking up something good in Minneapolis. Kevin O’Connell might be a “QB Whisperer” for what he has done with Sam Darnold. The Motor City Kitty Kats played a perfect game in Dallas last week. For those who may look at my threads, I am in complete throw out mode when a squad plays “lights out” the week before. This is Detroit’s first divisional game this young season, and find a tough spot versus the undeafeated Norsemen. Go Vikings. Good luck all! |

Gonna cross the pond and start the day early with the Jags facing da Bearz. I’m not sold on Caleb Williams. Going to ask to see last week’s performance again. I don’t think he will repeat. As far as Jax is concerned, I like the fact that they got their first W this year in a close game. In horse racing, we say the lightbulb got turned on. Meaning that Trevor Lawrence, after 8 straight losses, should play a good game again on Sunday. Taking the Cats. Heading down to N’Olins and riding the home team this week. The Saints should appreciate the home cooking and the electric atmosphere of the home crowd, along with Spencer Rattler facing off against another Sooner in Mayfield, is a nice recipe for a winning performance. The Bucs play their second consecutive road game for the first time this week and this isn’t a great spot for that. Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints? Good luck all! |
