I’m putting on my Dirty Harry persona today… Do you feel lucky today? Do ya? West Point bought this guy for $200k at the Fasig Tipton Sales. Physically, he’s a big boy. He will be suited for this two turn distance and the rider is 2 for 2 on his back. There will be speed to run at and he should be coming on the scene at the 1/8 pole. Good luck all! |

Houston vs Tennessee has two guys that usually play not to lose in a big game, instead of playing to win. I’m siding with Barnes, who might have his last chance at the buffet line with the Vols. He would love to take down Houston, since he coached the Longhorns back in the day. Michigan State vs Auburn is interesting as these schools have coaches who know how to win in March. On paper, grabbing the points with Sparty is my lean. Free throw shooting, rebounding, and a disciplined team checks the boxes here. Good luck all! |

Bama shot lights out the other night. Ask any guy who played ball at a high level…did you shoot great from the outside at a place where you had done it before? Check. Alabama also can crash the boards. Duke has D. The one thing that is disconcerting is the under/ over line is low. I would wait until Sunday for more action, especially if you had TT ML Good luck! |

For the many of you Coversinians who have been to LV for this time of year…nothing like it. If you haven’t been. Go. If not this year, next year. Go! Waking up at 8:30am and knowing in 30 minutes the day will be non stop action. I go back to the 80s. No way to check on results, if you weren’t at the Sportsbook. I was doing business in town and just finished up my day. Had action on a game and called a local number that gave you results. Guy answers the phone…live conversation, mind you… ”Checking on the Georgia/ St. John’s game”… ”Who’d you have”? Soooo cool. Go to Vegas and after the games, head for the Golden Steer for dinner. Good luck all. St. John’s is gonna be a tough out. |

Lazy Sunday watching golf and waiting for the NCAA draw. Here goes: Oaklawn Park race 8…#7 Kenzie Queen…draws well and her jock jumps on again following a first ride. Arietta moved a bit aggressively in last, running a 47.1 middle half. A more patient ride puts her in the photo race 9…#12 Campisi…another that will improve with an outside post. Nice return start in last and will be in the mix inside the 1/16 pole. Aqueduct race 8…#9 Master of Arms…will try to pick up the pieces, as there is early speed for Franco to run down. First start for Maker, who claimed this guy from Oscar Barrera III. The speed figures put him in the winners circle. Gulfstream Park race 10…#10 Timeless Wonder…first timer gets Irad Ortiz up. The only other time Irad rode for this trainer, the horse won by 10 lengths at 7/2 odds. Also a first time starter. Good luck all!

Playground rat back in the day. The Johnnies, on the surface, do not appear disciplined. However, Pitino is doing a fantastic job. The game was back and forth until…. The RedStorm threw street basketball at the Blue Jays and created distance. I feel their roster has that NYC mentality, and with The Godfather at the helm, they could go deep. Their point guard is good. |

Tampa Bay Downs. Great card. Here goes a few, “straight from the horse’s mouth”… race 4…#9 True Myth… lightbulb angle. Broke her maiden last out and can repeat going 9 furlongs race 6…#12 Accelerize…why are the owners trusting a first time $400k purchase to a trainer who has never started a horse? Because. race 8…#11 Silver Slugger…good post, especially after some scratches Good luck! |

Jockeys…Sofia Vives. Her parents have worked for Mark Casse for a couple of decades. She absolutely loves horses and when she gets on, the athletes understand. Another jock…Samuel Marin. Years ago, I watched an apprentice try every race. On the lead. Off the pace. I spoke with him when he was injured. One day he was watched the races in the stands at Aqueduct. No one knew who he was. I did. Told him he was a terrific rider. Humbled, he thanked me and said “I pray to God that happens”. Irad Ortiz. Marin has all the tools. Even more on the grass. Good luck all… |

Hello Covers Community. The season has come to an end. Before the game vs. the Rams, I texted my son and said if the the Eagles win this game give them the Lombardi trophy. Before the game vs. Washington, I texted my son and told him that Philly would win easily. Fast forward to SB LIX…. Live by the sword, die by the sword…stuck to my funeral/ wedding angle. I haven’t gotten blown out of a big game, ever, like I did on Sunday. I gotta admit, I’d rather get blown out than lose by a whisker. Congratulations to all the Eagles backers. They opened a can of “whoop ass” on KC. Six sacks, all without a blitz! |

We all should have our plays in by now. So here’s a irrelevant fact that is winning at 85%…
in NFL Betting Hello Covers Community. My plays are in. Yours should be too. Remember what we learned in 5th grade…in a multiple choice question, always go with your first answer. The 85% win statistic is, and most of you have heard it…. The team wearing white jerseys in the Super Bowl are 17-3 in the last 20 years. This is a good reply for your significant other to use when you go to a party later when that person is asked “who’s gonna win”? Hey, a post like this is like hearing predictions on an 8 1/2 hour pre game show. Good luck all… |

Bettor puts 800 grand on eagles to win it all and loads on the under by several
in NFL Betting @justliketoplay You need to win at 67% to show a profit… Good point for the naively uneducated sports gambler In baseball, you make the Hall of Fame with a .330 batting average. Betting sports, .330 you’re washing windshields |
