So the local bar in my neighborhood has a pick em pool that becomes a prop bet+game spread pool through the playoffs. I am 2 picks out of 1st place and have to choose sides to these following props. Please reply with why you like a certain side and if you can also include any odds you may see out there for some of these props, that's very helpful too! Thanks fellas and ladies!
New England +4.5 or Denver OU 55.5 pts OU 1.5 fumbles lost OU 3.5 FGs NE vs DEN (Time of Posession) 1st score TD or FG/Safety OU 1.5 INTs OU 4.5 Sacks San Francisco +3.5 vs Seattle OU 40.5 SEA vs SF (Time of Posession) OU 70.5 Total QB Rush Yds Gore or Lynch (most rushing yards) OU 1.5 INTs OU 1.5 fumbles lost OU 390.5 total passing yards by both teams I have some strong leans but would love any input! Thanks! |

If I titled this post "Detroit Lions Pool" nobody would read it. My friend started a pool. $50 buy in. 15 players. The winner receives $750 in BEER! Here's the deal; You choose if the Detroit Lions will win or lose, and you claim how many points they will score each week. Whoever is closest to the points wins 10, and if you nail it exactly, you get 25 pts. Each week, the win/loss payout pays different amounts depending on a spreadsheet sent out in the beginning of the season. If you choose the Lions to beat the Jets, and they do, you get 17 points. If you chose them to lose, and they do, you got 5 pts. I am leading the pool and was wondering if it would be wise to choose the Lions to beat the Jets at home. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins all the beer! ---- I think there is no other choice than to take the lions WIN and about 23 points. I wanted to share this idea with everyone and see what you guys thought. |

it does look too good to be true, but think about the 3000 mile trip, a 1:00pm game, and a recent win against a divisional rival
it MAY be time for a letdown -coming from someone who has lived in philly for the past 9 years the birds may be the pick |

hes probably offering the opening kickoff to be received by either team at -110?
take the cardinals if they win the toss, they will most likely want to start off on offense pittsburgh usually defers its my largest bet of the day and I got it at -200 |

Someone earlier in the week in this forum mentioned this bet; Cardinals to receive opening kickoff YES -220 NO +170 I think YES is a near sure thing. If the Cardinals win the coin toss, they will most definitely want the ball to start the game. If Pittsburgh wins the toss, I see them trying to show off their defense (they usually defer). This line opened at -115 for each side, and a few smart people bet it up to where it is now. Anyone else have any good props they have good reason to bet? FYI I also like this one; Total players to make a pass attempt; OVER 2.5 One little trick play and this hits. One QB injury and this hits. A blowout where a Byron Leftwich or Matt Leinart come in? It hits again. We have all seen Arizona AND Pittsburgh do this already this year. With the coaching matchup we have I think there is even more of a reason to use trick plays trying to outsmart each other or simply have some fun! |

you mean 4 individual players making rushing attempts?
i do believe they attempt a running play more than once a quarter |
