KC has not been in sync offensively in the preseason. I think losing Maclin is going to be bigger than KC thinks. Tyreek the Freak has looked horrible in preseason and is not fairing well as the number 1. It's not going to help any when he draws Gilmore tonight.
Pats defense are known to guard TE's really well and KC is relying on a rookie RB for opening night. I think KC comes out slow and sluggish on offense in this one. Pats -8 |

Pats covered a ridiculously high number last week when they laid 16.
The oddsmaker couldn't set this number high enough. Playing the OVER blindly with Atlanta being so hot at home going up against the hottest qb right now. |

I'm not even going to over think this. I was ready to grab it at 61.5, but somehow my line opened at 60.
No analyzing needed. Pats covered a huge ass spread vs the Texans, The Falcons and Packers will put up 30 points each. If one team fails to put up 30, the other will cover by scoring 40. |

It's a tricky bet Bc Bell's stop and start run style might not work if the field is sloppy and wet.

Pitts can score in bunches... @home. Big Ben is horrible on the road. Dallas and greenbay is a bit scary to bet with a rod being so hot, but I like the night game to be under.

I like it! I bet against my team all the time, if they lose, at least I made money. If they win, it's like paying for a win. :)

@tnguy67 - yes =)
@desertspade Who Dat! I'm only cheering for Atlanta b/c I hate Seattle almost equally as bad. If Atlanta advances from this round, I hope they get their behind handed to them after. I might have to boycott the Superbowl if Atlanta makes it. hahahah |

Lockett out for the year downgrades their special teams from great to avg again imo. Good luck with your bet though.

I locked in Atlanta -4 b/c I started seeing lines raise to 4.5.
Let's start with Seattle vs Det.
Seattle at home vs a wounded Det time that has slide since their Center and Theo Riddick has been injured. Let's throw in a LT and Staffords jacked up hands in that frigid weather at one of the loudest stadium. We'll add in a momentum changer with that facemask td catch, (Which was totally spectacular by the way), and you get an easy Seattle cover. Thomas Rawls came alive rumbling for almost 180 yards against a really good Det def. THe perception of Atlanta's def isn't a good one, so everyone is expecting a repeat performance. AFter watching arguably the best defense in College football history yesterday get gashed towards the end of the game, you'll understand that no matter how good your defense is, if your offense can't sustain drives, your defense will get worn out and gashed. Detroit was missing the two most important position on the OL. The QB has a jacked up hand, and their main running threat is really 4th on the depth chart. Atlanta will NOT have a problem sustaining drives so you can get that notion of Rawls rumbling for another 180 out of your head. Seattle isn't even a power running team anymore since Beast Mode retired. It is well documented that Matty ice is a choke artist when it comes to play off time with his 1-3 record. I think the difference in this game is Matty doesn't have to hvae a spectucular game for Atlanta to win. Freeman and Coleman will be the difference makers. I am a huge Saints fan and I hate Atlanta with a passion, but their passing game this year isn't what scares me. It's their two rbs. This Seattle team is not the same Seattle team of the past. When you have a power running game and a shutdown defense, you can play well at home AND on the road. THeir O line is so inconsistent, they are not a power run scheme offense anymore, they have lost their depth at the D line and they are also missing Earl Thomas who is easily one of the top 5 defensive player in the league. Give me Atlanta all day. |
