Take Toronto to comeback, -125. 5 units Very slow start for Toronto that allowed Arizona to score first after a sleepy first 10 minutes where the Maple Leafs did almost nothing. After the goal, Toronto pushed a lot and thats what I expect for the rest of the game. Toronto had enough chances in the last 10 minutes of the first period to have tied the game but they couldnt score so far. The second period will start with a powerplay for the home side by the way. |

Last pick of the day.
Anaheim Ducks vs San Jose Sharks Back to back for the Ducks and probably with Berra on net. Expecting a tough match for them. Anaheim won yesterday against Florida but their game was not good at all. They allowed million shots and Gibson posted a superb performance. After that tough night, I think that the Ducks will put Berra between the pipes today, but there is nothing confirmed. With Berra playing or not, I like the Sharks in here. Anaheim lost plenty of players because of injuries and the team is not playing very well. We are talking about a team that is offensively inefficient and the absences of players like Getzlaf or Kesler are petty important. Into my eyes, Kesler and Getzlaf are two of the best three offensive players this team has, along with Perry of course. San Jose is rested and needing desperately wins. 2 losses in a row and playing at home, against Boston and Florida, put them in a must win situation. After this match, they will travel to Vegas and Arizona for a short road trip. Take San Jose ML, -180. 4 units San Jose -1.5, +162. 1 unit |

Winnipeg Jets vs Nashville Predators
Hellebuyck and Rinne starting, two of the goalies that are playing better so far this season. Hellebuyck has 2.26 GAA while Rinne is 2.45 GAA. Great numbers for both goalies, but I still like the over. Winnipeg is probably my favourite team for the overs along with Toronto. Their gamestyle is very entertaining to watch and you will always have scoring chances in both sides if the Jets are playing. The goalies performances this season influenced too much the odds and the line for this over, but I really think both teams have enough firepower to score at least 6 goals. Taking a closer look to their goals numbers, we can see that Nashville at home scored 34 goals and allowed 25 in 8 matches. Average: 7.4 goals per match. Jets always plays faster at home so their numbers away are not that high. 26 goals for and 22 against in 9 matches. Average: 5.33 goals per match (playing at home it raises to 6.7 goals per match). Im not worried about those Jets numbers. It is a team that has a high paced hockey that fits really well with the overs. In a season where we are watching goals and goals, a line like this when the Jets are playing is simply a must take, even knowing that Hellebuyck and Rinne are pretty reliable GKs. Small-medium stakes anyway. Take over 5.5, +102. 1 unit |

You certainly seem to have all the bases covered! Thank you vixen! I think that the starting goalies are very important. In fact, one of the most important. I just posted the Toronto pick because Andersen was playing that well (I think he had 2 shutouts in a row) that it was impossible not to see him as starter. He was confirmed by the way. Arizona's GK was not that important because Raanta or Wedgewood wont be determinant. By the way, Raanta likely but not confirmed. Talking about injuries, I only put attention to it if the absences are important or too many. Important means that in Toronto for example I only would be worried if Andersen is out (the GK), Matthews, Marleau, Kadri, Rielly ... few more. Anyway, I like to know the absences or the possible absences for every match. Well, taking a look to the rest of the matches so you will have 1 or 2 more picks in few minutes. |

Arizona Coyotes vs Toronto Maple Leafs
Matthews is back so Toronto will be crushing goalkeepers over and over again. The past day I took their over was against Montreal and they scored 6 goals. A set in tennis. Matthews is simply awesome. The other day scored 2 goals after a long absence. Few shifts, 2 goals. In the next game his time on ice will be increased and the offensive production will increase for Toronto. We have a roster with Matthews, Marleau, Nylander, Kadri, Bozak, Hyman ... and a game style that is awesome to watch. Arizona is at this moment the worst team in the league with just 11 points. 85 goals against, nothing more to say. We have a weak team that will have million troubles stoping an awesome team offensively. 4 goals? Love it. Expecting at least 4 goals for Toronto is easy to explain why I like the spread for the Maple Leafs, right? Taking it too. Take Toronto team total over 3.5, +103. 5 units Take Toronto -1.5, +138. 2 units |

Carolina and Colorado won. Sadly the Kings are 3-0 down. The big question here is why Im still playing variable stakes and not flat stakes?. Im great hitting winners but awful chosing the stakes for each bet |

Liked Ottawa in this one just because the odds were simply ridiculous into my eyes but skipped it at the end. Good luck with the Rangers. They were playing well lately but their defense is not reliable at all imo. Anyway, the Senators are not that kind of team that likes the high scoring matches so that could be great for the Rangers.

Bernier is not that bad. His season has been dissapointing so far, but if we take a look to past seasons numbers we have that the past season for example, he started in 33 games and allowed 2.5 goals per game that is not a bad average. That was playing for Anaheim that is a very defensive team but in Toronto, his seasons were similar.
2.68 GAA in his career, 111-99 record. I would say that it was just a bad start of the season and to be clear, Im not a big fan of Bernier but just saying that he is not that bad. |

Last one for today.
Los Angeles Kings vs Vegas Golden Knights Its funny, finally the money is on the Golden Knights but I dont give a garbage about that. This is like the film "Grounghog day". Day and night betting against Vegas and they destroying me, but like in the film, the things have to change at the end to have a happy ending. Vegas is an expansion team and at somepoint they have to go down. Its a pretty limited roster that is having troubles with their goalkeepers because injuries. Today Subban is expected. Subban ... a goalkeeper that was kicked out from my Bruins after playing like garbage in every single chance the team gave him. It is impossible that the Subban I am talking about is now a superstar. Something smells bad in Vegas. I dont know if they are taking out the other teams to strip clubs just before the games or what, but almost every team in Vegas is underperforming. I cannot understand how this Vegas team is not destroyed day after day. As I said, this is like "Groundhog day" and I have to bet against Vegas. The Kings this year have been fantastic as they did yesterday so I have to trust them. It is a back to back but they had enough time to rest because their match was early. Take Kings ML, -106. 3 units Good luck and fade Vegas! |

The odds for Carolina raised a little bit so I was thinking about putting another unit but the raise was not enough so ...
Colorado Avalanche vs Detroit Red Wings Posted previously a pick for the Red Wings but today, Im going against them. Colorado is not one of my favourite teams, but the odds are simply ridiculous. Detroit showed some life as I said few days ago, but they are not reliable at all. We have a team that is not one of the best of the league, not one of the worst either but he is not that far of this second group. We are talking about a team under a huge reconstruction into my eyes so if you are expecting a playoffs team at the end of the season, you could be wrong. Colorado is not better, but it is not worse. They are in the same step of the stairs so I cannot understand the huge odds the Avalanche has here today. It looks even better when you realice that Colorado won 3 times in the last 4 visits to Detroit so ... I want to risk a little bit. Take Colorado ML, +166. 1 unit |

New York Islanders vs Carolina Hurricanes I like the Hurricanes this year. They built a pretty solid team defensively and that is the key of their success. Yesterday both teams had games and won so back to back for them. I am taking the Hurricanes here. The team is pretty good and I expect them fighting in the postseason while I have doubts about the Islanders. The best thing in Carolina is their defense while the Islanders struggles at that. Both teams can score goals so I think the big difference is how reliable they are in their back. Both teams arrive here in a good streak but I think Carolina is one step ahead from the Islanders. One of their biggest problems in recent years was their goalie and for that, they signed Darling. He posted a great performance yesterday but I dont know if he will play today. If we talk about goalies, we can say that the Islanders are having troubles at that this season because Greiss and Halak have been full of doubts. Yesterday Darling and Greiss, we will see today but I expect Darling and Halak. Carolina improved a lot this offseason signing people like Van Riemsdyk while people like Justin Williams, Skinner, Staal, Aho ... stayed with the team. I like this Carolina team and I expect them taking the W here. Take Carolina ML, -135. 2 units |
