@DontBetTheVols no it went to 47 in overtime, it was tied at 44 in regulation, I read somewhere that if both teams go in to regulation reguardless it called a push |

@Kaname484 Hey, I am with you bud, when I read that this morning, so much for the Oregon look ahead factor, Colorado will be zeroed in on CSU big-time I think Norville lost the remaining marbles he has left, 55-10 I am now taking Colorado to cover. |

OK I just read where CSU coach Norvelle just whipped some Sh-t to Dieon and I was NOT going to play Colorado, due to the Oregon up-next scenario, but now I am going with Colorado, period. |

@green33 yup, I am on Wyoming or overs, really what is there to do in Wyoming but hunt. ride horses, and play football I saw a bumper sticker on the back of a truck while visiting Wyoming once that said "Welcome to wonderful Wyoming, where our men are men and our sheep are nervous" so I guess after football season and Hunting season anything goes! |

Well in the Memphis Vs Hawaii game how much Motivation will Memphis be able to muster up in the first half, I have talked to friends who played against Hawaii before, and it's tough to go to an island of paradise and play a league game, where people are relaxing on the beach and have fun and you just got done with an 11-13 hour plane ride with a 1-2 hr layover in mid-America or west coast somewhere you get off the plane in Hawaii and now you have to get ready to play in a "who gives a shit bowl game" on Christmas eve. after you have a few days to relax have fun and its been 3 days short of a month since you have played a game. now the word "Motivation" comes into play for Memphis, HAWAII WILL BE HOME, IN THEIR OWN BOWL GAME, how do you figure. so being the line for the first half is set, will the Motivation start at kick-off? end of the first quarter? second quarter? second half? or be there at all? Hawaii will have some being they will be before a home crowd. I have no doubt Memphis can score but, when will it start? |

oops, my bad thanx Wizerguy.....Nevada is playing W. Michigan, but any of those games from the 23rd on through the 4th that are non-Championship games should be very interesting that's a long time off without playing a game, many are 6-6 7-5, etc, and especially WISCONSIN vs Arizona St, Hell who knows what that first half will be set at. the ones |

@Racerxtc Motivation is one of the MOST IMPORTANT parts of the Bowl game handicap. It is hard to handicap motivation but look for teams like Clemson that at the beginning of the year expected to be in the playoff And were National Champs a few years back and now are playing in the Cheezit bowl game???. (I'm not saying pick Iowa state right now I'm just using that as an example) I do have my eye on that one Iowa State would love to beat a high caliber team like Clemson. and since Clemson will be looking at just to show up, I expect Iowa State to be more focused. an early game that will have the scoreboard keeper busy, in my opinion, is Western Kentucky vs App State WK can score on anyone but they can be scored against also. The only time WK doesn't have a lot of points with another team in a game is when the other team, is just plain pitiful and WK holds it in the low 40,s and the other team has 20 when the total will be mid 60 or higher. but being the last game of the year, WK will be coming out gunning downfield big time, this will force App st to not be so complacent on offense also. the Memphis Hawaii game will be one to pound the under in the first half, Nevada vs E.Carolina is another one, so keep your eye on the totals in the first half. Much of the time the lines are set to what happens during the season so it's good to check out the first half spreads and attack them for the "UNDER" for the first half especially after Christmas. Teams that haven't played for a while timing will be off a bit. Usually, after Christmas both teams are motivated (Usually) offenses are slow at the beginning of the game MOST of The time We usually will see high-scoring games early in the Bowl Games, so it's not uncommon to see an inflated first-half total after Christmas while the offenses will be slow to get started. And also Don't be afraid of double-digit dogs. Motivation is such a huge factor in many of these bowl games it is not uncommon to see double-digit dogs win. |

Anyone else scared to make bowl picks because they’re afraid of players deciding to sit out?
in College Football I am from Oregon but I am very practical with the teams, I would defiantly go with Oklahoma, they didn't have to go through what Oregon went through plus Oregon will have one of their highly defensive players not showing up, and those last two games with Utah has them back on their heals....but you make one good point and that is they don't play until Dec 29th, who knows who will be Oregon's coach by then. They will have a fill-in just like Oklahoma. But I honestly feel those last 2 shellackings Oregon took from Utah at the end of the year, are tough to deal with maybe if you lose one then come back and lose a very close game the second time things would be different. but 2 games by the same score for a total of 72-17 I would go with Oklahoma. Oregon needs to reboot and that might take a few months. with a new coach, a new system and don't forget Oregon will be taking Ohio State at home early next year. |

in College Football I usually do good on bowl games I just stay away from the main playoffs, many of the Bowls are what I would call "show off" games one that comes to mind is Western Kentucky, App state, the only players with no sweat on them will be the running backs game Hell it started out at 66.5 that game should go to low 80,s or more if not in the high 70,s I could really care who wins and I think the teams feel the same way. plus there are a few more that will be in that category. It was 2 or 3 years ago it was either Huston and Army or wake forest and Army over and under was 54.5 for some strange reason I picked the overs, even though Army was usually in low scoring games, Hell Army was the only team that showed up they won 66-10. normally all military teams will play at their best so due to their "Disciplinary" training. so Good Luck Gents! |

I am an Oregon supporter been living in Oregon for my whole 72 years, played ball in the state, and have been watching OSU, and Oregon all the while, going to their practice, etc. but I am like many of you, don't really know what Miami is thinking when they say "returning to greatness again". but what was wrong with Manny? Hell, 7-5 isn't that bad he is just a signee or 2 of going 9-3 which is excellent. trying to return to what you once were is going to take a Hell of a lot better coach than Cristobal, they say he has won the Pac 12 title 2 years in a row, well kinda, don't forget Washington was supposed to play Oregon to find out who would play USC, Washington had some players that came down with Covid, so Oregon was a shoo-in and yes they kicked the Hell out of USC. then went on to play Iowa St in the fiesta bowl and lost big time 34-17. wasn't impressed with that loss at all, Mario was outcoached. Then this year came around almost lost to Fresno st 31-24 then beat Ohio St at Ohio St. BIG WIN FOR Cristobal that is when I feel Miami started to seek out Mario. but after that win, Oregon wasn't taking dominance over teams as they should have. Losing to Stanford in overtime was absolute. rediculous. then when it came down to crunch time, losing 2wice to Utah without an effort did it for me with a 76-17 total score. If Miami thinks they will return to prominence with Mario they can have at it. Hell, he has great players do to his recruiting ability. so where were they on those 2 games with Utah that they lost 78-17? There is a saying that "a great coach needs great players" well the 2 losses with Utah if Oregon has the great players. but the great Coach is nowhere to be found, he was supposedly going to Miami, Really? have fun Miami. Now, who will Oregon get for its next coach? some will say Chip Kelly but Chip no longer runs the "blur" offense, the game has caught up to him, at one time his offense was something, now many are now running it, one is western Kentucky, and a few others run it at times. But I am sure with Mr. Phil knight having DEEP pockets and Oregon having a ton of talent to come up with Oregon will pick a very good coach for many of them to stay. |

I have been reading every newsprint imaginable, including this forum, everything from "Georgia is nervous? to "Bama will win big time" to "Georgia has not played anyone" all I have to say about all this is "Bovine Scatology" Georgia is not Nervous, other than what every team goes through before a big game, Georgia will smack Bama in the mouth as much as Bama will smack Georgia in the mouth, all in all, I just hope it will be a hell OF A GAME, I would like to see Bama or Georgia start right off throwing the ball downfield, no you don't get away from the run, you just set the defensive backs on the opposite side of the field back on their heels. But I am afraid both teams will play low-risk offensive plays that will make the game boring as hell till someone starts scoring. |

It's usually a 41-17 when USC was a stronger team But now it's 24-17 |
