The most intriguing thing about this MNF game is that everywhere I look, I see people just as confident in Houston covering as in Houston winning this game. When this happens with a -1 or a -3 or even a -4 favorite, it is easy to understand, because these teams basically only need to win to cover the spread, but when it happens with a -9 favorite, you have to ask yourself if something is wrong with the public handicapping this game. The rule of the thumb is, the spread does matter when it is big. Anyways, here is a system plays for Sunday:
Single digit favorites after winning on the road Monday are 3-20 ATS against any team off of loss. System play: Jax +5.5 |

Guys, remember 1 thing. Every week in the NFL we have good teams losing against bad teams. And no team is as bad as it looked last week. In last 122 games involved unbeaten and .500 teams, the unbeaten team won 73 times which is not even 60%. The .500 team covered the line 64 times with 1 push, which is good for 53%. 4-0 teams are only 7-8 straight up in 15 games against 2-2 teams and never won against them if the 2-2 team lost its last game (0-5 straight up). I am not asking Jets to win, but to stay within 9 points.

By the way, home teams that lost last week at home by more than 30 and scored 10 or less in that game are 10-0 ATS since 1998.

When in the playoffs the home team with better record is not favored by more than 5, the record for the home team is 9-21 ATS.

Small favorite of 1 or 1.5 pts after losing as a dog is 19-44 ATS if the opponent has the better record and just won as favorite.

Seriously some college games don't even get that much action. And these ATS and .xxx% numbers are completely irrelevant. Countdown to ban please. Why are you so angry ? Calm down little fella. Nobody is forcing you into anything. Good luck. |
