it is the last official WNBA preseason game tonight at 8:00 PM EST

the already banged up New York Liberty with their clueless coach Bill Laimbeer plays a team from the Minnesota Lynx that obviously is not interested in the results of these preseason action,their first preseason game the Lynx lost by 23 points against the Mystics without even really trying

after Laimbeer waived their 2 promising rookies Amber Orrange and Lauren Mincy and Epiphany Prince is in Europe playing Eurobasket 2015 the actual Liberty roster is down to 12 player

so the odds for this game from -8.0 in favour of the Minnesota Lynx seems logical, but as i said Carol Reeves never paid attention to preseason results in the past,and the Liberty are already under pressure with the season not even started, I have the feeling that it is not a bad bet to take the Liberty plus the points here tonight

I hate this shady character and his behaviour, 2 years ago he ran Leilani Mitchell off the league with his silly comments,the whole team last year was playing aginst him, he failed to reach the play offs 2 years in a row with a great team, this year he transefered the world class spanish point guard Anna Cruz who had a rock solid year, the Liberty traded for Draft picks 

the Liberty drafted 2 of my favorite College Players this year , Lauren Mincy from the Maryland Terrapins and Stanfords Amber Orrange, and boy oh boy after Laimbeer ran off Cappie Pondexter to the Chicago Sky he had the chance withthese two TOP rookies to finally go for a play off spot 

what do i have to read now Bill Laimbeer waived BOTH  of them WTF?? is this guy for real, in my initial post i already wrote this guy wont make it through the season, now i say he wont make it halfway through the season :)

good job Laimbeer, first he ran off Cappie Pondexter and Anna Cruz, now two of the best rookies the league has to offer ,considering Ephiphany Prince is playing in Europe because of her commitment for Belarus i predic these deason will go even more worse than last years

New York Liberty has waived guard Laurin Mincy, the team has announced.

Mincy, a 6-foot-0-inch guard out of the University of Maryland, was drafted in the third round (27th overall) of the 2015 WNBA Draft.

During her senior season at Maryland, she averaged a team-best 13.5 points per game, leading to Second-Team All-Big Ten honors. Mincy helped guide the Terrapins to consecutive Final Four appearances and a Big Ten regular season and tournament title in 2015.

New York Liberty has announced that guard Amber Orrange and center Shanece McKinney have been waived by the team.

“I want to thank Amber and Shanece for all of the hard work they put forth during our training camp,” said Laimbeer. “I am excited about the team we are putting together, as we continue to prepare for opening night against Atlanta next Friday.”

Orrange, a 5-foot-7-inch guard out of Stanford University, was drafted in the second round (23rd overall) of the 2015 WNBA Draft. She was a three-time All-Pac 12 selection with the Cardinal, and ranked 20th all- time at Stanford with 1,414-career points. Orrange had appeared in a pair of preseason games for the Liberty, averaging 6.5 minutes per game.

In her second professional season, McKinney originally joined the Liberty as an undrafted free agent in 2014. The Louisiana State product averaged 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in 24 appearances with New York last season. McKinney appeared in both of the Liberty’s preseason contests, making one start.

Considering Epiphanny Prince is currently in Belarus, playing for Russian National Team, the Liberty has 12 active players in the camp with whom they can begin the season.

unusual, for the first time I saw WNBA pre season odds at 5dimes

the reigning champions Phoenix Mercury have to play the entire season without Diana Taurasi who deceided to sit out the 2015 season

The Seattle Storm with a new coach - Jenny Boucek(long time assisstant coach under Brian Agler) the #1 and #3 Draft Picks Kaleena Mosqueda Lewis and Jewell Loyd,

Kaleena -Mosqueda Lewis who broke all records during her NCAA career maybe the best shooter the WNBA has seen(even better than Taurasi)

Mercury with great additions to their roster, excited to see Monique Currie (one of the blockbuster aqquisations in offseason) and the spanish point guard Marta Xarguy, I am not a big fan of pre season Basketball  and I am missing odds on the Total here, Currie with her physical play and her experience,but also the signing of another WNBA veteran Noel Quinn and the return from point guard Leilani Mitchell to the league will help the Mercury with their mission to defend the title

if I have to lean a side here it would be the Champions Mercury -4.5 , I have also no Info on how the 7 game suspension for Brittney Griner is handled and preason games count towards the 7 game ban
well not sure about the rosters and who is playing tonight, I did not pulled the trigger yet, if there is a total available by game time i would give the OVER a try , and even Taurasi is not available there are plenty of excellent shooters in both rosters, the Mercury signed Shameka Criston from the San Antonio Stars, they have Anete Jekabsone who can shoot from long range, although i am not sure if Jekabsone is available because of her commitment for Latvian NT

the Mercury Roster have so much depth and will be ready to defend their title, for the Storm is to say that the 2 exceptional rookie stars have the potential to start a new era for the Storm, overall I dont see them playing for the title but a play off spot in the strong Western Conference should be no problem 

the first 2 pre season games took place tonight

the Chicago Sky played the New York Liberty in EDD home @Delaware the Sky won 83-55 

Elena Delle Donne led the Sky to a easy victory with 18 points, Cappie Pondexter with only 5 points in 12 minutes playing time

in the second game the Tulsa Shock blow out the San Antonio Stars 81-51

Skylar Diggins with 17 points in 22 minutes already in good pre season form, the #2 Draft Pick Center Amanda Zahui in her first game for the Shock with 12 points in 18 minutes and 11 rebounds

on saturday we have Connecticut vs Indiana and Washington vs Atlanta

?another player will be missing games because of Eurobasket , Epihany Prince from the Liberty

American guard Epiphanny Prince will play for Russia this summer in EuroBasket Women 2015, she has confirmed to Assosiated Press

As a result Prince will not make her debut with New York Liberty until very late June or early July.

Judging by the fact that Russians have already confirmed their squad for the upcoming tournament in Spain, it seems likely Prince will join the Russians after that tournament, sometimes next week perhaps.

Prince was on the Russian preliminary roster, announced a couple of months ago, but since then there has not been any mention of her or her American-Russian compatriot Deanna Nolan, who was also on that list.
