The Spain team is very technical. They did not do so great at the first round but they demonstrate all the skills and tactics of a world class team. They are pretty much as even as the US team.

The US defense is not really tested. Their mid-field is solid. But they are average at the attack. The only player that scare me is Robin Heath. Rapinoe is old. Alex Morgan is weak. She can't only feasted on weak team. Lloyd is a much stronger weapon but she does not get the start. As long as Alex Morgan is starting, I will continue fading the US team.

Canada can't break down Sweden defense. I can't believe Sanclair is not taking that PK. Any way, the better team, Sweden, move on.

Agree! both matches are tough. For the first one, my heart says Italy but my head says China so no play on the side. For the second one, I am leaning hard on Netherlands but the line seems odds. Netherlands should be favor by more than half and goal. The book might know something that I don't - need to dig deeper to confirm Netherlands is the play.

Japan actually played better in the 2H today. They have a great future ahead of them.

Netherlands is surprising passive in the 2H. They need to do better in the next game if they want to advance further.

USA (W) to Advance -160

USA (w) win World Cup +140

Despite a lack luster performance, The US team is still a better team compare to the rest. The number one weakness for this team is Jill Ellis' ability to manage the personnel. In the game against Spain, She waited so late to put on fresh legs. And should have bring in Lloyd at the start of 2H in place of Morgan. I hope that she will let Lloyd starts the next game and make better choices with substitution. If Lloyd starts, It is almost a guarantee that the US will win the match.

I put these in early because of good value. The US has so many good players at every position. If Jill Ellis can manage the game, the USA team will win the CUP.
