Ronaldo and Messi

Both of them are absolutely incredible and there is no doubt about that but if you actually watch them play. Ronaldo is better than Messi, hands down. 

Ronaldo is faster.
Ronaldo is better in the air.
Ronaldo has better footwork.

Ronaldo literally does everything better than Messi. I'm so confused on how someone can think Messi is better unless they just don't watch the games and are just saying Messi is better cuz they wanna say it and because Messi is on more FIFA covers..

Regardless the top 3 best players in the world right now are:

Ronaldo, Messi, and Hazard. So it honestly doesnt even matter who's better because they're both incredible and will both go down as top 5 players of all time.

Messi is better all around. He does what Barca needs him to do. He was hustling back to win the ball back today. He creates chances and scores. Ronaldo is a great player but is too selfish and is a glory person. He had great talent around him at Man U and Madrid. He doesn't do crap for Portugal when Messi is the main man for Argentina. Messi is better period.

Dude,     I started a thread on Covers yesterday about wagering on the over in the game. This site is dedicated to exactly that. I misspelt Messi as Nessi by accident, so I made note of it to ensure no one thought I was being disrespectful. I put one small sentence that said " My appologies to the best player in the world ".

This Newbie decides to start a thread where he calls me out on it. You can think whatever you want, just as many people here, and in my thread do, but making this personal is really starting to piss me off. LEAVE MY NAME OUT OF IT.

Ronaldo is not faster than Messi nor does he have better footwork.  Where Ronaldo dives Messi is able to keep going through tons of defenders who can't even slow him down.

Ronaldo struggles when his midfield struggles, Messi is the midfield.

People were saying Messi relies on Iniesta/Xavi yet those two have declined rapidly and Messi is still the best player in the world.

Messi is also 100 times the playmaker Ronaldo is.  You look at the best passes from Messi this season and they annihilate Ronaldo's.  Ronaldo is merely a poacher at this stage who gets most of his goals from tap ins and penalties.

Messi is on the verge of a treble and a run away winner for his 5th D'or whereas Ronaldo will end up trophyless unless Madrid shock Barca in the final (assuming they beat Juventus.)

See, everybody loves Messi, because he gets in there and does the job. Ronaldo is a whiney girl and always will be. Whens the last time you saw Messi put his boot into a player or grab them. Never, it doesn't happen and with regards to Ronaldo, quite the opposite. He gets red carded, complains, thinks he's the man and never or hardly ever distributes the ball. He a me, me, me player and he doesn't care about anyone but himself. Yes, he is talented and has speed and power, and can take a decent free kick. I'm sorry, but Messi is the player people want to play with. He's the man.

In terms of pure technique and talent, it isn't even close. Messi is the best player on the planet, and is in the "best ever" conversation. Ronaldo is really good too, don't get me wrong - but Messi is on another level. Ronaldo might very well be the most fit athlete in the world, however, and I'll give him that. Ronaldo won those Ballon d'Or's mostly because of the number of goals he scored, and his most recent one mostly due to Messi coming off an injury and having an off year. When it comes to all-around play and being a playmaker, it's not even close. When it comes to being a team player, Ronaldo is not one. They both have the best talent around them, so that is a null point IMO. Of the all-time players I had the privelege to watch through the years (I am not old enough to have seen Pele play), Maradona and Messi are the best players I have ever seen. There are many players I would rank ahead of Ronaldo all-time, e.g. Zidane, the Brazilian Ronaldo, Van Basten, Baggio, Gullit, Rivaldo, Platini, and Figo, just to name a few. So those backing Ronaldo, please stop insulting our intelligence. You don't know futbol, I'm sorry
