BRAZIL VS MEXICO OVER 2.5 GOALS & -1.5

• Mexico come into this game weaker at the back with Héctor Moreno suspended. Alvarez, Salcedo, Ayala, and Gallardo should make up the back 4 for this game.
• Marcelo picked up an injury in the last game and isn't starting, Danilo (RB) is also available for selection again too.
• Brazil scored two in their last two games (Costa Rica & Serbia) but also created a ton of great goal scoring chances, we expect more of the same here especially with Neymar slowly but surely returning to full match fitness.
• Serbia had Brazil looking very nervous at the back for periods of their last game, so we can’t discount this dynamic Mexican attack either.
• Mexico have seen overs (2.5) in 4 of their last 5 competitive games
• If Brazil do score first we’ll likely see Mexico open up with the overs landing with ease, Both teams are vulnerable on the counter attack, but Mexico more so.
• Brazil faced 3 very physical teams in the group stages (Serbia, Costa Rica, and Switzerland) this will be a much more favourable match up for the Selecao
• Once they began trailing to Sweden in their last game Mexico fell apart, we’re expecting the same here especially if Brazil take an early lead.

BELGIUM -1.5

• Japan have recorded one win so far vs 10 man Colombia, drew with Senegal despite being 2nd best, and lost to a Polish team who had nothing to play for.
• Belgium have won all of their last 8 competitive games and were unbeaten in their World Cup warm up friendlies (W5 D2)
• Belgium had the luxury of fielding their B team in their win over England so they’ll come into this game the fresher of the two
• Japan have now lost their last 5 games against European opposition after suffering that 1-0 loss to Poland
• After the group stages Belgium lead the tournament for goals scored, goal difference, and goals from open play. Their attack looks dynamic and in Roberto Martinez they now have a shrewd tactician who can change things up if needed.
• As we know Belgium won’t look to take the foot off the pedal if they take an early lead, it’s not Martinez’ style to try and protect a 1-0 so that’s why we’ve chose to go with the -1.5 handicap here
• Unless Japan can get an early goal and the Belgians heads drop we don’t see how this bet doesn’t land, Belgium have all the weapons needed to dismantle the Samurai and send them home.
• Also as we seen against Poland, stacking 5 at the back isn't a strategy that works very well for this Japanese team

BOL Vaas, I don't really like anytime goalscorer markets but if I was going to play, I would take Coutinho at almost double those odds, hope neymar scores a hat-trick tomorrow and we all win 

i do agree with you, he is in pure form and odds are triple but I'm always scared of some regression. well not regression but maybe him facilitating more...? why would he be such high odds too if he's been their in form man. obviously neymar is the biggest name so he'll garner the steam. idk. neymar has to wake up eventually, it seems like a more sure bet even though nothing is for sure. 

The value was in the under which is why I jumped on and took brazil -1.5...1-0 now, so mexico will open up. See how this game changes at this point I guess.

SWEDEN TO QUALIFY 

• The big news here is the massive weakening of Switzerland’s robust defence, Stephan Lichtsteiner (Captain) will be a huge miss at RB as will Fabian Schär at CB
• These two defenders have played almost every minute so far in Russia and played the most minutes during qualification.
• Stand ins Lang (RB) had only 100 mins in qualification and CB Djourou hasn’t played a minute of football at this year's tournament. Expect that defensive chemistry to break down in this game
• Although we benefited from it, Switzerland were fortunate qualifying, in their 1-1 with Brazil they had a controversial goal that was arguably a foul and should have been disallowed, against Switzerland they relied on a wonder strike from Xhaka and against Costa Rica they gave up an uncharacteristically high amount of chances (2-2) to one of the weakest attacks in the competition.
• Sweden continued their trend of being extremely well organised and hard to break down, they finished top of their group and in all honesty should have won all 3 of their group games. They were the better side vs Germany
• On paper this looks like a stalemate with teams that don’t give away too much but we have to give the edge to Sweden after their excellent group phase and Switzerland’s absentees in defence

COLUMBIA +0.5

• One constant has remained at this World Cup for England and that is that they’ve looked very nervous at the back and considering the expectation now on their shoulders we think there’s a good chance Colombia can cause some problems for their defence.
• England have conceded at least once in 6 of their last 7 World Cup games.
• England have conceded at least once in 8 of their last 10 games at International tournaments with the only clean sheets coming against Slovakia and Costa Rica
• Colombia have scored in all of their last 8 World Cup games.
• Colombia are undefeated in 8 of their last 10 competitive games
• England have won only 1 of their last 6 encounters with European sides at the World Cup
• England failed at their first real test at this World Cup losing to Belgium, both teams did field weakened teams but England were very much second best in that contest

Verdict: This should be a close contest but we have to side with the South Americans, England's wins against lesser opponents (Tunisia & Panama) has given us an inflated price on Colombia to win or draw here. Take the value.

i do really like columbia. if england shows up, so be it. I'm sort of rooting for them but the definition of insanity is doing something over and over again expecting different results. sort of sounds like playing with england in knockouts lol. Ill gladly take the -125 on WIN/DRAW chances with columbia. 

sweden feels like a bit more of a gamble....but the analysis is there. not like dogs haven't been barking all tourney.
