Yes they pay out for real. Multiple people have won the $25K only one person has won the $100K. They pay you by check of PayPal from my understanding. They usually make a big deal about it. Fly you to Vegas for the Weekend and present you one of those big promotional checks like you see with lottery winners.

I won a CFL contest some years ago and was sent a check from a Canadian bank, but it was literally about 10 years ago, maybe more. Sounds like there are other ways (of course) to be paid more expeditiously these days.
