My streak came to an end last night at fifteen. Amassing this streak was not difficult, it was after all one pick at a time. What eventually did me in was focussing on the prize of $100,000. I had to do battle with my emotions and when you do that you are a goner. After I made my pick I began preparing for my Tuesday pick as I knew I just stepped out of the competition. I made an impulse pick after having realised that I was eliminated. I will streak again starting Tuesday and will win the top prize.
To all the individuals who still have an opportunity to claim the top prize, just remember it is one pick at a time. Have patience and keep doing what you have been doing to amass your streak. If your streak ends accept it and start streaking again. I appreciate a competition such as this one as it allows me to test my handicapping skills. I have developed a speciality in total points for NBA basketball and used that for this competition. I have been offering my services to bettors in my home country for a few months now with some good results, however you still want to test yourself. Lol. I am not going to give out my system, even so it is a little complicated. It is a combination of stock market like analysis, psychology, stats and big data analytics. That is why the pick I lost on bothered me, it didn't follow the principles that I generally use it was a frustration pick. I bet over and under's, mainly overs because of my system. I am developing something for handicaps but that isn't ready as yet. I need to test it out first.

That sounds interesting, I do quite a bit of reading and odds watching. This is a challenging way to make money if you bet right. You are right it has similarities to the stock market. Understanding the bookmakers is important, by the way you made a rookie mistake with portland it was a bookie trap game.

If only you knew how wrong, my system told me not to take philadelphia for over in any game over 216.5 but still I went for it. I avoided the trap with their games prior to this. The Houston Rockets is the most statistically and psychologically inconsistent team in the league so I hate them. However they have a trend of late thanks to the book makers. Picking them under is ok for now but this is risky because they do not trend well. Their games are the riskiest bets.

Yeah bro, big error on my part. I got impatient I was waiting on spurs clippers to fall to 204.5 by time it did I already made that pick. I have no idea what I was thinking. I am sure that is what folks who lose say. I am back in the money today. Sorry for your loss, you can start checking out my picks once I get back to nine. There are a few land mines waiting next week. I wouldn't advise anyone to follow a streaker until they get to nine. Peace out

The same thing happened to me in Jan. 09 when 90% of my picks were NBA overs. On Jan. 19th I took the Milw-Port game over at 193 and ended my 15 game streak.

What was your experience like? Did you start thinking about the money and forgot the system that you were using? Impatience got me, I had the spurs game lined up as my pick then paul went down. I had the game finishing 112-104 with chris playing. with him out i expected around 205 so i was waiting on it to fall from the 206.5. turns out it went over that number anyway. philadelphia and portland at 224.5 was the classic bookie trap game so I gaffed on that. What caused your gaffe?

My problem was I took several days off to think about my next pick and that was my downfall. If your on a streak taking a day or two off could be your demise.

When you do that emotions get involved so yes I agree. my hardest pick was 13. I look out for certain match ups as well so when i do that and take days I am fine. When I thought about the money and took days I was out. You live and you learn I do not intend to make the same mistake again, if I am to lose it must be an off night for a player or a team or I am flat out wrong, it must not be because of my carelessness like this time.

My currency is different than yours, my dollar is 100-1 to the United States Currency. That being said I bet between $50-$400 US or $5000-$40,000 Jamaican per game. Normally I bet two games and with the betting agency I prefer to use we have the option of parlaying winners plus the total points. To minimise error I do not normally bet more than two games.
