Craps and Dice Control

Question

I have recently started watching dice control videos on youtube and reading up on what i'm calling a "theory". I went to AC this weekend with 3 friends and put my theory to the test. As luck or skill would have it, at the craps table, my rolls were the most profitable. My two friends crapped out very quickly every time and my other friend had mixed results. I on the other hand, was the only one shooting the dice like i watched and read in a "strategic" manner. I had rolls that turned $44 bets on the table into $500 twice. Besides maybe twice, i lost money while rolling.

Now i know every dog has his day but is it just a coinicidence that the only person using dice control methods and not just winging the dice against the wall, was the only person to be a profitable roller? I always rolled closest to the middle of the table, held the dice in the correct sets, and was actually yelled at a couple times because my dice werent reaching the back wall. On my best roll of the night tho, my dice were hitting the back wall everytime. Just curious if anyone has an opinion on this.

yes it works however keep wins small and you make a living at craps however i have good friend Named Bill who worked craps in Vegas.

he was floor boss at where he worked long time ago.

Any way he knew about this and today Casinos are changing the padding to a softer cushiny surface which drastically causes dice to bounce differntly.

BUT i still think with practice on same surface you can control dice with that perfect pendulum arm swing.

ME i have a simple system for winning at craps and no Casino will stop me because i play dark side they want to pay me instaed of paying out 100's to pass line players.

Aslo i never touch the dice even if on hot table i do not want to break the rhythm of other shooters.

However when i play it's late at night or like 1 = 2 am when i find tables with 5 - 6 players holding chips in hands praying to make numbers

pick my spot hand my card buy in for whatever and 1 - 2 hours later walk away with 500 - 100 $ profit 100% of the time

my uncle plays dont pass and sometimes i see him up a lot, others down a lot so i'm not sold on betting against the pass line.

Dice control is a very interesting theory and i'm very into learning more about it. Of course when you triple your bankroll playing craps, you tend to believe what may or may not be true. If i lost, i doubt i would have posted a thing. But since trying the dice control tactics, i have been a profitable craps shooter. This last trip with my 4 friends was the best and showed me how when they rolled, there was no advantage. Two of them couldnt hit a damn thing all night. Another friend had 1 long roll and the rest were sporadic. I was on the only consistent dice thrower out of us, having two long rolls, a bunch of medium ones where i hit 2 quick points, and then rarely a short one under 5 rolls.

Congratulations on your winnings at the Craps table. I practice Dice Influencing when i go to Vegas also. I usually play the "dark side" on the rest of the shooters and use the winnings to spread across the table when i've got the dice.

I was considering buying a book on dice control but it seems most information on this strategy is available on youtube and google. I think my money would be better spent on a craps table to practice on but they seem to be very very expensive

ace you do not need full size craps table and old used ones are very low priced you could probably get one for under 1000$

or maybe build one you do not need the numbered felt just same type of felt and the padded walls and same lenght

only problem is chips stacked that dice will hit and yes on you tube there is a team of guys who got banned from every casino

yeah i watched the dominator&#x27;s story, pretty awesome if its all true. I&#x27;ve seen videos of people building their own tables for $60 and i also saw a cheap set up on ebay. Trying to get some friends to gain an interest in this with me but none seem to believe in this theory. Always fun to go about these things with a partner. Helps keep the motivation before the money (hopefully) starts coming in lol

OR at laest charge them a hefty sum to learn.

like maybe about $5000 each rember the more people who learn this it gets harder n harder to win because every house will say no setting dice pick them up as is and throw or leave table.

thats why i like my way best i never touch the dice i just am non participating player place my bets against lay odds and collect.

Ace, I went to the casino on Friday and I threw some dice. I use dice control and I set the dice in a hard set with the 5's on top with the aces pointing right and the 6's pointing left. I threw 41 straight times before I sevened out. I bought in for $200 and cashed out at $680. I don't believe that you can "control" the dice but, you can "influence" them by setting them properly and throwing them properly. The table was loving me because we all made some money. Since I started to shoot craps, I am 4-1...4 winning days and one losing day...table was very cold so, I didn't stay long. I stay away from the center action...those are sucker bets. I make a pass line bet and once the point is established, I place odds behind my passline bet. I then place a come bet and I work through the come. I like to get 2 to 3 come bets in action with odds and sit back and try to collect some money. I think it is wrong to throw $52 across once the point is set...you see guys do it all of the time. They just want action. But, if the shooter throws a 7 right away, you just lost $52. It is too risky and you get very little return on investment. If you get a hot table, just keep going through the come and you will keep establishing numbers, take odds on those numbers and keep collecting the money!!!

nice job mortgage, i like to bet the passline with odds and the 6/8 when i roll. At a $10 table, i start off with $12 on the 6/8 then go to 24, 30,42, 60, 90, 150, 270. At a hot table or even catch a little streak on the 6/8, you could make some nice money betting like this. Plus each roll besides the first one, you are pocketing some change. And i always throw a dollar on the fire bet because hey, it happens lol. I do like the strategy betting the come bet and setting a couple points but i really like to turn $12 into over $100 and have it working for me throughout my roll. One hot roll, take the money and run. Longer you stay at the tables, the more of a chance they have at getting their money back. Although, does this same rule apply to someone using dice control? Because dont we have the edge at this point? Something to consider

So i was in atlantic city this past friday and to put it simply, took an absolute beating. I think i hit two points the entire night, using the same dice control methods that were so successful last time. It got pretty ugly lol.

However, when i was rolling at a table that just opened by myself, a pitboss was watching and was going out of his way to tell me how setting the dice and everything i was doing, didnt do anything. He told me i should just chuck them at the wall. Now this made me suspicious and the guy did seem like kind of a d!ck. Im there spending my money, i can roll however i want. Who is he to tell me how to roll unless maybe as a pitboss, he is worried about dice control/ influence. Despite the losses, this made me think i might be onto something.

I read this somewhere and it made me laugh: "When youre winning, its obviously because of dice control. When you lose, its because of bad luck."

Ace - I read a book before going to vegas on dice control and being a stats guy....the theory made sense but still kind of skeptical.  I was at a table where both shooters who applied this technique shot from either side of the stickman (as the book described - shortest distance to the end of the table) ....the first guy hit 3 points....very consistent delivery and landed about 10" from the wall.   The second guy (I didn&#x27;t know he threw the same way) ended up hitting the fire bet....which I didn&#x27;t bet on (that would have made my trip)....at that point I was convinced it does work.    It was proven again this past week in New Orleans.....my wife threw randomly...rolled 4 times and 7out.   My brother in law threw randomly 5 times and 7 out.     I set the dice up (rolled from the longest distance - spots were taken)  had  a very long roll.....hit a few hardways......did not get the point of 4.....but the roll it self was awesome.....and compared to the wife and brotherinlaw....I rolled 16 times.....the dice are always squared up.....but I change the top number after every two rolls....for example....i&#x27;ll start with 2/2...roll that twice then 3/3.....roll that twice....and so forth.   I still need to work on the throwing technique.....but I do believe in dice control vice just randomly throwing.

Thanks buddah and yeah like i mentioned before when i played with my pals and i was the only one with big time success. I mean it&#x27;s very possible since they say you need to spend a lot of time mastering the throw, that my dice toss isnt that great yet. I also read that sometimes no matter how well you throw the dice, you are going to have losing sessions. I&#x27;m going to continue working on the craft everytime i go because even if it does nothing, i like to take my time and have a nice looking throw instead of just whipping them like an animal.

Funny enough thats actually all i remember throwing. Never the 6-8, a lot of 2,12, and 4s before i crapped out. Rolls lasted around 4 throws each before sevening out

30 plus years of craps. Longest rolls I have seen where by people setting dice. Lake Tahoe 2010 at Harah's I got to enjoy a 95 minute shooter ! Nothing but fun. I do not handle dice, but always enjoy seeing someone that is VERY CONSISTENT in there dice setting before they throw em.

All the people I have seen doing the best stood beside the stickman ? Not sure of table position, but that is where I have seen the best rollers.

The best book for betting progression I have seen is "The Dice Doctor" by old time dealer.

i always shoot next to the dealer and press my bets to a degree, At a $25 table i bet the 6/8 for $30 and increase at this rate: 30-42-60-90-150- 270 After 270 im happy lol

I enjoy the same progression. Basically 50% press while on winning roll. Then start over with new shooter.

That first win that has 4 zeros in the payoff is staggering, it happens so fast ! Takes guts to keep pressing when the time is right. 50% press lets you enjoy nice profit and allows moving forward for large score. Have only walked with over $10K 7 times in 30 years. Started small but got to finish large & fast.

I have been playing craps for years. A true believer in setting the dice. Has anyone noticed a difference in new dice, or sharp dice, vs dice are not sharp to the touch. I find the sharp dice seems to throw more crap numbers than 6 and 8&#x27;s.

My preferred way to shoot dice is to only establish a smooth arm and body rhythm while throwing....Exactly the same fluid and firm arm motion each throw.

I do not set the dice as I feel it is not beneficial to me. Others that set the dice I have no problem with that...To each their own.

Last week had a really nice roll going, my shooting hand started to get clammy however and I could not rotate the dice proplerly in my hand on the particular throw I was ready for. My rhythm got all off balance as the dice left my hand and I knew I had a bad throw.

Sometimes you can barely escape the seven out with a bad roll, but not this time...seven out...Still won $400...Was looking for a lot more...

Next time I go to the craps table I am going to take along some powder...Kinda like when you see bowlers and billiards players powder up their hands before they do what they do.

The casinos used to give out free cigarettes..Would it be so hard to have a small container of cheap baby powder on hand for idiots like me?

I think a container of baby powder, as silly as it is, would draw suspicion. Ive been on my way out of atlantic city and they wouldnt let me play with my back pack on. Really depends on the people working and pit boss. Some could be real pains, while others are the nicest people youll meet on your trip. I do agree rhythm is very key to a great roll. I cant tell you how frustrated i get when in the middle of my roll someone throws down money.

&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;I am really going to take some powder next time I go to the casino( next week)...I will put it in a small container such as an old pill container you get when you fill a prescription. They will not see me when I reach in my pocket and take a little of it out and put it on my hands if I need it.&#xD;&#xA;You say it upsets you when someone buys in during your roll..Only natural that you feel that way, however, look at it this way..Everybody needs to buy in, or rebuy at some point. How about when YOU buy in? Not unless you have the extreme patience to wait until the shooter makes his point before buying in. Most people want to get into the game right away and not wait and just watch for 10 minutes for the shooter to make his point, or, seven out.
