kratture - You are absolutely right about the NHL game yesterday night. After all the fuck ups during the game, it was no surprise that they blew another call late as the 3rd period ended.

With about 20 seconds to go and Price on the bench for the extra skater, the Habs had 7 guys on the ice all across the Colorado blue line. WTF. How does the other ref at the other side of the ice not see that. Can he count?

And talk about shitty hockey teams, how do the Habs not score with 7 guys working the puck. And if they did, the goal would have been overturned because the refs missed 7 red jerseys on the ice. Embarassing to say the least.

The strategy for Round 2 will not be just picking one side and playing the ML throughout. I expect these games to be tight, and the road teams to want to make a statement early. Games should be close. By taking the +1.5 RL on both dogs, I not only have a good chance of an outright upset in either game, but also have some insurance if they fall in the end.
There will be no set goal for Units this Round. RL Dogs will be the starting point, with reassessment done after each game. For now, there will be no Totals play.

I actually hope the slop continues. If the Phils get rained out tomorrow, my buddy who has tix will not be able to go Monday, and i'll be in his seat. Go rain.

Not a chance.. I let everyone else opinions, so called "experts", sway me into thinking the Angels had a chance in this series.. The Yankees were my All-Star Break World Series pick and it remains so.

This Yankee team is the loosest team I have ever seen, they seem like a bunch of kids having a blast out there. Been looking like that for months now. No one can stop this team. The plan was originally to take the Yankees ML every game, but I messed it up with the Game1 play. I'm sure the Angels will win a game, or maybe 2, but the play from here on out will be Yankees ML.

I Parley the Gold, Silver, & Bronze pick. Tonight I wagered 1 Unit on it. The top plays went 3-0 tonight and paid 3.45 Units (+2.45).

This was the 1st Week of the season for my NHL Saturday Night Fight Night Strategy. Altercations will be made week-to-week and additional plays selected as a stronger "read" becomes available on teams.

Play Selections are based purely on Situational Analysis which include Goaltender Match-up, Travel Schedule, Strength of Home/Road splits, Recent History, etc.
Basically just good 'ol fashioned pen & paper handicapping.

The Round Robin I had selected tonight for 7 teams went 6-1. I decided not to play it tho.. in hindsight, I should have!


The NHL season is still very young.. a lot left to analysis before setting up camp in front of the net. For now, it is best to shoot from the blueline.

8-3 on the NFL so far today, ML & ATS, with 1 game to go.. yet it is a hugely disappointing day..

Early games would have been considered a success if Baltimore had made that game-winning kick..

Late games would have been considered a success with simply an Eagles win, which they couldn't even do.

Week 6 is usually a correction week.. but absolutely no one saw the Eagles losing outright. Seems like something fishy went on there, 11 carries and 46 passes??!? Double-digit favs were perfect on the season up to this point, I guess something had to give.. but it shouldn't have been this game.

Disheartened by today's action, even tho I'm only down about $50.

Hopefully my Dodgers can make me smile tonight.

9-4 straight up .. 9-4 against the spread.

Very good day considering all the surprises.

Highlights were the Houston and Kansas City upsets, fairly easy calls I thought. Lowlights were Baltimore's last second missed field goal and the Oakland outright major upset.

San Diego is the lone play remaining for Monday Night. It's time Denver is brought back into reality. They are not that good..

If you would have bet all these games on the money line and straight for $100 you would have lost $20. That Eagles game hurt big time -980ML.

What a Sunday. Once again, the game that looked to easy to lose, lost (eagles).
 
We had the Ealges losing to the Raiders when looking at the schedule to start the season. One of those games where you can't explain it other than its a west coast trip. Frustrating as a fan and bettor.
 
Had the Phils again last nite. After winning game 1, I decided to take the Phils every night assuming they will win the series. Fortunately, I reduced my units on game 2 when they lost. Took them on the RL last night to reduce juice.
 
Tonight, is gonna be really interesting. This game is the momentum game.
 
GL with your chase. I haven't touched the NYY LAA series yet, but might start chasing the yanks for 1 win from here, as everyone is thinking the LAA are due for a win. I say they can easily get swept.

Uhg............. with the birds ML - so mad
Took a huge bite out of my BR
Should of maybe hedged it with a 2H Oak ML play
Didn't trust the spread
In hindsight they deserved it and so did I for following them off the cliff
If only I fell back and didn't play any 4pm'ers
They have been winning of late by smoke and mirrors
Penalties, no run game, blitzing too much, playing crappy teams soft, you name it
TB left points out on the field and Phi could of easily lost that too lat week

Here in Philly its like hearing nails on a chalk board on sports radio and the Andy Ried new conference
At least the Phillies scored more than the Eagles quelling some anger.

I love Josh McDaniels.. best coach in the NFL

But I still hate this Broncos team for some reason!!

Haven't been able to buy into them yet, still don't believe they are that good.. but 6-0 now with wins over Dallas, New England, and now a road win in San Diego.. makes ya shake your head and shrug your shoulders.
