I've been promising to post my work for awhile now, but I am a very picky person when it comes to my own work and was not satisfied with what I had so far. I feel my spreadsheets are as complete and in-depth as I want them to be at this time, and therefore am willing to start posting my efforts here in an attempt to easily have one place where I can document my results.

As I am just a "prospect" here on Covers and new to the Professional Sports Handicapper's World, I don't expect any sort of following here whatsoever. Rather, my attempt is to post my work, continue to document, analyze, listen to comments, and improve my skills. Altho I possess great math skills, I certainly do not possess the talent to "show" my work, so to speak. Like in school, I always had a talent at looking at numbers and equations and figuring out the answer in my head, but lacked the ability to translate to paper how I "achieved" the result.  Therefore, you will not find here long equations or mathematical reasoning in print, but be assured it plays a part in "my" plays.

I admire the thread ongoing by sports_Network and love reading it daily, even hourly, and encourage everyone who is trying to make a "business" out of this take an in-depth look at his documentation. It truly is the "right" way of doing this. For those who have jumped on-board there and are doing the calculations themselves now, congrats, I admire your dedication and "ability" to put those numbers down on paper. I, simply, apply a lot of the same measures in a different way. I read a ton about the games I choose and look at a lot of numbers, yet I solve my equations in my head. Paperwork is just not my thing.

I have been doing this since the 1st of May, when at that time I had been laid-off from my job in a management position for an electronics store. It was a surprising store-wide closeout, and it left a very bitter taste in my mouth about how it went down, still to today. I have dabbled in Sports "Gambling" over the past decade with messy results, never sustaining any real results. I have always wished I had more time to study the plays, and, well, now I do!

With a now greater understanding of how things "work", and with proper applied application, this is no longer considered "gambling" to me. To me, this is my Job, my Career, my Dream. As with any job, Dedication, Hard Work, Time and Effort, and an Understanding of Concept with what I am working with, can not - and will not - lead to anything but Achievement and Success.

I am giving myself one year to make this work. If anyone can do this, I know I can. This will now be my thread which I will update daily to the best of my ability. I welcome comments, questions, observations, critique and support. I believe we are all here to learn from each other and help each other advance to the "next" level, again and again. There is no "Top" to reach, just continued Heights.

I will not, however, entertain asinine comments like I see in other threads. Read the thread from the beginning, you will most likely find your answer.

I am currently running 4 "Systems" at this time, as well as Spot Plays. Two of these were created by myself, and two I have adopted from here. You will notice on the spreadsheets I have given credit to these people for creating that system, and I would like to thank them for coming up with them. So, Thank You tomspeople and prof8t.
All of these Systems started out in their pure form, I played them as they were laid out with no waver of their rules. Over the past 2+ months, I have used my increased knowledge to adapt these Systems and use them more as a "guideline" to assist in coming up with "good" plays. By using this "Risk Assessment" I hope to cut back on any losses. I have also started using Unit Management and am applying it's form in my plays. Thank You as well to sports_Network for introducing it's concept to me and how important it really is to increasing one's Bankroll. Bankroll, and Unit Management, are the most important things in surviving this Business. I am still learning this, as you will see in my spreadsheets, poor Unit and Bankroll Management led to a very ugly week leading into the MLB All-Star break, after a record plus the week prior.
I started this with a mere $500, extremely small compared to a recommended starting bankroll, and my Unit Size was $25. I follow mostly a "Chase" style of play for these Systems, so for such a small starting bankroll $25 was a "gutsy" call. I believed in what I was doing tho, and in the Systems I chose to follow at that point.
For those who say "Chase" style systems do not work and will not work.. To you I say, "Watch Me".. Those who have failed clearly did not understand what they were really doing and obviously learned nothing from past failure. I expect to have failures, and I will expect myself to have the ability to learn from them. Understand, Assess, and Solve. Moving on..

These spreadsheets are chalk full of commentary, mostly daily as it happens. To anyone who is bored silly, or justs wants to read a good "diary" so to speak of a "beginning" capper's daily ups and downs, I think you may find it a good read. I find myself often going back and re-reading past comments in an attempt to learn from past mistakes. Maybe you will find something useful in the pages. To most tho, I expect it will be skipped. Just understand so, that sometimes the commentary for today, is in reference to something which happened a few weeks ago.

Man.. looking up I see I have certainly wrote a lot here.. I tend to do that a lot as well, haha. Let's get to the spreadsheets..

Click on the Red Title to access each spreadsheet. From there, there are tabs at the Top Left of the screen which you can click on to access the Master Files, as well as each individual month.

    KREATTURE'S PLAYBOOK

    RUNLINE BLITZ
This System is adopted from prof8t here at Covers. It has been adapted to fit my style, and has been nothing short of spectacular. It has been perfect thus far and a keystone to my early success.

    HFOUDL
This System is adopted from tomspeople here at Covers. I only play the chase with this system and not the individual games. It was sailing smoothly until mid June when a series of losses left it in the red for me. I have taken precautions with this system since and made up for these losses. I have just climbed back into the black with this and look forward to continued success with this. The application of Unit Management is essential to this system I believe and should be looked at by anyone using this system.

    TOP 5 HOME TEAM
This was the 1st System I created myself. I came up with the general idea and applied filters as I saw fit. It has been outstanding at 33-1 and is hitting on 61% for each game individually. However, if you go through the month of July, you'll notice I deviated a bit from the way I was running this and applied some very poor Unit Management. That combined with the limitations placed by my Sportsbook (I need to find a new Sportsbook btw), I am having a disastrous month here. I am 7-0 on the Chase this month and 7-5 straight up, yet have managed to go from a +27 Units to a -8 Overall. It's shocking and amazing.. if you read the notes you'll see.

    FADING WASHINGTON NATIONALS
This was the 2nd System I created. I had been playing a few Spot Plays against Washington the month of May with great success. Once I realized this really was going to be a very long year for this team I decided there was a lot of money to be had here. It has been my most successful play this season and is perfect in both the Chase and Individual Games, hitting a clip of +42 Units thus far.

On a daily basis, I will hope to post not only the links to each System, but will also include that day's plays in this thread, as I know not everyone will want to click on the Spreadsheets. If you use Google Spreadsheets, just log into your account and then open them. They will then be saved with the Spreadsheets you all ready have on there, which will enable you quick daily access if you choose.
In addition to what I will be playing in the "System Plays", I will also post my spot plays for the day. I do not have a record of Individual Spot Plays on any of my spreadsheets, but they are included in the Overall Numbers which you will find on the 1st Tab named "UNITS" on each sheet. Spot Plays can include anything from a baseball game, to a tennis match-up, to a Golf Future. When I first started this back in May, I took quite a hit from these as I still played a lot of parleys.. something which I have learned should rarely be played! Spot Plays have been much better lately and I hope to continue with success here.

I hope the above links work properly.. I have never posted links here before or dealt with Google Spreadsheets. If they messed up I will re-post.

I think if the labourchere line outlined by psic  https://platinumsportsinvesting.com/labourchere.aspx  was used on the systems above that there would have been a positive money flow all the way through as opposed to going in the negative balance and having to make it up later.  Just something too think about,

I wish you the best of luck on what ever your betting method you choose.

    Very Well put Kreatture!

I too have been following these systems and it will be nice to
be able to go to one thread to get the plays.
Appreciate yours and all the other peeps on here that have the
ability to work out these systems and best of post them for
    everyone to profit from.
    Thank you all very much!!!

There are a couple of other guys on here that have some pretty
good systems that I think they do well at, and they are Martin &
Marion. Didn't know if you checked theirs. But also there was a
guy that had a 1st 5 inning system that did pretty well but I haven't
seen him post in a while and in going back thru previous posts
    I could not find him.
But I lean toward 1st 5's myself as all too many times, bullpens
blow you out of the water. Like today, Lincecum (SF) has been
$$$$$$ all year and also Carpenter (STL).

Just food for thought, as I know these systems will keep you busy!!

Will be looking forward to your posts!!!

Thanks for the link JV, I will look more into this. I had briefly looked at this method in the beginning and had decided I did not like it. Now with a couple of months under my belt, I will re-visit and evaluate.
I am going to be starting another new system next week, maybe it will work well in that.

    Cheers

Thank You BN727, just remember, I am no longer playing the RunLine Blitz and HFOUDL Systems the way they still are. I have modified the RL System and am not playing every play generated by the hfoudl system. Altho, on that page, I will still be listing ALL the generated plays, and hand-selecting from that.

I don't believe that all generated plays by a system should be played, but rather used to assist in creating "leans" on solid plays.

    ST.LOUIS CARDINALS

    SPOT PLAYS

These will be spot series this weekend where I will play a 3-Game Chase to win 1 Unit on each. The juice is very high, yes, which is why the play is only for 1 Unit. Both these teams will win at least 1 game this weekend.

    NEW YORK YANKEES ML
    ST. LOUIS CARDINALS ML

The Units posted on the spreadsheets should be played differently by each individual. The Units I am playing for is what fits my Unit Management Strategy and Bankroll Management Plan. Do not ask questions as to how many Units you should play these selections, for the answer is different with each Individual. Use your own Bankroll Management to determine what is best for you.

Notice you have some CFL for today. Are those based on a system for football? Just wondering as I was hoping you might have something for the NFL??

    Keep up the good work!!

No, the CFL plays were not part of a System. My spot plays will never be a part of a System, but rather are just games which I feel either offer great value, or I believe are a great play.

I have always hated the joke league up here, but cleaned up in Week 1 going 6-1 on sides and totals so thought maybe it would be different this year. Went 0-2 last week, losing big on BC Lions when the biggest upset in 5 years happened, and 0-2 this week. Ironically, I was 2-0 on my totals today, which I did not post. They are posted tho under the League Champions Contest Page here at Covers. They will not be counted here.

On my other spot play for today, Ross Fisher had a solid day on the links and is tied for 2nd going into the final round tomorrow

If I am not broke by September, then yes, I plan on being around here for a very long time..

If Texas continues to lose this game, and the Dodgers don't find a way to win tonight, I am in serious trouble..

I had a very bad week leading up to the All-Star break. Took the break off and thought I had corrected my problems. It doesn't look like I have tho, my Unit Management situation is in the tank right now and it is costing me big-time..

I'm not watchin the rest of the games tonight, drinkin some beer and playin some Tiger Woods on the PS3..

    See you all tomorrow

Congrats on LAD. I was on them for the RL system, too. I was watching the game and sweated a bit at the end when Brox loaded the bases.

Great job by my boy Clayton Kershaw last night, that's why he's on my Fantasy Team!! Unfortunately Texas looked really bad again. I've updated the spreadsheets with how I am dealing with this. As of right now, there will be no play on the Texas Rangers tonight. If it changes I will update here. Nothing on the baseball board today, not even a RunLine Game. Had a couple of leans but nothing strong enough to merit a wager. Sunday is usually Golf and Tennis day, so focus is on The British Open Final Round as we speak. I love to do Live Betting, so the next few hours will be doing that.

    KREATTURE'S PLAYBOOK - JULY 19TH, 2009

    RUNLINE BLITZ

NO PLAY (as of right now)

    HFOUDL

NO PLAY (as of right now)

    TOP 5 HOME TEAM

    NO PLAYS

    FADING WASHINGTON NATIONALS

    NO PLAY

    SPOT PLAYS

Mostly British Open today. If you can do Live Betting in your book, it's a great way to make some extra Units.

Still have Ross Fisher (+200) to place Top 3 today. I will be placing wagers on others as value presents itself.

    Live Betting
    To Win
    Tom Watson (-4, 1st)  +700
    Mathew Goggin (-3, 2nd) +1200

Damn Fisher sure tanked it with that quad bogey there, LoL

What a crazy final round, no one wanted to take control.
Almost had the big value win with Chris Wood at +6600, finished 1 shot back, that would have been sweet!

Been placing a few bets over the round, here's what's left going into the 4-Hole Playoff..

    Tom Watson $15 +700
    Tom Watson $10 +1100
    Stewart Cink $25 +900
    Stewart Cink $10 +700

Hoping Cink wins since I would finish +$140, whereas if Watson wins I will be +$50.

    Odds going into Playoff are..

    Watson +110
    Cink  -167

It's 4 holes accumulative score, so we'll see how it goes, might slam someone for some more yet.

Feel asleep during the 2nd Playoff Hole, LoL, so never got anymore bets in. But I'll take the +$140 win by Stewart Cink.

With a good morning/afternoon of Golf, I definitely won't be forcing any baseball tonight, since the Rangers game just looks like garbage (watch em win now, oh well).

I've been up for over 25 straight hours now, so I'm going to take a very long sleep.. Be back tomorrow for a brand new week!

Click on the Red Title to access each spreadsheet. From there, there are tabs at the Top Left of the screen which you can click on to access the Master Files, as well as each individual month.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking forward to the beginning of a new week. Last week was a losing week for me, even tho all Systems were perfect. I've sorted out my Unit management problems and gone back to what was giving me success for the first 9 weeks of doing this. Further explanation can be found on all Page's (spreadsheet).

I'm introducing a new System this week, something which I have been monitoring this season and am ready to start tracking. I will be playing Top Teams and Fading Bad Teams. It is very similar to the Fade Bad Team System which prof8t is doing, but different. I don't have a spreadsheet done up for this yet, but I will. Basically this System will run on a week-to-week basis, where I will play particular teams from Monday-Sunday, on the Chase. I will be calling this System "Take From Poor, Give To Rich"

I have decided my criteria to start this will be that a team must be 15 games +/- .500 for me to use them. I will be using records based on each Monday mornings Overall Standings. I will play for/against these teams to lose 1 game a week, starting each Monday. I have thought about doing this for each team to win/lose 2 games each week as well, and may go with that. I've spent more time than usual on my Systems today, so running out of time for right now, but wanted to get the picks posted before game time.
Washington is obviously going to be a play against team each week, which will conflict with my Fading Washington Nationals System a bit.. I will decide on how to handle that later. By my calculations, there is a very minute chance a top team will lose every game for 1 week, or a bad team will win every game for 1 week.

Here's to a great winning week

    KREATTURE'S PLAYBOOK - JULY 20TH, 2009

    RUNLINE BLITZ

    PITTSBURGH PIRATES +180  (game1)

    HFOUDL

    HOUSTON ASTROS  (game1 of 3)
    PITTSBURGH PIRATES  (game1 of 3)

There are 2 other plays which qualify, which you will find on the spreadsheet with explanations as to why I will not be playing them this week. These plays do qualify, despite current odds. Remember, this System goes by Opening Lines, not Current or Closing.

    TOP 5 HOME TEAM

LOS ANGELES DODGERS (game1 of 3)

    FADING WASHINGTON NATIONALS

    NO PLAY

TAKE FROM POOR, GIVE TO RICH

    new york mets   (POOR WASHINGTON)
    day off   (POOR CLEVELAND)
    florida   (POOR SAN DIEGO)
    la angels   (POOR KANSAS CITY)

    RICH LA DODGERS   (vs. cincinnati)
    RICH BOSTON   (vs. texas)
    RICH NY YANKEES   (vs. baltimore)

Remember, I am betting the POOR teams to lose, and the RICH teams to win. After a bet wins for/against that team, the Chase is cleared for the week and they come off the board.

    SPOT PLAYS

Due to the introduction of the new System, there will be no Spot Plays for tonight. This is likely to be the case the beginning of each week, until most of the games are cleared.
