    20-19 (51.3%) +$654.05

I know I said I wasn't going to make any picks today but I'm shitfaced and feeling some CFL love on Canada Day! Take the Montreal Alouettes ML [-146] $50 to win 34.25 and the U53.5 [-103] $25 to win 24.25 plus add in Toronto/Calgary U47.5 [-111] $50 to win 45.05.

I can only post totals when series are complete. Its roughly $650 to $40 right now.  Ive had the misfortune(or fortune) of winning a bunch of Level 1 plays lately which are minimal amounts.  I still would be way behind anyway though.

Actually, NO! I would love to see both of you prosper.  I just saw a urinating contest at first.  I Kind of like the fact you two are being cordial.

My take is that DJ will make slow progress and Eagle will win in bunches.  Who will win 1st? IDK?  BOL fellas. The world is watching.

A good capper NEVER has this many bets on a given day.. this loses some credibility with me.. but oh well.. what do I know....
    __________________________________________

Actually.. (I come back to write this after I have all ready written the rest of this post) DJ said he is an Action junkie and has to have action on a lot of games.. while this is the typical attitude of most gamblers, I'm disappointed DJ falls into this category. He's all ready said MULTIPLE times, that the big money plays are winners, while the action junkie plays are losers. So.. come on DJ.. just give us the Winners.. an fuck the junkie plays. I challenge you, to that.
    _______________________________

At this rate tho, with DJ playing $50, $100, and $200 Unit games.. even if he only goes like 50%, he'll absolutely DESTROY Supereagle while he plays for his $10 Units..

Therefore.. this makes this "contest" completely unfair.. Eagle should be able to play similar Unit sizes, or DJ should be restricted to smaller maximum wagers.. way smaller than $700.. altho I have to give credit, once again, to DJ for his discipline of not having a huge play, thus far. I think his Dodgers play tonight is his largest play, yet?

Either way.. This WILL be a bloodbath by the end, and DJ will roll.. however, this does NOT mean his style is best.. it just means it's better than Eagles.. That doesn't mean Eagle's is bad. There's many ways to skin a calf....

That being said.. it looks like Eagle is going on a level 4 or 5 play, I think?? That is the only way Eagle has a chance of winning this contest.. by losing 5 or 6 in a row, then hitting the 6th or 7th wager for a big grand martingale win.. multiple times.... the grand martingale fucking sucks by the way.. ride it while it's hot, but like DJ said (reluctantly agree, considering my own approach to Martingale).. it's destined to fail, and will bankrupt you in the end. Bottom Line. Period. Enough Said.

Eagle I know you'll be mad at this, considering I Pm'ed you about DJ's philosophy.. but in the end, this style in shit. The argument you do have, however, is that DJ clearly relates his Martingale experience to Roulette (it's clearly obvious this way because he doesn't even change the word "spins" from his copy an paste efforts..) So this clearly exemplifies that DJ has no CURRENT understanding of the Martingale System. It's OK.. neither do 90% of the general population. While Martingale is a "destined to fail" System for ROULETTE.. people don't seem to realize the benefit of this money management when you have an edge over the house.  And having a proven System GIVES YOU AN EDGE OVER THE HOUSE. I think DJ will agree (actually I think he all ready has, previously) that a Martingale System will prosper, if you have an edge over the house. However, rarely will you ever see such a case.. Therefore I give DJ credit on his analysis.. altho not in MY particular case.... I continue (and will continue), to prove that a MODIFIED MARTINGALE can be a successful Money Management System when you know what you're doing. Sports Investing is in no way, shape or form, similar to roulette.. if you are a successful handicapper, you often have an edge over the house. Therefore, comparing a Martingale System between Roulette, and Sports Investing, is really - to be blunt - stupid.

Like I said before.. it sucks cheering for a System to lose 4 or 5 in a row, before hitting a big win.

Someone bit off more than they can chew.. just to try and prove a point.. an it is gonna come back to bite them in the ass, in the end. But who really cares.. it's not like this "contest" is for anything other than bragging rights..

I would be more interested in this if there was actually something on the line..

Where the fuck is sportsbath when you need him.. He called me out.. I think we could have a much more interesting contest....

If you're out there, sportsbath buddy, create another account and pm me.. well do it up right ;)

    Mmm.. cereal is good.

A good capper NEVER has this many bets on a given day.. this loses some credibility with me.. but oh well.. what do I know....

I'd have to agree with most of your post... you're spot on. But let me answer a few things:

    1. Just because these are my 'action' plays does not mean they are any less credible. Gambling is my biggest hobby and I spend a lot of time capping trying to find my 'big unit' plays... During the course of this, I stumble along plays that are good, they just aren't great. These are my action plays -- they are not less handicapped by any means and I stand behind my picks 100%.

    2. The reason the limit is $700 a play, is because at some point, supereagle may need to bet that much in his chase... so why can't I? Seems pretty fair to me.

    3. I agree with the argument that if you have +EV, then a martingale can work... but if you have +EV then you don't need a martingale, you can make your money betting straight. If you don't have +EV, then you most certainly CAN compare capping to roulette...

    4. My 'big unit' plays are so far and few between that it would be so boring to track only those... and I seem to always lose anytime I post the big wagers (like I did last night with 2.5k on the Dodgers)... I swear it's a posting curse lol. Most people don't believe me anytime I post a big unit play anyways and others will bash so it's not even worth it. I like to keep these plays to myself and avoid letting my friends (or covers posters) persuade me off of it -- I don't need to impress anybody.

    26-29 (47.3%) +$420.9

-203.2 on the day... My biggest wager for this system loses which could have turned this losing night of $200 into a winning night of $200 if Kuroda would have brought his testicles to the game. Other than that, the bigger unit plays faired better once again which leaves my record looking a little wonky. On to better days and more profit!

    Dodgers [-147] $147 to win 100
    Rockies -1.5 [+111] $100 to win 111
    Rays/Twins O8.5 [-109] $50 to win 45.85
    Phillies/Pirates O8.5 [+103] $10 to win 10.3
    Pirates [+103] $10 to win 10.3

    Parlay Special:
    BoSox -1.5, Cards -1.5 [+260] $25 to win 65

Betting 50% of the bankroll on one play means you should have at least a 25% edge according to Kelly (assuming even odds at 10 cent vig)... I don't believe you're getting a 25% edge EVER... Nice try.

You have to admit, that was funny.lol  I really do think I have a little +EV.  If my Level 6 play misses, Ive got some huge +EV tonight that I am going to make a dual series play. Its in MMA.  How do you like me now?!

I agree with Kreature that the contest is unfair because one contestant is outspending the other.  One mathematical solution to even the playing field is to calculate rate of return on investment based on the following formula.

ROI equals net profit (or loss) divided by total stakes.

When stakes are low, the irony is that Martingale is closer to flat betting than Kelly criterion.

I'm not outspending him at all... Just wait until he gets to a level 7 play and he's betting like $850 bucks on ONE play. With a bankroll of $1600, Kelly would NEVER advise to put 50% of your roll on one play...unless you had a 25% edge which no one ever has.

I'm down to use ROI as an indicator but it would mean changing my style to grab as many dollars per win... instead of simply racing to $5000.

PS. For all of you saying supereagle is disadvantaged, I KNOW. That's why I accepted HIS challenge. It was his idea, not mine -- he laid the rules; I'm simply playing by them. Anyways, +$114.25 on the day brings us to:

    33-35 (48.5%) +$556.3

    Rangers -1.5 [-120] $120 to win 100
    Tigers -1.5 [-117] $117 to win 100
    Angels/White Sox U9.5 [+100] $100 to win 100
    Royals [+137] $75 to win 102.75
    Astros [-120] $75 to win 62.5
    Giants [-122] $50 to win 41
    Twins [+107] $50 to win 53.5
    Padres [-106] $50 to win 47.15

+$235.7 yesterday while missing a bunch of close games. Also, I'm finally up over the 50% mark, but still up lots of units. This means my money management has been good so far. On to today:
