Irage - If you bet game A at for $100 at 1.71 and it loses you are $100 down.
If you bet game B for $200 at 1.71 and this loses you are $300 down.
So if a series goes to Game C you would bet $300 at odds of 1.71, you would only win back $514 including the stake, ($514 less $300, less $200 and less $100) gives a lose of $86.
Have a missed out something here or is that right if you go to Game C and win you walk away with a lose...??
I'm using decimal odds.
thanks

You are absolutely correct. I've seen cases just like this. A little inside information. Look at how many games went to C, only a few ever reach that C game. Never the less I have lost money on B games because the juice was so high. There are several ways to deal with this. You can take some side bets, for me I too some RL's, I also took some O/U's. You also don't have to bet on every series to make money. The majority of A games won and you will come out ahead even if you bet the C games. Don't get caught up in the lines in the end there are enough good bets to make money. The lines get really bad at the end of the season, that's why I quit about mid August. I will be keeping detailed records of the lines this year.

Servo,
The first spreadsheet I posted did nto have macros - it did have "updated dates" as placeholders - but it was just today's date and it updated the date and time when you opened the spreadsheet. It really didn't update the data (ie RPI data and Standings data)
The latest spreadhseet has the MACROs and when you run them it updates the data AND the date and time.
Now - i'm not an IT guru or anything, but from my understanding MACROs written in excel will not work in Open Office. Sorry buddy - wish I could do something about it. My suggestion would be to use Excel 2007 to view the spreadsheet. It should work with no issues in excel.

What do you guys think about the Angels today as underdogs vs. the Yankees??? I see no value in the Yankee line with Kuroda pitching. Any thoughts?

Not a fan of Atlanta, But I have to think they win their opener today! I tracked pitchers this past spring, looking at their 5th and 6th outings. I know Jurrjens struggled in the opener at New York, but his final 2 spring outings he worked 13 innings allowing 8 hits and 2 runs, striking out 11 and walking none. Last year he went 7 - 3 in 12 home starts with a 3,28 ERA. He also starts fast, last year in April 2-0 in 3 outings with a 1.23 ERA. Milwaukee has Braun and Ramirez, both slow to start. Randy Wolf, 5 - 12 career mark and a 5.28 ERA against Atlanta, Atlanta's Home opener, Jones in his last final opening day performance, and a cheap price, -130, I will roll with Atlanta.

A Game = 1000.00
B Game = 2000.00
C Game = 3000.00
The hard part with this style of betting is finding books that will take 2000.00 let alone a 3000.00 ML bet. So I have to use multiple books to make it happen.
Of course losing a C bet means that I would be losing 6000.00, thats a big chunk of cash. [/Quote]A Game = 1000.00
