To answer a few questions...
We have won 3 in a row before, twice I believe. Doesn't really matter since past results mean nothing on today's games.
I'm using a betting progression used by Tony Stoffo (recommend reading his ebook). Using an 8 game chase with set betting amounts takes a lot of the pressure off as far as I'm concerned. If we lose 8 in a row to start the year, we are down 74 units. If $10 a unit ($740 total) is too high then reduce the unit size to something you are comfortable with. All depends on your bankroll. If I lose $740, it will by no means wipe me out. Of course you can always walk away with a profit at any time. I see nothing wrong with taking money off the table, but this system has been very successful in the 2.5 years of posting with almost $3300 in profit. That profit includes a $740 loss.
For me this is fun and a way to make a few extra dollars that I can spend on vacations. Bet what you can afford and don't be greedy or reckless.
