What's your criteria when choosing a game to make your picks, brother?
Thanks in advance
Thanks. Basically, it's a modified parlay style of betting. But sometimes I only like one game on one particular day. Also, I matchup a hot team against either a team that is just down or not really scoring lately, or on its third game in four days that is a worse team on paper against the team I am backing.
What I usually do is print out the matchups for the day, and print out the NHL standings showing the streaks of each team. On the matchups I particularly look at the teams going on scoring droughts.
It's not perfect, but if I end up even for the season or just a bit less wins than losses, I am still going to be way ahead in terms of money won, because of the style of progressive betting after the first part of the two win streak betting strategy.
Also, the most important part is if you don't like any particular game, that is grabbing at you. Basically, if you are just betting because you think it's a good bet, don't pull the trigger. The matchup has to be "screaming" at me to take action.
The Montreal Friday game against Buffalo, and then the following day of Montreal against Toronto on Saturday was just basically "screaming" at me to take action. Montreal was going to tie the record for best NHL start and then win for the best start in NHL history. And both against really mediocre teams. I took the Puck Line against Buffalo, and Buffalo got destroyed in that game as Montreal scored a Touchdown with an extra point. And just took the Moneyline against Toronto in case Toronto gets a cheap last minute goal to come within one and lose and Montreal might have been tired playing their third game in four days. But they still easily handled Toronto in the 2nd period but let off on the effort on the 3rd period.
Basically, no forced play. Combination of mind and guts, the safe play and what does your gut say about the matchup.

For Tuesday's tail end of the bet, I'm leaning towards Dallas at home against an anemic Anaheim offense. I'll pull the trigger just before game time, unless something changes.

Thanks. Dallas adding three players from the Chicago Blackhawks championship team of last year has certainly yielded dividends this season. At the same time Anaheim's offense is still anemic. Anaheim has only scored a total of 6 goals in 8 games played. I'm definitely on Dallas on this game tonight.

It's 18:04 in the 3rd Period and Washington is leading Columbus 1-0. I am going with my gut feeling that they will hang on to win the game. And so I pulled the trigger early backing Montreal against Calgary thinking "the best team" in hockey this early in the season, doesn't lose all three games in their first road trip.
