Thinker, first I want to thank you for posting this great thread and sharing your great system. It has been very profitable for me with MLB and NHL.
I have a quick question for you. Without divulging any of your secrets related to your program, can you tell us if your program takes into account key injuries or player additions?
For example, your program liked Georgia on Saturday but did it know that Rainey was back for Florida? And Demps was now close to 100%?
Or when it picked the Jags Sunday did it know that Romo was going to be out?
Just curious. Thanks again. I look forward to your posts everyday!

vhunt: yes on romo, no to the others.. that was the short answer.
here is the update for tuesday nov 2
Beginning Balance on sept 5 2010: $1000
Current Balance on nov 2 2010: $1816
Power Ratings Program: 130-135
breakdown:
mlb: 75-75 (+$437)
nhl: 38-28 (+$534)
nba: 2-8 (-$41)
nfl: 13-20 (-$104)
cfb: 2-4 (-$10)
TOP plays: 17-18 ($0)
notes for tuesday.... 1 play (so far) Ottawa (+1.20) $35 to win $42. this play as well as the entire card will be posted later today... im busy this morning but have the rest of the day off..
It should be sad for all of us following the Program that baseball is over for about 5 months... Opening day march 28th (i think).. baseball ended a 2 month run at (75-75) for what i consider the worse time of the year for the Program... Nothing but good things for next season...
the combined (MLB/NHL) record is 113-103 and the combined record for (nfl/nba/cfb) is 17-32..... granted the sample size is small but i get a feel for where this is going..
the TOP plays, i dont think ive given enough time to... im dead even on those, so it hasnt cost me anything... ill continue to work on these...
ill post the entire card, no later than 4pm today and probably a lot sooner... ill list the nba plays, as i hope some of you are tracking them but im hesitant on whether to play any of them today or not..
i am going to play my TOP NBA Total today for $100.. i do not advise anyone to follow it but i will list it.... this is something that ive worked on for a little while.... as i told you, the Program offers some interesting side information... more on this later...

so far that is the only NHL play for this evening..
here are the 3 nba Program plays, im only monitoring tonight, so they wont be part of the posted record but you guys tracking, need to include them as part of the record
portland, philly and cleveland...
here are the 2 TOP plays that i am going with this evening....
Atl/Clev Under 191 (-1.10) $110 to win $100
Orl/NY Over 201 (-1.10) $110 to win $100
those selections were made with information contained within the Program, they will be included in the TOP plays part of record but i will offset them into a nba totals category... no advice on whether anyone should follow... at the moment im vouching for nothing but the Program's MLB and NHL selections, that may change over time.

what it looks like i have going is a very good Computer Program for selecting ML underdogs in baseball and hockey... Now those 2 things alone could probably carry us year round and meet the goals of this thread... However i continue the search (within reason) of trying to find 1 more weapon for our arsenal... it could be NBA totals... they are getting a look from me, starting tonight. we will continue to monitor (play for play) the nba and nfl dogs... at this i do not deem it proper for me to continue to risk real $$$ on them...
and i say all of this, when all that really matters is the Program earning 15% each and every month... the real goal is to be at $1521 on dec 1... we are currently at $1816....
any questions fire away, ill be back around 3:15 pm cst.....

I agree a third "weapon" would be nice, but not at the risk of losing our profits. Wose case scenario: we only have NHL to wager on until March when MLB starts again.
If we find something meanwhile, so be it. So far, it is obviously NOT the NFL or NBA though

have you ever looked at creating a program with spreads game or halftime bets? like nba and nfl where the odds are only -110? so a favorite can be picked also.
i was just thinking for example miami heat today they are -16, i think taking them at -8 for the half would probably be safer since usually at end of games of a blow out the starters rest and the -16 has a better chance to be covered.

NBA totals are something that ive done extensive work in the past on..... Much like the current Program that we use, this actually started a couple of years ago... It all came together late summer of this year, hopefully the NBA totals will show the same results.. I expect to have from 1-3 per day.... With the cancellation of the magic game tonight, we had only 1 total to qualify as a play tonight.
hopefully things start off on the right foot... "trial and error" testing usually cost alot of money, so you may want to monitor the results for a while, before jumping on board..

Hopefully someone is still keeping a running tally on all-things-NBA related. This way in a few weeks, we'll take a strong look at the outcomes and decide which should be put into the Power Ratings program for the run to $100k

im sure a couple of guys are keeping track... tonight it would be philly, portland and cleveland...
the more ive looked into the totals, the more im liking what i see... it would be great if the Totals picked up the nba and nfl and leave the underdogs for baseball and hockey...
im going to be playing all the totals for $100 over the next few days, so ill let you know how its going... ill post the results with the TOP plays for now but with a strong sign of success, i would not hesitate to move them within the Program..

Atl/Clev Under 191 (-1.10) $110 to win $100
i have done alot of work over the last 24hrs, going into the nba totals... i knew the Program was going to give me some info for nba and nfl totals.. im now going to see if its valuable...

Power Ratings Program: 130-135 (+$816)
TOP plays: 17-18 ($0)
tonights plays
266. ottawa (+1.20) $35 to win $42
thats the only Program play for tuesday night.

i have done alot of work over the last 24hrs, going into the nba totals... i knew the Program was going to give me some info for nba and nfl totals.. im now going to see if its valuable...
this little adventure, started out slow, then took off, then sputtered, then enjoyed a huge run at the beginning of hockey season... now we have sputtered again, especially with the start of the nba season...
however, the overall picture is quite good and i call this "paying dues"... i did not expect the books to just give me the 100k...
we are running quite a bit ahead of the goal... i have now gotten excited with the possibilities of adding totals to the mix... regardless of tonights outcome... tomorrows card looks huge and we will get some good results in a few days..
i would not be against adding the nba and possibly nfl totals to the program... the main reason being, our juice would stay in control..
i hope to have all the answers on Nov 8th.... ive set myself up a personal deadline.... lets see what happens over the next few days..

November 8th is only a few days away. I wouldn't mind waiting till mid Novemeber, or heck, even December 1st to start hitting the NBA.
Is there anyway to tell what the PRP "would have" picked in the past NFL weeks, as far as totals go? Maybe we could back test some data for the current season, and see what our record "would have" been, etc etc

Just my 2 cents:

i can tell you this, i know what the Program does and it wouldnt work for baseball or hockey with Totals... but basketball and football totals are different.... it has some intersting things to say about them...
smido: you monitor the nba and nfl as long as you like.... we need to see how these totals are going to go... i do know it liked the indy/jags game Under 51 but thats about as far as i looked....
i think the Totals have a decent shot of working.... im willing to bet $100 on each of them for a while... everyone else should probably monitor but i do have a good feeling about how things are shaping up...
quite possibly we are going to find... Moneylines for baseball and hockey..........and.............. Totals for football and basketball..... ive got a good hunch about what im seeing the last 24hrs....
in a week or so, we will have a good idea..
