Re: Coric...i figured hes too talented of a player to be giving such poor efforts as of late...this event is really the last chance for top 20 guys to jockey for better seeds heading into the open...better seed typically means better draw, better draw means better chance to get to week 2...getting all those points possible this week is very important to players like Coric...plus Opelka really shouldnt be favored at this stage of his career against a legit top 15 player.

Diego Schwartzman is entering Cincinnati Masters after a tough campaign at Montreal last week where he escaped a straight-set defeat against the struggling Marco Cecchinato in the first round and later failed against Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets in the second round.

Nevertheless, the Argentinian #2 Diego Schwartzman must be high on confidence at the moment as he made a solid start to the North American hardcourt swing by winning the title at Los Cabos — his first-ever title on a non-clay surface at all levels.

Diego Schwartzman will now look to avoid his third consecutive first-round exit from Cincinnati Masters as he couldn't register a win here during his previous appearances in 2017 and 2018 — lost to Karen Khachanov and Stan Wawrinka in three sets, respectively.

Laslo Djere's transition from clay to hardcourt was far from smooth as he went down in straight sets against the relatively inexperienced Christian Garin in the first round of Montreal Masters last week — his first outing in the North American hardcourt swing.

Cincinnati Masters debutant, Laslo Djere is enjoying his career-best season so far in 2019 by winning the title at Rio de Janeiro and posting three more semifinals on the main tour, but four of his six recent campaigns on tour ended without a win.

Laslo Djere has registered only one main draw win on hardcourt so far in 2019 (at Pune), and it would be difficult for him to stop the in-form Diego Schwartzman in Cincinnati this Tuesday.

I'm holding off on Isner right now. I wanna pull the trigger but his fitness hasn't been great and he just had a daughter a few months ago... is he as focused on tennis as he used to be? I don't think so. 

One thing that helps is he's playing in his own backyard.
