Goffin has looked great this week, hes a legit top 10 player and couldve been a top 5 in any era without the the big 3...his career got derailed when he was hit in the eye by a fluke vs Dimitrov a few years ago and hes really never been the same since mentally...but purely from a talent pov, hes still got that top 10 swagger and attirude when hes playing well...this week hes flown under the radar completely while a few wise bettors have been raking on him all week long...yes im down, but not desperate - my betting patterns and style rarely change, here im obviously pressing on my units because i am stubborn and not willing to miss out on a betting opportunity as i clearly see this line completely scewed towards the obvious hot guy this summer in Medvedev...plus his win vs Djoker in my opinion was nice, but to the trained eye, he really was down and out at 3-6, 3-3 serving 0-30...all the signs and momentum were pointing to Djoker breaking at that time and a 63 64 final "should" have been the result - however Med served 4 unreturnables in a row and the match completely flipped as Djoker was steaming inside...for whatever reason, Novak "tanked" the rest of the match and in my humble opinion decided he wanted to get out of Cincinnati last night and take advantage of an extra day off to mentally and physcially prep for the USO...this match in the end meant everything to Med, and big picture very little to Djoker...i got sucked into betting this one and i stand behind my cap, Djoker was enroute to a 63 64 match exactly how i capped it, but in tennis as we all know, a wager is only complete once they shake hands, anything can happen in individual sports.
I love fading public in finals when everyone is talking about one guy and ignoring the opponent...Goffin is also playing well, this would be a huge career boost for him with a win here as he will regain alot of points and spike his ranking back up...higher ranking means better seeds and more favorable draws...so heading into the USO, this match means more to Goffin as it does to Med with respect to overall seeding for USO...Med is almost assured a top 8 seed, so QFs is his main objective...but Goffin's seeding will vastly improve come tomorrows new rankings if he wins here.
Im a regualr guy who is transparent here on covers to a fault...i cant recall my last losing week overall, its been well over 6 months now that i can tell you...if i lose all these wagers today, i will still be ok and move on to the next slam as the next betting opportunity.
The shiit events this upcoming week wont interest me at all...if i need some action i will cap a few random matches that jump off the page, but for the most part, next week will be a mental break from the upcoming daily grind of the next major.
