2* Stephens -152 (WTA) Nice swing of form for Stephens lately, with two semifinal appearances sandwiched with a round of 16 showing at the French and the majority of her losses this year coming against top quality opposition. Still a big believer in her game and this could be the start of a ranking surge for the American. Strycova with a quaterfinals appearance to defend here but has been too inconsistent with her play for me to back her in this one.
2* Bencic -151 (WTA) Very real possibility of a letdown here for Bencic after a lot of grass prep as Pironkova's a very tough out on this surface with her crafty slices but her serve is an absolute liability that will be threatened almost every game. A big power threat would've been a nightmare for Bencic here but the new Swiss miss will have ample opportunities in every game and should be able to feel her way through this one.
2* Riske/Safarova over 21.5 -108 (WTA)
1* Kokkinakis +173 Kokkinakis is really inexperienced but has all the tools to be a grass monster with his serve and power. Mayer finally put all his tools together to make a big leap last season and is extremely steady with his game backed by an underrated serve. He's still not very reliable on this surface so I'll take a chance with the young Aussie to set himself up in a favourable section of the draw.
1* Bolelli 1st set +209 Nishikori coming off what looked to be a serious calf injury, says he's recovered and ready to go here though. He barely escaped in 5 sets against Bolelli last year and the brief injury layoff may cause him to work his way into this one so I'll take a chance on the Italian getting the best of him in the 1st set.

Hey N3g, great 1st day. I tailed you on must of your plays.
No added pressure but I plan on tailing you this full tourney. A couple questions for you:
A. What's your rating system? Do you go above a 2 star pick? Just trying to figure out how much I want to wager per pick.
B. What time do you usual post your plays for the next day? I am in Minnesota (central time zone)
Thanks. Keep up the good work.
Coach J
A. 1-4 units; 4* being extremely rare(maybe 2x a year), 3* not very often (10-15x a year), 2* being my main, and 1* for most dog action.
B. I'll usually try to post the next day picks after all play finishes for the day so 4-5pm EST for Wimbledon. Will sometimes add a couple late additions around 10pm-midnight EST and include write ups for the next day if I have time.
Hope we do well then

I love San Fran. We take a family trip to S.F every fall and stay in Russian Hill. Would love to live in the Bay Area but being a teacher makes it right.
