1-1 last night, Sakkari keep choking, one break and 40-0 up in the third set and manage to lose 4 straight games..

She keep saying she has learned so

munch since she choked in the French Open semi final and the Wimbledon semi against Emma, but I would argue that she hasn’t learned anything from these matches and that she is mentally not strong enough when it matters the most.

anyway Norrie took a flight to Italy after there has been two players withdrawn already!

His season ended 2 weeks ago, and I’m sure he had already entered vacation mode, so can’t see that he can be prepared for this after such short notice.

The only meeting Ruud dominated against Norrie and I think we will see the same tonight.

 Maria was fighting herself all night.  Her strategy seemed to be hit it back middle to take away angles from Kont and slices.  Her service game however has improved tenfold this year.

i read they use a different ball there cause of the altitude.  The conditions didn’t favour those who hit flat like Sabalenka/pliskova/sakkari.

Maybe so, just sick of it have backed her 4 tournaments now on future and in three she has been out in the semi the one time she did reach a final I didn’t hedge…

It’s been good value on her but won’t bet her again as winner until she actually win a trophy.

I’m sure she now will go on and win Australia Open..
