I want to put my 18 units I have won in nfl this season so far.. in Serbia..
I cannot see in anyway them losing it..
what do you guys think.. they have never lost in that court... France doesn´t have Tsonga, Clement is old, Llodra as well, Simon is not the same Simon as 2-3 years ago...
Tipsarevic, defeat Roddick in US Open, Troicki is his best shape, and Djokovic is without any doubt the number 3 player in the world..
feedback appreciatted

I just hope Bookmaker or CRS puts the individual lines up. If Bookmaker does that they will probably put the lines up for both countries overall as well.

Llodra is dangerous, both in singles and especially in doubles
Agreed.
I don't think this is going to be the cake walk most people think it is.
If Monfils turns up he could get some points, could really push djokovic. Do I think Monfils will turn up, in serbia? Not really. But, he could!
Interesting to see who the number 2 singles player is - Troicki or Tipsaravic. Simon or Llodra?
Also rumour around that Djokovic might play in the doubles as well, interesting!
I beleive Llodra beat Djokvic last time, different kind of court though. (much faster)
Thinking about it - If Djokovic can do what we all think he will - win both his singles, then can serbia win one of the remaining 3 legs. Will be very interesting to see what happens!
Good luck to all with whatever they do!

I see Simon & Monfils listed for first round of singles.

I agree with the French strategy, this is their best line up option to
open with for the finals with Tsonga still injured. Llodra was
originally slated to play vs Djokovic, but he needs fast conditions to
pull an upset...something these courts don't offer. Simon's the only
other option as Clement is well past his prime and Gasquet is unreliable
under pressure.
Prediction: Serbia will be up 2-1 heading into sunday.
Djokovic will handle Simon easily, the courts are quite slow for indoors
so the Frenchman will be under enormous pressure on every service game.
He'll need to put up Garcia-Lopez type save numbers vs Nadal, GGL saved
24/26 break chances, to have any chance of stealing this one. Djokovic
in straight sets.
I'm leaning to the underrated monster at home, Tipsarevic, in the other
singles match. Monfils simply can't be trusted yet without a pro-French
crowd in Davis Cup situations. Losing, in his only match outside of
France for DC, on his best surface vs de Bakker is concerning. The
Frenchman also prefers a faster indoor court like Llodra, so the usual
winners won't be there and he'll be engaged in a baseline war which I
favour Tipsy in. Tipsarevic in 4-5 sets.
In the doubles match, Troicki's had some decent doubles results this
year but he's still vastly inexperienced in a prestigious final
situation compared to his partner Zimonjic and the opposition. Clement
and Llodra have too much chemistry and experience together in tight situations to lose this
one, especially if France is down 2-0 heading into this one. Expect a 4
set win for them to avoid the Serbian sweep.

Tipsarevic vs Monfils
Djokovic vs Simon
Clement/Llodra vs Troicki/Zimonjic

I am definitely playing Serbia, 8 units risked to win a bit more than 3. Homefield is huge in Davis Cup ("When they come here, it will be Hell" said the Serbian captain) and Djoker is good for 2 of the 3 needed wins by himself, unless you seriously think Monfils can beat him in a best of 5 format on the road with Djoker thinking this is his only shot at DC glory!
Just need one apart from that.
If Tipsveravic beats Monfils tomorrow, which is possible, then I cash my bet immediately (in my mind). I also think Simon is bringing horrible form into this event and he always lets home crowds get in his head, has lost to the likes of Greul on the road this year, and many others.
Might also put a unit on Monfils in a parlay and hope to hit the middle of him winning but Serbia eventually winning the tie.
btw nice writeup n3gative.

well looks like Tipsveravic will lose barring a miracle. as stated I bet on Monfils here to start. but pounded serbia
now having some doubts
I did this partially for action so I will not be too pissed but should have at least cut it down to 5 units only or so...
I am starting to think that if all faves cover, will that mean France wins?
Monfils here. Then Djoker over Simon. Then the French doubles team. Then Djoker over Monfils. So that makes it 2-2. Then Tipseravic vs Simon for all the marbles.
I would think Tipservaic has a fine shot if he plays better than he is right now, but this would make my -245 on Serbia basically -245 for Tipsveravic to beat Simon, no?
Am I missing something?
And there seem to be as many French people in the crowd, or at least they are as loud as the Serbians. It is hard to tell who even has homefield advantage.
Anyway I feel like I fucked up. I hope they put Troicki in the final tie. I need Djoker to win both of his matches and for an upset to occur it feels like. If faves sweep feels like France at dog odds will cash.

You did not state shit. You said "might also put a unit on Monfils". You are horrible
at least I wrote that before the match, unlike all your spam posts after it started. joke poster. -------- If this coach keeps Tips in he is also a joke. Troicki would surely fare better than this. Put Tips in the doubles and Troicki in the final singles match.

dont worry burning i think this will end in the last match of the tie djokovic should win beating simon to make it 1-1 but france will get the win in doubles , i am surprised with the odds, its pickem, no doubt france is better team, sunday as you know djoko will tie it beating monfils and the last match who ever plays, serbia gonna win with the home crowd despite i saw some french crowd there. thats the story.

I agree that is probably how it plays out, but then shouldn't we have waited to get the line for the fifth match and played the Serbian player at much lower odds then -230?

Not a hater or anything, but tennis is too unpredictable to risk everything you worked hard for. I know cuz I got burned so much by tennis. I'm not saying I don't like your bet, I'm just saying in the world of sports (especially tennis) anything can happen.
Manage your money and don't look for a quick buck. My .02
BOL with whatever you decide on. I'll be wagering a small stake on the serbs as well.

serbia -230 was a pathetic price to begin with, you are basically laying -230 on tipsarevic or troicki to win one of their singles, considering france should win the doubles and djoko should win his matches.
burning, you pounded serbia and are having doubts after tipsarevic lost as a +180 underdog? doesn't make any sense at all mate

as stated I did it for action and on gut instinct without thinking it through. my doubts are not due to Tips losing but realizing that it would come down to the fifth match and what a bad price I paid. I will try and buy out if they offer updated odds later on today.

btw lucash I wish you had mentioned your thinking in that last post earlier. I already stated the same thing by the time you came in and wrote it. Your listed reason for not like Serbia earlier in the thread is that they are heartless. My reaction to that was thinking about how heartless most of the French players were and how it more than evened out.
No need to rub it in after the fact with the very reasons I just listed for regretting the pick, especially when the reason you listed was completely different.

btw as stated I won a unit on Monfils so I definitely was not shocked. I did feel like Monfils had a lot more crowd support than expected. The French aspect of the crowd is large and vocal and does seem to negate some of the Serbian homefield advantage.
that was a revelation, but my main regret is not capping this more thoroughly. the smart play would have been France at plus money then for the fifth match playing the Serbs at dog or very low fave odds for guaranteed profit.
hopefully if I do not get a chance to buy out tonight the Serbs can pull an upset in doubles. One of them is a great doubles player, maybe that combined with whatever home crowd advantage he can extract will be enough to trump the superior chemistry on the other side of the net.
