I am no wheres near as good as you, but please let me say my little piece, you only need to make one play a week I believe, please check, there are only 5 games for Saturday. There has got to be 1 cushy spot once a week for the next 3 weeks Boss, for 75,000. Please consider this. I am only trying to be reasonable, not a party pooper.

You have already proven you are a better capper than probably every paid capper on this site in my opinion. I know you are very good at this, even if they insist on calling it a hot streak. Dont feel pressured to make a pick. Do your thing, its not 25 anymore, its only 3. Hope you dont think I am being a jerk here. Good Luck Boss, if its tomorrow or a week from now, I am still on the Train. I just looked at the 5 for tomorrow and nothing jumped out at me like you say. 75k is alot of money. OK, sorry for sounding like your father, but I am old enough to be. Peace.

Showing respect to Brackson, I am not going to start a "fight" here with u because I just don`t want to spoil his topic with bullshits.
My nickname is coming from Bill Madlock, a great baseball player during the `70s and `80s. In the moment I created my account on Covers, I read some stuff about him, no better inspiration then, hence my nickname.
So keep calm, wasn`t necessary to insult me just because of my observation.
That's cool with me, you fired the first shot. It's squashed.
The whole starting a thread because the dude is close to winning some cash seems like a jinx, but the guy doesn't seem to mind. The superstitious wouldn't like it.

Just reading about this. Very impressive. Heck I was just hoping to win a hat someday. Lol. Just keep sticking by what you have been doing. No since changing anything up now.

They have been calling me a jinx since I started these threads. With all due respect that kinda of talk is for people who believe in the Tooth Fairy. I think it's safe to say that Brackson and Navyvet have effectively ended the jinx talk for now since both reached the money level as did 3 members last year.I usually start these threads when a member hits 15 or 16. Good luck to you on your streak sir.

All this talk about hedging is ridiculous. Why should he hedge when he has a guaranteed $25,000 why in the world would you hedge when you're already playing with house money. IJS
LOL. You must be the CEO of the financial institution...hes guaranteed the 26..why not guarantee yourself 50..he has the 26 to finance the situation with...
GLuck as always with your next pi k!!!!

Congrats again on a solid pick Brackson! Don't worry about what others say, go with your gut and your excellent analysis. If you can't get the type of research you feel is needed to back up an instinctual play then maybe back off the pick for one day, but that's the only advice I'd feel comfortable giving to someone as hot as you right now. But again, it's your write ups and analysis that is carrying the weight of gold here along with your cajones of steel to be picking every day!!
Good luck and crush it!!!

ok, so before i post my pick and reasoning for today, let me address a couple of things that seem to be hot topics...
1) picking every day - the fact that other people are putting their own money on my picks for no other reason than that i picked them is something i take very seriously. if i don't have time to research or if i research and don't feel comfortable with anything, i won't play that day. but if i do research and like something, i'm taking it. my favorite song by ben howard (the concert i went to the other night) is called "the fear." the gist of the song is that if you live life in the confines of fear, whatever becomes of you is exactly what you deserve. i haven't gotten here by living in fear, and i'm not going to start now.
2) hedging - again, i take it very seriously that other people are risking their own money on my picks. if i get to 24 and hedge, that essentially means i can take any game on the docket for that day, and that the outcome of the game doesn't matter to me because i've put myself in a win-win. first, my name isn't webster, but that doesn't sound like gambling to me. second, i don't see how it's fair of me to perhaps make a pick with little to no research and put myself in a win-win, but hang everyone that's actually risking money out to dry when i end up being on the wrong side. if i get to 25, i think the $100k will be well-deserved based on the actual probability of such a streak. if i lose tonight, or if i lose on 23 or 24, i'm going to make $25k for playing a free game on a website and having the time of my life for a couple weeks. i think i'll find a way to survive it.

If you bet 100 dollars on his first win and let it ride, you would have won over a million dollars already. Problem is, no offshore or vegas book would have let you keep winning!
Hope he hits the milestone! Only 3 wins to go. amazing!!!!!

taking memphis -16.5 tonight. was hoping the line would drop from 17, and for once i was right. as most of you know by now, i'm not great at anticipating line movement on nba games. so here's the why...
from a philly perspective, it's the third game in four nights, and they had to fly from philly to memphis last night; we know how i feel about that. they were already limited offensively, and now they are without the instant offense of tony wroten in their rotation. i wish tony a speedy and successful recovery. that means heavier minutes and more reliance on others, which should also add to the level of fatigue. it's a big number, but not really for philly. ten of their 22 games on the road this year have been losses of 17 or more.
from a memphis perspective, they've been at home with no travel for over a week. they also haven't played the last two nights. fresh legs galore. to add to philly's offensive struggles, memphis has been playing much better defense of late. when they played in philly in december, it was a huuuge look-ahead spot, as the next game was at home against golden state, and the next three were against san antonio, chicago and cleveland (with lebron). they essentially toyed with philly for three quarters before winning the fourth and overtime by 17. there is no look-ahead here as the next game is against orlando. because of the way the game in philly went, i can't imagine there's a coach in the world that wouldn't be driving home the importance of playing all 48 minutes the last two days. they should come out looking to punch philly in the mouth and never look back.
i understand it's a ton of points to give up; certainly more than i'd like to under normal circumstances. i also know it's hard to predict blowouts, but this to me has the look and feel of a wire-to-wire no-doubter.

one more thing before i get back to my duties as a domestic goddess...if anyone from covers is actually following this thread, can you tell me what i have to do to get one of those little green bars under my picture? i just feel like at this point, i should have earned at least one. it's making me very self-conscious.
