@grapejelly, wow. thank you for the equally kind and well-written compliments. i am a sucker for high-quality syntax.

also, since i assume you are a fan, i would recommend blackberry jam for your next PB&J. i used to pick the blackberries for my grandmother to use in hers when i was a kid, but smuckers makes a mass-produced version that is pretty solid as well.

@donchrono, i'm staying away from the detroit-toronto game. the back-to-back doesn't scare me in itself. it's the three games in four days, four games in five days, etc. with heavy minutes and lots of travel. detroit had two days off before last night's game, and because it was a blowout, i don't think anybody on the team played 30 minutes.

also think van gundy is a good coach, and with the way lowry and derozan are struggling offensively right now, i think detroit has the pieces to still get production without jennings if he comes up with the right game plan. i think monroe is a guy you can run your offense through exclusively, and they have solid outside shooters to put around him to make toronto pay if they have to start doubling. i also have a very biased, very high opinion of jodie meeks' abilities as he's a year older than me and played at a powerhouse high school in the metro atlanta area, so i've been enamored with his ability for many years. he is someone that could play more minutes and pick up some of the scoring slack for jennings. majority of teams come out with intensity the game after a disappointing effort like they had last night. not confident enough in all the dominoes falling the way i've described to make it my pick for today, but it's enough to make me stay away from toronto.

still working to find my selection if it's out there. who knows? today might be the dreaded day off.

think i may have to take a page from @pappicaps' book and start posting my position on hedging every hour on the hour to avoid having the conversation over and over and over again. i understand the concept, i am not interested in applying it to this particular situation.

@mjpalli, i have to stay away from that one as well. i do my best to keep up with my gators, but other than that i have no clue what's going on in college basketball. i agree that line looks too good to be true at a glance, but anything can happen on the road in college basketball, and i can't take a risk on something i have no knowledge of whatsoever at this juncture.

I'm quite late to your party, but I wish to extend a belated congratulations on your $25K win.

I can't even begin to comprehend the kind of pressure that you must be feeling.

If you have a sage stick, like a white leaf sage stick (get 'em at any health food store), be sure to use the sage by lighting it on fire to let it smolder, then wave it around yourself and your room to keep the energy as clean and clear as possible while you focus on your final two picks.

Be sure to undo the string that holds the sage stick and pry off just one, little sprig of the white leaf sage and burn that for a couple of minutes -- that's all that you need. Have a bowl of sand nearby to use to snuff out the smoldering fire of the sage for a future use.

You do post your daily picks on this thread, right?

I wouldnt hedge either, but Id be looking for a small dog (+2.5 to +5.5) and taking it in the contest and taking the fav ml for a middle.....but thats why i dont have 23 wins in a row

Goodmorning Burd! I woke up walked over to the computer, looked at the pick for about 3 minutes and proceeded to back a dime on it. THAT is how much trust I have in your capping right now. I have never bet that kinda wood on anyones play, paid or unpaid, except my wife did once pick a boxer and I did lay 15k on that one. But that was a long time ago, different you understand. So here we are on the eve of your Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier Rumble in the Jungle. Win or Lose today, I have a deep sense of gratitude to have been able to witness such a perfect storm. If you feel like continuing making picks and helping an older couple out a little at the same time, I know you will pick at least a string of ten more before the season is over, we have at least two more months of regular season, I will jump on a plane, fly to Vegas, my money, start with 100$ bet, let it ride 10 days in a row till we get it to say 50k, and split it with you 50/50. Please consider this, i dont know what kinda offers you will get, but you will certainly get many, we will use my money and your picks Boss. I will send you your half anyway you want or you can even come out and pick it up, I am very easy to work with, I am not going to gamble with life changing money (degenerate). I would just like to supplement my income this NBA season, would rather not sell fireworks again this year, getting a little old for it. So Please consider my proposal, I could really use the help. Just wanted to congratulate you on your incredible run and say to you keep doing it your way. Your reasoning is very sound and although many have wanted to help by suggesting picks keep it your way. Again your Houston pick is very sound .

Why do you feel the need to say how much you put on the games each and every day. and you come back after to say how much you won. .... we know how much betting 5k gives in return and you don't need to tell me how much you put each day i KNOW already
