Shit bro, you have to lose alot of money before you start understanding this business. I am decent just need to learn a little more discipline...i guess that comes with age. You are a good capper and your backgroungd gives you an edge over most of the yahoo's out there. Until last year i had trouble pulling the trigger on unders but as you know that is all I've played in these playoffs...hasn't paid off well though, LOL. But thats how the ball bounces. I would love to meet up with you in Vegas one of these times and introduce you to some of my friends out there, Let me know if you ever want to go, we'll do a weekday or something and really gamble our asses off with some baseball.
Everyday I try to learn a little more and more about this art. It's crazy how certain cappers can just open the sports paper and see when the lines makers made a mistake without even knowing much about the X's and O's and the players. Capping is kind of like baseball. You succeed 3 out of 10 times in baseball you are a good player. Well cappers don't go 90% on their picks. They try to hit 65-70% and capitalyze on their big plays and halftime wagers. I have followed alot of main stream cappers such as Brandon Lang and some of these Covers cappers.....most of them are a joke and go through tough stretches!!!!!

Well I must be trying really hard to understand this business cuz I have lost my share of greenbacks, hollywood!
It's not discipline I lack...it's understanding betting strategies and how to lay bets properly (more than just s/up plays)..embarrassing to say, but there are days I have gone 4-1 or 6-2 and won only a little or pushed...I can't seem to maximize my strong plays...I struggle with "organizing" my plays ...maybe you can teach this old dog a few tricks in Sin City....I am game for meeting you there this summer...I am going to pack up my black Pontiac Firebird and drive west headed for somewhere in June/July..might as well be there...if you can learn a little more and more every day, that's how a man gets GREAT at his craft...greatness is earned in small measurables and builds up over time (unless one is just born with it)...
I have to trust you and your Vegas connections on the Under here ...but "the player and gambler" in me says OVER ROVER!...and we shall see if the line drops...it's gone down half a point at my sportsbook...Colts are still at -7....thanks, hollywood....let's talk before game day...

Name me a decent dome team other than the colts and New Orleans this year (who has been horrible during most years they've been around). There aren't many dome teams. Minnesota, New Orleans, Indy. Who else: Houston retractable grass stadium, Arizona (see houston). Anybody else? Nice stat but not much of a leg to stand on. Seattle years ago? Oh yeah Atlanta for the past ten years or so.

Chicago must run the ball and they did that against New Orleans. In the beginning their drives were long and methodical. Indy plays that cover two that does not give up the big pass play (just the big run play to Maurice Jones Drew, UCLA). They play a good red zone d also. Indy does not stretch the ball that often either. It's three yards here two yards then 8 yards. Chicago does not give up the big play with their D either. I can see both teams presurring the quarterback and leaving third and longs. I really like the prop bet for over 3.5 sacks. I've seen Indy have seven-eight minute drives and punt...they try to control the clock and keep their defense off the field. 48.5 is too much for these two NFL teams in my eyes.

The correct answer is ....NEVER! What do I win now??? And Texas Satdium has always been astroturf (way back when) or field turf....the only grass in there is what the fans smoke when the Cowboys are losing!
A 4.6 in the 40, hollywood? Not too bad for the Drill Team Captain! They didn't use a stopwatch to time me in the 40...the coaches used a calender! ....6% body fat??? What! Are you just trying to piss me off?? I have more than that in my hamstrings alone? I have GOT to straighten my fat flabby self out before spring and summer get here...I don't want the young turks at Muscle Beach to think a beached whale from Texas has landed on the California Coast!! They will all be trying to throw me back into the Pacific!!!

Great points in that last post, hollywood...I have seen 7 minute drives by Indy ending in a punt as well...I will see if I can get that prop bet...their should be 4 sacks in this game! Good call!

God finally some free time. All work and no play makes Big Daddy a dull boy
This Bears team kinda reminds me of the past Super Bowl champs the Ravens way back in 2001 when they beat the Giants. The funny thing is that I can't even remember the QB for the Ravens during that season. I can remember Ray Lewis and others on defense, but can't really remember the offense too well. As they always say defense wins championships. The question is will I remember Urlacher and forget Grossman come Monday morning? or will the words finally and Peyton become the talk around work all day Monday?
Look at the Pats and their Super Bowl victories. C'mon guys admit it just about everyone will say because of Brady the Pats won all their Super Bowl games. Hardly anyone speaks out about how tough the defense of the Pats were and how a clutch kicker like Adam Vineteri saved the Pats many a times. IMO a lot of stats got overlooked in those games, but if you look closely the stats will show that the Pats as a team pulled out those victories not just 1 man and by the way if I'm not mistaken Brady's numbers are not that great during the post season.
IMO both these teams reversed it's weakness into their strengths towards the end of the regular season and through the post season. The Colts started the regular season with a higher passing game as oppose to their running not to exclude a defense that would allow high school running backs 100 plus yards against them. Colts turned their game plan around to involve more running than passing and now has a defense to be proud of.
Bears turn around is quite obvious. The Bears had no running game to start the season. In fact they were still in limbo on who to start at running back almost half way through the season. Things have changed for them and they too have a running game that might keep the Colts defense busy for the day and keep Peyton off the field longer than expected. The downfall of the Bears turn around is that the passing game became non existant. Being a fan of ESPN I think I saw more highlights of Berrian catching passes than I did Harrison, so at one point in time the Bears must have had a passing game, but can they find it come Super Bowl Sunday. The one good thing about the bye week for the Bears is that Rex Grossman has proven that he is a much better player coming off a bye week.
Still hard to say on this one guys I like the Bears, but this might turn out to where I would play the Bears in the first half and turn around in the second half to go with the Colts, but it all depends on how the Bears do in the first half. There is something about the Colts and the outdoor games that I don't like, but I could be wrong as usual. Colts used to be in the AFC East division and I don't think they played well at all in Miami.
I think I have got a hell of a lot more riding on prop bets in this matchup as oppose to the game at hand.
Bears at the half ( until further notice )
Aloha and good luck to all

what's going on? Do you roam around the other forums? Well if you do you'd know who Mr.Bator is. He is a cult figure in the pro football forum (the other one outside of here). This guy's threads last two weeks and get thousands of views. He has major cred as far as I am concerned. In the past two months this guy has saved many guys marriages because he brought them out of their gambling debts with his picks. I've been on Chicago since day one but yesterday I found a thread he was on and me and him were on the same page with this game (made me feel a little better). He had a future bet on the colts so he is going to try to middle and take the bears and the points. Anyways he thinks this line should be Indy as a three point favorite or so. But I like a man with conviction and if you are feeling Indy stick with it. Good luck with that pick...I'll be rooting against you!!!!!
Yes, I spend time in the other forums & I know who MrBator is. I asked him if he's playing for the middle & he said he's not, but I think that's easy to say when that's the position you are in and the reality is I think he is playing for the middle, read his posts. He's a player no doubt and has had a tremendous run so I respect his pick, but I have to trust MY instinct, it's served me well for 20 or so years of wagering. Good luck with your pick as well, thanks for the respect.
Johnny Wishbone, I don't expect you to believe my 13-2 ATS SB last 15, I can't document that and I said as much - but it is true. I've only been posting here a few months.
But you better believe my 7-1 ats last 8 sides, those picks are on these boards. Feel free to attack my record if you must, but all I did was offer my advice and analysis to the board and did so without insulting anybody here or calling a defense 36th ranked. Make your play and good luck to you, I'll be back Sunday night win or lose. I'm going to cash for 7k with just a Colts victory, and I am still putting more on the Colts - points.

aloha BDhpd, it was Trent Dilfer, who actually hit a few long passes in that game and played most of the year with minimal turnovers.
im most curious what PROPS you're playing.
Hey 3rd, if i had 7K riding on a win alone id probably do alot of colts prop bets and not so much -7 but thats me. God help me im a closet Raider fan and my bacon got saved with prop bets in that SB loss toTB, where Gannon passed for a ton (to both teams)
of course if you emotionally feel the need for the full Monte by all means let er rip.
Speaking of which, SCORPIO and JT you guys need to truly understand why PM does all his checkdowns, Jeff Saturday has a horrible gas problem, its a survival issue.

Put me down for the following: Bears +7, under 48'. I've looked at this every which way possible and come to one conclusion - it could go either way. But no matter which way it goes, I have a final score of 24-21 with a total of 45.
Chicago +7
Under 48'

Hello fellers.
Sorry for the late show on the this thread.
Coloneljim,

I really like the colts minus 7. Their defense has stepped it up in the playoffs and basically carried them. Peyton and the offense hasn't played their best football in the two playoff games. Plus I think Grossman is just gonna choke in the biggest game of the year, hell his life. Bears defense might be better, but Colts have more weapons and more discipline. It's their turn. i'll put 15 of these on the Colts.
Good luck folks. Enjoy the game.
