CG- you should fear poverty. Hunger sucks. Sleeping on asphalt sucks.

He takes Iowa -6.5, it goes to overtime and they win by 2. And he whines how he lost another "close" game?
This was a horrible beat. Iowa was undefeated coming into this game and literally did not miss a single shot the entire season. Of course, when CG bets them, they start missing shots. Plus I think they led by 7 at one point, so it was a total backdoor.
Don't tell a pro how to whine about his wagers.

Sad ending, guess you can call it a cautionary tale. What is truly surprising is reality had not sunk in until today. Now that he is down to his last 140 He believed in the gamblers myth of a chip and a chair is all you need

He doesn't need to dig the hole any deeper, but it looks like credit card advances for now and still thinking that he can win. Nothing wrong with partying your behind off, but making gambling decisions while holding on to what little money is left, is a tough combo.

This is comedy at it's best. Everyone knew he was going broke, but few realized how bad he is at betting. He hasn't made a dime in any sport yet.
It was clear since day one that his emotions would always get the best of him, and prevent him from being successful even if he was a good capper.
But as you said, lets just stick to the betting side of things.
Putting all the obvious reasons aside why he had no chance since day one, (emotional trainwreck, drugs, alcohol, etc) I never saw one single analysis of a game that lead me to believe he had the slightest clue of what he was talking about. Every single explanation he ever brought up to justify a pick for a game could be found by looking through 5 minutes of boxscores by the most uneducated gambler out there. He claimed he was a "football god" and knew things about the sport that no one else did. I guess those things that only he knows is looking at fake consensus numbers/line movements and determining the "sharp" side. Sad.
When he couldn't answer vanzack's question within the first 5 pages of this thread, it was obvious right then and there how this would end up. And that was without knowing all the other variables that put him in his current position.

Not true.
There have been a ton of times (at least 10) where he started to admit he was done. Then he proceeded to take more out of the 401k, get cash advances, cling on to any money he could possibly find to continue to gambling.
And even though he has a $140 to his name, I would lay -1000 that it will continue just as it did above.

I think he finally sobered up from his weed/coke/animal tranquilizer, percocet/booze bender that he's been on for a month straight. Now comes the boo-hoo posts about all his debt. Zero sympathy for him.

I felt the same way. Last year I went through his NFL picks from 2 years ago where he supposedly hit 60%. All it was was a couple week run of favorites hitting where he'd take first half, spread and money line and they'd all hit. He'd count that as 3 "wins" even though his combined stake on the 3 plays was the same as one spread bet.
Yep he claimed he'd know it all while referencing a trend he saw on ESPN that a million others saw too, then feel he was "cursed" when this great trend he "found" didn't hit when he bet it.

Plain and Simple, he got caught up in the Vegas scene. Gambling aside, he was acting like he was on vacation. His lifestyle is not a reality. People go to Vegas and party it up for 3-4 days, but then it ends and they go back to their normal lives.

While this is true, at the same token whenever he would win 2 or more games in a row, he started to blab about how he was going to make a comeback or 100k a year. So it is actually very hard to gauge his mindset.
