I like the Lakers because they already lost this season to the Clips in Staples Center while being "hosts". Because the Clips are way profitable over the Lakers this season and those things balance out ATS wise. I like the Lakers because they are on their way up while the Clips are on their way down. I like the Lakers because they are a better team. They always were. They were just Faking. Not today. I like the Lakers because the Clips already have a win marked tomorrow against the Warriors and will lay down today in my opinion. I like the Lakers because today they will play not to fall 0-2 in the series against the Clips. I like the Lakers because despite the whole world being on the Clips - the line remained the same

How are clips on way down? They lost 2 tough road games after winning 17 straight??
Anyone who played the ball will tell you that after a hype of a long winning streak comes a low of the lack of intensity. The Clips are at that right now. They will regain their composure as I can see tomorrow. Now, those are my assessments - I can be wrong. But I have been right more times than I have been wrong

I have one request. Small but important. No matter how annoying some posters can behave - don't let this thread become a trash talk thread. I will lose all my interest in it if it will. Those who ask repeatedly the same things will stop once they'll understand the system here. So, please everyone stay civil and patience and tolerant towards each other. The amount of respect you'll show will equal amount of respect shown to you.. Thanks for standing up for me, but believe or not - I'm the last person needs anyone standing for him

cool, thanks mavin thats awesome, real insightful.you see reasons that i perhaps didnt consider...being a basketball nut,but not a handicapper,i tend to look at reasons only basketball related like clippers main strengths-running,jumping/athletic ability and depth of talent also being lakers greatest weaknesses.plus hard 2 see clippers remaining in horrible shooting funk from the previous 2 games.
but i understand there is a far bigger picture and so many other factors to consider as u teach us.
i think who is the better team tho is definitely yet 2 b determined.no doubt lakers hav better top end talent wen healthy, but overall???in regular season matchups slight edge goes to clippers i feel.in playoffs, wen rotations are shortened and its about wat your primary players can do it swings back to the lakers......just my opinion, time will tell i guess.
thanks again mavin

Stop torturing yourself. Embrace whatever happens - don't even think of chasing and take a good look at your record. In another words - calm down. This is a marathon and you need stainless steel nerves
