So, after the line and odds have been released by LVSC, doctored by the Books, changed by the wagers placed by the Wise Guys and the Sharps - the general public gets it's turn. The general public bets first wave is influenced by all kinds of so called "experts" who either sell their picks or generally sell but sometimes released them for free. Touts if you will. They usually release their picks early and their clients - some big and some small - all take a shot. The line changes again or does not change - depending on the volume of the bets. And at this stage - the books are applying reevaluation tools while the traders from most books cooperate on an effort to balance the bets using the tools at their disposal. Why balance the bets? The easiest way for the books to make earnings is through the Juice. If it was up to them - they would never tamper with any lines or odds as long as all the bets would be balanced evenly and the juice and the public losses on parlays and live betting(yes, parlays are a great income source for the books as are the live betting consoles) would be only source for their gain. But, the bets not always are balanced because they can't catch up to the money wagered with releasing appropriate lines/odds and are forced to artificially change the lines and odds in that case. It does not happen very often and only reducing a risk factor for them and is called Reverse Line Movement initiated by the books. The other kind of "RLM" is only a virtual RLM and is seen by us when most public bets are on one side while the line moves the other way because some fat money bets being placed. So, two occasions when the "public is on one side"(actually most bets, but not most of the money) and the line moves opposite - "kosher RLM", and "Non Kosher RLM" when the fat money as well as the majority of the bets are on one side and the line moves to another as a result of books initiated RLM to make us think where the game is going to.
Must be noted that among the tools the books use to manipulate public into betting on a certain side they're sure they'll have a hard time to balance the bets for are Media, Touts in their service.
So, when we say we are rolling with the book, we have to know which way the book is really rolling.

MIL/IND UNDER 188...I'M ADDING AS WELL..Indiana ahs had trouble scoring lately and 5 outta last 6 games have gone under. Milwaukees 4 outta last 5 games on the road have gone under....getting the picture??? We all know the Bucks can score points in bunches but I think the Pacers are going to try and slow this game down..
I just noticed i picked all away teams....oh well haha
btw Kings+7 is just a lean that i am looking at.....again not a game just a lean...so my final games are
IND/MIL-UNDER 188

I gotta compliment melosjumper7 on releasing your leans and pick in orderly fashion
Agree, love the orderly fashion, much easier for all to follow that way. And agree with most your pics, although I don't like the jazz +9. I'm also a bit concerned with Jared jack being out and not positive the warriors will win, but with giving 6 points seems like a very reasonable bet.
1 other I want to throw out there is spurs -13.5, I usually hate games with that many points, but with the relatively low total o/u, I think Vegas is expecting a blowout, and I am too with the sixers so bad on the road and in middle of a lot of road games. Could very easily see spurs winning in a blowout over 20. I haven't actually put money on this yet, but its the game I'm most leaning towards

Here is the main reason i cant pull the trigger on the Kings/Nets game. These are just two inconsistent teams that are struggling to form an identity. Actually haha i shouldnt say struggling and i mean that in different ways for both teams. Nets are forming an identity with their new coach but we havent seen that in it's complete form yet. The Kings i cant even say struggling with their identity any more cause thats what we have said for them for 2 years now. Basically they either show up in games or they dont. When they play tough team physical basketball they can really play well but on the offensive side of the ball they really are just all independent players, rather then a team working together to find its way. Both these teams are 4-1 in their last 5 games. But are the "new Nets" the team that lost to SA by 30 or the team that next game beat an OKC team that almost never loses at home the last 2 years, and they didnt just beat them, they really dominated at the backside of the game. Now the Kings are just off 4/5 wins against new york ), boston, cleveland and in toronto. They lost to the Pistons in Detroit by 7 in a game that was closer then that. You know what I'm taking this game, I just convinced myself. My projection only has Kings losing by 4...I'l take an extra 3 points i guess...haha

nice picks melos,i actually really like all of them...only one mite b an outside chance of getting blown is utah, whose form on the road can fluctuate wildly and coming off a win at phoenix they cud b satisfied for the moment...also appears denver is highly motivated after all the locker room talk and calling out from george karl and ty lawson.but then wen u play in denver there is always sum chance u get blown out if they play fast and with energy.but in saying all of that utah is certainly not without a chance.
the rest all look solid to me,expect cavs to hang around a bit but surely not for the full 48 and its damn well about time somebody anhihalated that over-matched,under-talented bunch in orlando...i cant figure how they continue to stay in every single game up till the end, just fiesty i guess.
thanks alot for sharing melos

Austintx11, GuardiaDeMieux - we're all on the same side and I don't hold anything someone says in the past as a grudge. We evolve on hourly basis. Respect each other and be respected.

btw Stock I really like the Spurs in that game as well. I can see them winning by like 20-25 pts however Philly is so inconsistent that is hard to understand which 76ers is going to show up. On an eye test that line does seem huge but is it really???....Were talking Spurs and a healthy spurs team (besides steven jackson tripping over waitresses) at home...I dont have to look at the numbers for a healthy spurs team at home they cover all the time. But if Jrue Holiday does end up having a huge game they could come back later and get within the cover. The Spurs also really surprised me in that loss that they got blown out in to the Knicks basically because when do the Spurs ever get blown out, they have won 75 percent of their regular season games in the last year.

I have to deff agree with you Melosling i was deff worried about Utah/Denver but I am hoping Faried is still ill and that Lawson still wont be completely healthy and that basically the JAZZ actually show up. They do tend to not show up on away games alot. Also I can definitely see the Cavs staying with the Rockets for a while, I'm basically hoping Houston does what they do alot, which is start running away at the end of the game. However they tend to certainly do that more at home then away. But the Cavs, are the Cavs lol.

btw Mavin great call on the Texans/Bengals under I saw that earlier. Wow Keo that was such a dumb penalty, if he catches that ball he is falling anyway, so he wasnt getting extra yards. Man, what a huge play that just was. But yeah Mavin good call although this game really should have had more points considering Houstons fgs though they had done a terrible job scoring in hte last 2 games anyway. Also that pick 6 was easy score so they kind of even out. Either way though great pick
