Toronto has played in the early spot on Sunday 3 times this year. Twice covered at home against Rockets and double OT against spurs. Got blown out on road against Clips. From memory dogs have good record in early games. That would need to be verified. Not by me though time for bed.

Hi all. I'm new to posting but I've been playing in Survivor and League contests since 2003. No out of pocket money betting for me. I have enjoyed this thread considerably. Mavin's original post caught my eye and wow has it taken off. I've been taking advice here and there but I still like to instill my own handicapping technique along with the help. Last night I decided to go on my own and won all 5 games. NY, Bos (most enjoyable 3rd qtr), Ind., Hou and Denver. I check the thread after to see what the picks were on the thread.  I'll continue to turn to this thread but I think it's good to challenge what you learn on this thread every once in a while to see if it's really working.

I agree skaka. Didn't we decide on this thread that most of the early games (i.e 1 PM starts) go under because the players are all thrown off since they are used to playing at night?

For what it's worth.

Toronto are 2/8 for covering spreads +6 or higher this year.
1/8 being at Denver
2/8 being at Home against Brooklyn.

Hmm..here are my thoughts for the OKC-TOR martchup

First, the majority of the wagers on this match-up is on the OKC- pounding it about 70%-80% of the total wagers. Aside from that, we all know the capabilities of the OKC against the -7 spread, especially against the TOR. The TOR may be having a roll this past few games, but I personally believe that OKC is too much. 

BUT on the other hand, I think the revenge factor plays a plus for the TOR. The home court also sides with the craptors. PLUS, I think Westbrook may have partied last night and went home late.LOL! (He looks like a party starter to me..LOL) The 1pm time and Sundays also side with the dogs.

Last but not the least - The bookies.
Since the majority of the bets are on the OKC, and still the line moved in favor of the OKC, the MAN may have been luring people to bet on the Thunder boys. So IF I WERE THE BOOKIE, people betting on the OKC that MUCH, and then TOR covering will mean I get $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!! 

So whats my point? MAVIN told in his previous threads that playing along the bookie pays, though not all the time. So on this one, I will play along them, play like I were the bookie. 

If there's one thing I learned from MAVIN, the team you bet against is not the one you/we should be aiming for, it's the bookies..Well, their $$$$$$$ actually.

BTW, I wagered on the Raptors not to actually win (well hopefully it pays off too....fingers crossed) but also to test the theory of playing along the side of the bookie.

Raptors or Thunders, Miami or Washington. BEST OF LUCK TO US!

Chubs,theres nothing to studying to sign up for a sportsbook, unless you want to look at their ratings on sbr,It takes like 5 mins online. You might ask some of the people here in a PM who they use cause to respect Covers policy you dont want to mention any names. But to have to bet 7 hours before tip is BS.

I'm seeing alot of people taking Toronto based on them being 3-0 ATS at home on Sundays....

The most recent being agaisnt Houston who just so happens allow an avg of 103.4 ppg (29th in the leauge.) in which the spread was 3.5.

Now they face OKC who score the 2nd most in the league and are 11th in points allowed with a spread of 7...

Just some information for you guys out there taking the points.

OK. The line released by LVSC was OKC -7.5. The books doctored it to -6.5 and the public support money have raised it to -7. NumberFire has it at 103,7 - 99.1 OKC and TeamRankings at 100.9 - 94.1.
Now, the game is the most betted NBA game so far and that is most probably the combination of the game being an early one as well as the "easiest" one on the paper for the public. 
My perception of early games on weekends as in MLB as in other US pro sports - go with the underdog. The question is if the conservative line (by now with all the public support the line should have been at -8 at least) illustrates the possibility of the Raptors covering the first half or the game itself. We all know that without Harden - the Thunder is able to lay down as they did against the Nets (Harden is one of those that don't comply with "authority"). Will they to the Raptors? If anyone entertains a thought that at any constellation the Raptors can beat the Thunder on their own without the Thunder allowing it  - is wrong. The Thunder, SA and Miami are able to beat anyone by any score they want to on any night. But they aren't!

Haha sorry if I came off as a d.ick but just been reading so much crap lately it's hard to filter out the idiots and folks like yourself. 

As for the game itself, I'm not gonna touch it. Havn't seen anything that pops out on this card...might make a play on Heat/Wiz over that's about it. Best of luck mate and have a solid one
