I neber saw the line dropping to -2.5. May be you were at some time looking at the first half lines. Possible?

Thanks Marvin- This weekend I was experimenting a lot with open spots I will start my own thread on that.

As for the Lakers I have the under and the lakers, Denver has been playing great I think the Lakers need a win today- Under and Money Line-

Ok bit of practice here reading the lines. Under betting trends, there are 3 separate columns, sides, money and totals and a percentage given for each one.  Am assuming that the side column is giving % numbers for the bets for either side, eg Denver or LA and the money is for actually money wagered.

So if 73% of the bets are coming for LA yet the total money is 58% then the bigger bets must be for the Nuggets yet the line is moving big time for Lakers.  So still more money for the Lakers but as much to move the line like that???

I originally liked Lakers, off a loss to clips and got the nuggets in the B2B spot but those numbers make me a little wary.....

Appreciate any pointers on my reading of this.

Apologies I should have been a little clearer with the last post, I wasn't talking about Under betting trends as in under totals but rather on the website I was looking at it had betting trends with three separate columns.

Also wondering with a lot of people watching the NFL today and with the Lakers/Nuggets the last game of the day be a lot of get out of jail betting with the public going heavily with the fav....Understand the public is not always wrong so is the book trying to protect itself by a steadily increasing line or is it trying to suck you in to bet LA.

I too went to that site.  Read the words at the top of that page. Money stands for % of bets on the "moneyline" not the % of money bet.

 oops, that's a bit embarrassing.  Thanks for the heads up, I was getting a bit excited, currently at work so scanned the page and missed that info and jumped in making as it turns out unfounded observations.  Any ideas how to get info on % of number of bets made.

There won't be many chasers from NFL action this weekend as all four faces covered and those that play totals loved the under from the bookies I talked to. That tells me that people playing this game are more likely to be sharps rather than frantic chasers. This tells me that late line moves are more likely to be the right way to go.

That´s right "Money" is for MONEYLINE not the % of money.

well i know everyone kind of faded and never regrouped before the lal den game started. i'll share what i did with LAL and DEN
i waited almost all day, watched line movements and trends against them. the last 30 minutes seemed to go denver and pushed my bookmaker to +6. it was only +6 for less than 20 mins the whole day. i could have bought the .5 point, but i really didn't want to in this spot, doubt it would save me. trends went den's way late at +6 so i took it, i put enough time into it i didn't want to have talked myself out of taking it. the line went back to +5.5 and that's how they closed.

im not a big o/u speculator and def didn't like the play either way enough to have a pick there.

It is exactly like you say way2quick - nothing attractive in neither of lines - spread or total. It is not a fade away - simply awaiting and working on BCS Bowl game and tomorrows NBA. I'm sure Melos does the same. I love Sundays filled with NFL, but today's games were not really an entertaining games. It's a shame we have only few games left this season. I wish NFL would be stretched for 32 weeks
