Hawaii vs La Tech Winner Inside

LA Tech *Running back D.J. Morrow (9/29, hamstring) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Hawaii
 
Hawaii offense much more impressive than LA Tech

La tech played a brutal schedule dont take thos numbers into consideration, they won a bowl game as 7pt dogs last year..this team has an experienced o-line to keep hawaii off field and a very good QB...if thats your reason to bet hawaii it seems like a blind bet...gluck

Hawaii playing well and are very well rested and plus

Hawaii beat LA tech in hawaii last year 24-17 but it will be the same again cause Hawaii plays good on the road as well as at home . The only brutal team LA tech was at auburn but they got there asses pounded  over there and the score was like  37-13. If it was hawaii it would of been closer than that. Nicols state was nothing la tech beat at home GL

He is not the RB you need to worry about... Daniel Porter is their big play RB

Some comments from Coach Dooley and LaTech Team Page

Two bad losses to good teams and a big win over a BCS opponent don't leave fans with a real good sense of where the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs stand in their week-four bye week.

Fortunately, it appears they have been able to calm the preseason concerns about their passing game. Quarterback Ross Jenkins is averaging more than 220 passing yards per game and heads into the team's Sept. 30 Western Athletic Conference opener with the momentum from a career-high 357-yard passing game.

Head coach Derek Dooley has a couple of thoughts about why the team's passing game has opened up in the early going of the 2009 season.

"No. 1 we aren't running the ball as well as we need to, so we got to start with that," Dooley said. "But No. 2 ... a couple of our opponents were really challenging us to throw the football. They were packing everybody in the box, they were playing man and we had to go out and prove we could do it; otherwise we were going to get it every week. So it was good to see us make a lot of big plays in the pass game."

Whether WAC teams continue to stack the box against Louisiana Tech and allow Jenkins to throw, or remain content in shutting down senior running back Daniel Porter and the Bulldogs run game, Dooley said his game plan is still about run first.

"We do have to get the running game going because that's always our bread and butter," Dooley said.

LA tech team not very confident about there future Hawaii it is +4.5 GL

Thanks Atl, exactly
Porter is their star SR RB, over 1200+ yrds and 9TD's last season.though only 134 this year so far thru 3 games.

Navy is a good opponent too i believe they played ohio state close......but ya Hawaii a safe play, just dont underestimate your opponent...gluck

What have they had a 3000 mile trip to WASU - stayed mainland and went to UNLV then 3000 miles back home and then another 4000 miles back to La Tech - I know they are used to travelling but how in the world can you expect a team to get up for this game.

Both these teams know each other very well, no doubt about it. When you read coaches comments, you need to remember that he knows this is going to be public. Think "coach speak". NO WAY should you ever take that comment as a lack of confidence.

LA tech has not proven as of yet they can beat and elite team. The only team LA tech has beaten is Nicols state.  Can they beat hawaii at home we will find out.  GL

kitt.. here is how I see this game for 808
IF they can get it done in Ruston; they feel they can be a factor in the conference. This is actually a bigger game for Hawaii (at least in their mind) than for LaTech. We should see maxium effort by the Rainbow Warriors (damn I liked rainbows better LOL) Hawaii can and will get some yards and some points; but they just can't stop anybody when they need to. Evidence: loss at UNLV, they had that game in the bag, could not stop game tying drive. and they gave up the 2 pt conversion for final demise.

The numbers are greater on hawaii in passing and in rushing. Hawaii is green and LA tech is blue
