A few RSW I have found. I'm speculating the totals.


New Mexico State UNDER 4.5 RSW

New Mexico State will struggle mightily this year. I see three wins here, and that includes a road win vs FAU who could be better this year. I am hoping to see 4.5 here. and will bet under right away. 








Idaho UNDER 4.5 RSW

LOSS     No. Illinois
LOSS     @Washington St

This team will experience some transition as they break in a new head coach and coordination staff. They also lose their top 6 tacklers on the season. The 7 road games will not help (WSU Road game is 14 miles away) I dont see a guaranteed win on this schedule outside of ODU who is a transitional school. I will hammer this if it is o/u 4.5

I think BYU is good, but they play a tough schedule. I believe they will lose to Boise St and also Wisconsin. 

i think they will have a tough time going 6-1 vs UVA, Texas, Utah, MTSU, Utah St, GT, and ND. i think this team is looking 7-5 or 8-4 square in the face. I would love 8.5 here. 











Tulane OVER 3.5 RSW

This number will have to be 3.5 or lower. if it is 4 or 4.5 im staying away. I think tulane will open up 2-1 after wins vs. Jackson state and South alabama. they play toss up games vs UNT, FAU, and Utep and i also think they will beat UTSA as well. i think this team gets to 4-8 either way, but MAYBE 6-6 if things go right. 



so to recap:

Idaho UNDER 4.5
New Mex St UNDER 4.5
BYU UNDER 8.5
Tulane OVER 3.5


again this is speculation, but its not a bad attempt to guess.

i will analyze each team in detail later on, which is why you dont see alot of language in the post. i think the thing to do right now is observe the schedule and speculate just on wins and losses, not ATS

Absolutely.  No way Hawai'i keeps up.  The coaching is questionable, but the talent is always there at SC.  Huge talent differential.

nice work...on NM St, I like my horns big in week 1.  I see a 66 to 3 final score.  I think Betonline has it as Texas -42, which is a lot of chalk.  A lot of people underestimate Texas running game and 5 retuning OL and improving D.  

I like the under for NMst.  But, to add to the basis of your bet, I do not believe they will beat FAU at FAU.   Love him or hate him Pellini will have FAU ready for that game.   the home field will be the difference.

right now, my number 1 pick in week 1 is Texas -42 over NM St.  Thanks in advance.

and BYU will lose to Texas in week two.  a lot of people are underestimated texas this year.  yes I am a homer and no texas will not win them all and play for a NC, but I think BCS is a distinct possibility.

42 is a lot of chalk, but you're right that NM St will be really bad.  It depends on how much Mack wants to run it up, I think, and leave the defensive starters in.  I always fear the backdoor cover in these kinds of situations....

michigan- obviously a big transition losing denard but gardner has shown he can manage the role and has been groomed steadily and appropriately the last few years..

haven't checked the season total but id guess its 8.5 anything less id hit the over for sure

mich only making bigger strides with an entire whole year of hoke doing his thing with his players...can't sleepp on our defense it will be rock solid this year

I like Ok St. minus 7. I think MS St. has some problems early on with the pass happy attack of the cowboys minus most of their secondary that was drafted.
They struggled with wide open offenses last year like NW.

I  like Ok St -8 as well.  Right now, my 3rd pick in week 1 behind Texas -42 and Florida St -7.

Plus you have to consider that OSU is playing Miss St at Reliant Stadium. And the Houston area is the Pokes primary recruiting grounds. Gundy will put extra emphasis on winning this game and looking good doing it, to keep his strong hold in Houston.

Dr Strangelove - good point on Ok St.   I looked at their 2013 Spring Roster.  Here is the break down of the origination of their roster

OK2425%
Dallas Houston Other Texas Other State
30 21 6 16
31% 22% 6% 16%

So 22% comes from the Houston area and 61% comes from Texas.  I would call both those numbers significant.   OK St plays at UTSA week 2.  They have a few San Antonio players on their roster.  Do you think your perspective will hold for two weeks???

I was a little surprised the Houston percentage wasn't a little higher for OSU. I know Gundy has been well ingrained into the Houston highschool football system for many years dating back to when he was an OSU assistant coach. But Texas A&M might have taken a little of their thunder away in recent years, so I guess Dallas has become a hot spot. As far as UTSA, good question, I don't how Gundy will treat that game. It might depend on what kind of showing they make against MSU the week before. But I see no reason why the Pokes can't freewill it with just Lamar on board the next week. It never hurts to make a good showing when your playing deep in the heart of Texas.

That BYU under looks Fantastic ... the schedule is brutal ... would not be shocked to see odds makers release this one at 7.5 or 8 .... but at 8.5 under would be a play for sure

Game of the year lines are out:

I like so far...

Wash st +35.5 vs Oregon; they seem to cover every year vs the mammoth spread 

Colorado state +41 vs Bama; cannot imagine the rams getting shut out. Both teams will be slow moving in this game. Rams do enough to score 10 points, I'd say this is 42-10 or thereabouts

Texas might have the best o-line in college football...

Not sure how NMST will stop Texas even once in this game... Hope the total is somewhere around 59... Meaning Vegas assumes a score of 50.5-8.5

Would unload on horns TT over 49 or so...usually we would see that. 


Also gonna hammer rice vs a&m over if its 70. Or less... That might be 70-28 or so...

was thinking taking Rice with 30+ for $200 and the Over for 200 as well .... 95+ Points scored  ??? could happen right

That rice vs a&m o/u might seriously be GOY type total...

Very similar to a&m vs la tech last year...with only 70% of the scoring that still gets to 90...

Ya i was thinking maybe rice +30... And it goes without saying more research need to be done...

But 59-28 seems very much in the ball park

i think your crazy man to lay -42 in the longhorns opening game.  you think they are at least 3 touchdowns better then the same point last year? i think they will be better but its a large number to lay on a opening day public team.  your buying high here

Michfan - still evaluating - this game will be a slaughter...do you realized how bad NM St will be this year?     But, Ash is the great unknown.  If he steps up, he could make a Heisman run...but he could also have another marginal year.   I just don't know about Texas this season.  We could play for a NC or we could be 8-4 at the end of the regular season.  Diaz, the underqualified former ESPN intern is still our DC...I think he is over is head.  But, we definitely have as much talent on D as almost anyone in the country.

I have switched my top two picks to Ok St -14 over Miss St, and Maryland -14.5 over Florida International...I am also considering Florida State -13 over Pitt
