1. Popularity shows the games that are getting the most bets. Let me think about putting some type of easy indicator on it to help you see quickly how hot the game is.
2. We changed the fade plays because it hasn't been consistent in picking fades. For example, it faded itself I think 5 times this week and every one of them lost (it should have stuck with the actual bet). We've noticed that over the weeks the more "fade" type plays that it picks per day - the less money it's making on those days. So instead of these being fades, we are calling them Key Performance Indicators (KPI). From now on we will use the actual Veripicks play and not try and fade the system.
3. Absolutely. The games that have higher than 10 "similar" games are scored by our engine. You don't see this on that page but rather in the back end code. We were missing out on a ton of good plays because we were waiting until it had 10 games "under it's belt" before we were making them plays. Now we are trying to catch them early. Games that have less than 5 "similar" games should not be turned "on". So let me know if you see any that are - or any that were tonight.
Thanks for the feedback Tad. Feel free to send me any other questions you may have.
For everyone else: We also had to straighten out some moneyline issues tonight. One of the things we do not allow is Veripicks to take any game over -135 (i.e. -300, -600, -1000) which is way too much juice to stay profitable in the long run just to boost our winning percentage. It had two hockey games and a basketball game that were in this range. They all won - but we are removing them from our record to stay consistent. If you see any games that have this type of juice in the future - disregard them.
The Washington Moneyline tonight +400 is one we will keep! Good luck to us on that one.
