PimpNation - hah, you beat me to it, I was thinking strongly of making Baltimore a $ play with a write up. Still might, but you have covered the reasoning well IMO.

There is still life in me after all. Let's goallllllll
Exactly, can't give up hope yet! Plenty of Saturday still left. That late comeback by Twins was a shame though, I had already cashed my Toronto series bet so to speak.

Note to ALL Horse Bettors....If you play favorites you cannot win. I hit the TRIFECTA but it only paid out $146. Oh well, didn't get shut out and my 1 horse came running, just a little late...needed the 10 to beat the 3 and we get there for a much bigger payout.
Good luck to all tonight...gonna go get a great dinner and pull for O's and Cavs!!!
Pimp is out!!

The Baltimore/LAA match up is interesting considering the history of each team vs the opposing pitcher. Angels have hit Gausman well while Shoemaker has owned Baltimore hitters. Yet, that is history and today is the present. Gausman has made big strides this year in harnessing his natural talent with great stuff, while Shoemaker is barely hanging on to even belonging in the bigs.

0-5 bets, 10 units blown up since yesterday, a Friday, no less.
I thought that my Manchester United play won, but NO, the damn bet was mthereffin REGULATION ONLY. The fk? It was with eff'n 5Dimes. Why don't the muthereff'n soccer bets include Extra Time like the rest of the sports. Why does soccer have to be so damn weird?
Sometimes I just mothereffin HATE betting!
From here on out for the next two weeks, it's going to be ONLY Cubbies with Arrieta/Lester and Newmi for me to repair my damn BR.
Sorry for my rant, guys, but I'm pissed. I need to hit the bong right damn now...
The extra few minutes they add at the end of the halves to make up for injuries, subs, time off after goals, etc. counts as part of regulation. That's how your standard spreads, totals and three-ways are graded in soccer, and it's typically the end of the game. In this case, it's the finals of a tournament and cannot end in a draw. This means they go to extra time (overtime), then penalty kicks if it's still tied after the 30 minutes of ET.
In a situation where ET is a possibility, you can bet on the final outcome WITH ET included if you choose. It's usually going to be in the props for the game, and be labeled something like "Team to lift the trophy" or if it's not the finals, "Team to advance."
While you would have won the prop bet in the end, you would have incurred significantly more juice betting Man U on this line versus the regulation line. Hope this helps.

$$$$ Kyle Lowry prop bet total made 3pt over 2 (-140) $$$$
My $$ play today is a corollary to Par_Laid play on Toronto in game 3. He mentioned Lowry's struggles in this series thus far, shooting 1-15 in 3pt shots in the first two games. While this struggle can certainly continue, if there ever was a game for Lowry to do better it is now. Toronto needs him. They know it, Lowry knows it, Cavs know it. Toronto without their starting center yet again, and it does not look good for him to play at all this series. Raptors *need* Lowry and Derozen to both play up to their all-star potential to have a chance at making this series competitive.
And let's be honest, it won't even take Lowry reverting back to all-star form for this prop to at least push if not win. We are just talking about 2 made 3pt shots here! He shoots (on average) a smidge over 7 3pt shots per game during regular season and 7.5 3pt shots per game this series. Looking at all of his split stats, he has been making on average 2.2 - 3 3pt shots per game.
So this bet is purely a moderate gamble that he will get back to feeling comfortable at home and actually hit a moderate % of his shots today. Assuming he puts up 7 or 8 attempts, he just needs to hit 30% to push this bet and 35% to win it. I think that is achievable. Plus, he may end up shooting a lot more than 8 3pt shots depending on how this game goes. Toronto really needs his offense today.
Lowry also got called out (and ridiculed) in game 2 for literally leaving the court at one point during the game and into the locker room. Why? To clear his head! Yep, he was claiming a mental injury. I am sure he and his teammates and coaching staff have had several talks between then and today to get back on the same page. Toronto needs him to just go out and play his hardest and just focus on the game and let his natural talents play out. Forget the pressure, just play the darn game. Toronto home crowd should be doing everything possible to show support for him today.

For anybody looking for a juicy dog to make up some losses during the day, perhaps take a closer look at the Padres.
Money is flowing to the Dodgers as game time approaches, so maybe catch best line in another 90 minutes or so. I locked it in at +160 but might bet another 1/2 unit if Pads get past +170.
Not sure why Dodgers are such a big favorite here. Not like they are playing that well, and their bullpen continues to implode. Lost the game last night in bottom of 9th with the Upton home run.
Alex Wood is a decent example of looking at a pitchers split stats. He has really done quite well at home, but on the road is a different story. Clear difference in ERA, WHIP, etc. Plus, a few Padres hit him good. Jon Jay does well against LHP in general. Pads 3 and 4 hiters (Kemp and Upton Jr) have both hit Wood well.
Rookie pitcher Vargas has looked pretty decent this season. Throw out a bad game against the Cubs (easily forgiven), and he has made quality start after quality start. Plus, he beat the Dodgers on the road a month ago, getting the best of Wood that day. Vargas' main weak point thus far is his control. He walks too many guys which gets him in trouble and ups his pitch count.
So far I bet Pads to win as well as +1.5 RL.
There is also a prop play that might interest a few in terms of Wood vs Vargas for total innings pitched. I got Vargas at +170 which I think is good risk/reward. Vargas is purely average in innings pitched at home where he normally goes 5-6 innings. If he could limit the walks he might get over 6 innings tonight.
Wood on the other hand struggles on the road and has put up a hand full of games where he only lasts 5 innings or so.
So considering both pitchers look good to go 5-6 innings tonight, may as well take a chance on the guy who pays out +170, right?

Lester Lester Lester ... already imploding I see. Hopefully the Cubs offense picks it up some vs Cain. Otherwise my series bet will come down to Hendricks vs Bumgarner.

Lowry prop bet guaranteed no worse than a push in the 1st quarter. Heck, one of Lowry's shots was like 1/2 foot inside the 3pt line. Just take one step back my man!

We're all over this NBA game tonight, 3 plays all looking to hits, raptors +2.5 1H, over 50.5 1Q, and Kyle Lowry 3-PT prop bet over 2. Let's hope the Cavs storm back and blow out the raptors for a clean sweep in NBA today. Let's get that $$$$.

Right on! Full disclosure though, I did bet Cavs 2nd half in game 3, so I lost that one. I thought they would be a bit fired up after that end to the half. Refs really swallowed the whistles in 2nd half, anybody who bet under was loving it for sure. Raptors backup center was a beast in the paint tonight.
@Pimp - whew! I was getting worried about Baltimore there for a while. Funny to see Shoemaker do so well all of a sudden.
Hope Padres can seal this game up here late! Would be the perfect end to this Saturday. Won my Vargas +170 prop over Wood, even though Wood pitched crazy good tonight. Did I ever mention that baseball was crazy before?!?

He took your idea and is no doubt going to try to make money off of it.
wow, how could the thread NOT get bashed with this kind of bs every day when it was active here? amazing really.
everyone is making money off of it, just the way it's always been since Holmey started it. it's just new surroundings. why are people who wasn't even active in the thread pissed about it? beats me...
you can still silently lurk the thread and benefit from it if you want to. takes what, 1 minute to register an account. if you don't want it stop crying
and if Holmey would want to start the thread again on covers when CBB season starts again (or whenever) it would take a couple of minutes and then it would run as usual again. but for the time being its being runned at a different site, but as I said its open to anyone and no one is charging anything for it.
