Yeah my Oz books haven't either. The Storm will still be a good team with Howard but Stewie is too much of a loss for them to go deep into the season.

I am 50/50 with this Lynx team. The West is stacked this season. They still have Fowles, Brunson, Augustus and Robinson so not a bad starting line up along with most likely Jones. Moore is a big loss no doubt but they have the coaching and the players as well to help them get the wins this season.

**Trade alert
Odyssey Sims has been sent to the Minnesota Lynx in exchange for Alexis Jones.
Seems as though the Sparks are trying to open up some cap space to sign Cambage.

The Sky are under the radar my friend. They have a few good rookies as well with the experience with Quigley, Dolson and VanderSloot. They will be much improved but teams still need to cut a lot of players before I can do my power rankings.
The Aces are also a sleeping giant if they can stay healthy with their current squad whilst adding some depth as well. Around 4 weeks to go. Pre-season starts soon.

And now more big news..
Diana Taurasi will miss 10-12 weeks from now as she just underwent a disc protrusion in her back the Mercury has announced.
This off-season is truly nuts with so many big names out. Really liked the Mercury before this news but that's a massive blow especially in a very tough West conference.

Further to the news about Chiney going to the Sparks. This actually makes me like the Sun again. I was high on them the last 2 seasons and 2017 was a great year for Jonquel Jones because Chiney was out for the entire season. 2018 wasn't a good season for Jones and Curt Miller struggled to find positions for both Chiney and Jones to be on the court at the same time. I think we see the resurgence of Jones again. She has one of the best PER's for all active players in the league.

Would be careful to start off with as the Sky have signed a new coach, James Wade so not kind of sure what kind of game plan he will bring to the Sky.
Its also interesting to note that the Wings have Agler, who has been notorious over the years as a big defense coach. In fact, his time at the Sparks, the Sparks went 77-58-1 to the under in reg season under Agler and before that at the Storm, he went 56-46-1 to the under for the seasons 2012 - 2014. The database I use only goes back to 2012 unfortunately.

So with Chiney going to the Sparks, what does that mean for Cambage? I think the Sparks gave up on her and she will either remain at the Wings or she won't play at all because that's the kind of person she is.
So the Sparks starting line-up should be a pretty amazing one
Chiney, Nneka, Parker, Gray and Beard.
But for me, their coach is an absolute horrible signing. Derek Fisher. This team looks great on paper but it really does come down to how he adapts to his new team.

Are you a big Sparks fan Fazz? Are you in the LA area?
It definitely could affect her being resigned. Hard to tell as there are so many players needing to be cut or traded away before deadline. The Sims trade I could understand because last season wasn't her best and wasn't living up to the Sparks expectations but now they have some good post players and are very lean on quality guards.

Fazz, Gray was re-signed by the Sparks in the last 24 hours..

With Maya sitting, it obviously makes the Lynx weaker but I still have faith in Reeve but there will be a teething period with no Moore and Whalan.
The Wings without Skylar will struggle. Still no news on Cambage. If she signs, they will be very competitive but need that news before I can evaluate the roster.
The Mercury are always going to be strong, but news last week is that Taurasi will miss the first several weeks after having surgery. But as long as they finish top 4, they will be dangerous in the playoffs.
Vegas - they are definitely on track for a very good season with their depth and experience mixed with youth. They just need to stay fit.
Seattle - can't write them off. No Stewie will definitely hurt them but they still have Bird and Howard. A very good combo. As long as these 2 suit up, they will have a chance.
Sparks - yes their line-up looks great but I don't trust Fisher at all and they are a little low in guards.

He might bring in his own style after being with the Lynx for a few seasons. If you are looking for a run/gun team, I would say either the Fever and the Aces

This team can win the title IMHO with this squad. Getting Meesseman back is massive. She sat out last year but her game is insane right now. Getting Belgium so far in the WC last year is why she sat out and it worked. She really put the Belgian national team on the map and with her teamed up with EDD, it reminds me similar to Stewart and Howard for the Storm last season.
