This team can win the title IMHO with this squad. Getting Meesseman back is massive. She sat out last year but her game is insane right now. Getting Belgium so far in the WC last year is why she sat out and it worked. She really put the Belgian national team on the map and with her teamed up with EDD, it reminds me similar to Stewart and Howard for the Storm last season.
Wow that's very interesting indeed mate... keen to see this 1-2 punch

So here are the current odds for the future markets. Odds are in decimals
1. Mystics $3.30
2. Sun $5.50
3. Sparks $5.50
4. Aces $6.50
5. Mercury $6.00
6. Dream $7.00
7. Storm $12
8. Lynx $23
9. Sky $46
10. Wings $46
11.Fever $101
12. Liberty $101
Will wait for the final rosters before making a futures play but definitely interested in the Dream/Sparks and the Aces at their current value. If my Oz book gives me season wins, I will definitely play the Liberty and the Sky as they are undervalued IMHO.

Lynx beat Mystics 86-79. Mystics sat out EDD and Sanders but Meesseman beasted. Her game has gone to the next level. Lynx played well also, Fowles was great and they got a lot of production out of Sims who scored 20. Still bad 3 point shooting though, going 1-14 in the game. Both teams took around the same shots as last year, with Mystics taking 64 and Lynx 67 which wasn't too far away from their season average.
Other game was today, with Mercury beating the Sparks 82-75 and the bad news was that Parker left the game with a hamstring injury. Severity unknown at this point.
Sparks rookies did well, played at a very slow speed, putting up just 59 shots in this game. Hopefully that improves or maybe a tactic from Fisher to play slower this season as he has too many bigs and not enough guards. If I was the opposing coach,I would be trying to get the Sparks to play run and gun with them because the other team would win as the Sparks can't match that pace.
Bonner great as usual for Phoenix, scored 20. Mercury jacked up 25 three point attempts in this game which is a lot for the WNBA. Might be signs ahead for this team to start taking more.

There has been some pre-season action.

Ok so no major players have been dropped yet from their teams. A few rookies but team still at around 16-20 players so a lot of cutting needs to happen in the next 8-9 days.
Some injury news
Parker is expected to miss 5-7 weeks, so that's a blow for LA but they do have Chiney and Nneka. I still think they will struggle this season due to Derek Fisher being a horrible coach. When I say struggle, they will win games of course but I mean ATS. If we get those massive -10 kind of lines when they are at home, could be some nice teams to back.
Aerial Powers will miss 2-3 weeks as well for Mystics.
A new commissioner has been announced, she currently is he CEO of Deloitte. Lets see if she can turn this league around a bit.
The Aces and Wings were trying to do a trade. Wings would get Jefferson, Harrison and a draft pick whilst Aces would get Cambage. It looks as though its not going to happen because Jefferson looks to be resting this season and wants to chase the bigger cash abroad when she gets 100% healthy. Can't blame her, they WNBA pays not much more than $100K per season which she could make more in Europe or China.
