Let the madness begin. Saw an interesting thread in the College Football thread where one posted said that picks are nothing without an analysis and I would have to say, almost 90% of the comments surrounding that topic stated that the readers don't really care for a write-up/analysis. You guys know that I always like to ramble on a bit but I try and provide useful information on the injuries and concerns of the teams/players. I believe that knowledge is key and the more you know the better.
Onto the games;
Mystics @ Liberty The Mystics will be without Powers and Toliver again for this game. Thibault mixed it up and started Meesseman last game vs the WIngs and what were they doing in the 4Q of that game? Cant see anything more than a Mystics flogging in this game with Top Seed on the line whilst the Liberty are trying to outdo the Fever with the worst record over the past 2 seasons to get the number 1 draft spot. Durr looks to be out still for the Liberty and no idea who will be resting. Charles should be back but maybe its Nurse's time for some rest. The line might be Mystics -12 and 166 total.
Storm @ Mercury Taurasi is now 3-35 field goals, how is that possible? Now both teams can still get a home final, because the Lynx have a tough final 2 games against Mercury and the Sparks (both road games) so 6th spot can be anyones. Even the Sky may drop out of 5th as they have the Sun and Mystics (both road games as well). The Mercury and Storm though cannot claim 5th spot off the Sky as the Sky has the tie-breaker but one thing to note, the Sky do not want to meet the Lynx at all in the first round because the Sky is 0-3 against the Lynx this season, and that might have something to do with Reeve knowing exactly Wade's game plan as Wade was Reeve's understudy. The Mercury are healthy, the Storm are healthy as they can be accept Langhorne is dealing with a knee issue. She was good off the bench and the Storm's bench hasn't been very good this season, so they need her especially to give Howard and Russell some rest against Griner. Said this last thread, I am still waiting to see Taurasi have a massive shooting night and it will happen, just not sure when. The Storm do have good defense but their road form isn't the best. This game definitely should have a playoff atmosphere and the series is tied at 1-1, with this being the final game so this game is huge in case they finish on the same amount of wins. Line should be around Mercury -5 and 160 total.
Dream @ Sparks Sparks collapsed in the 4Q vs the Aces, and so did the Dream against Seattle. Dream playing for fun, Sparks playing for a bye in the first round and then home court in the 2nd. Williams went off vs the Aces scoring 37 but wasn't enough. Nneka's "illness" has not been updated and not sure of her status. They need her and not sure why Fisher started Brown in the 2H over Chiney. Very odd. The Sparks have to be careful with this game because although the Dream are done this season, they could catch them at a very bad time. Dream hit 14 three's the other day vs the Storm, and somehow still lost by almost 20. The Sparks and Dream have had 2 close games this season, one went to OT and the other one was won by 12 points by LA but that score doesn't reflect how close that game actually was. This line will be double digits and the Sparks are known for not covering when laying more than 10, they are in fact 16-32 ATS when laying -10 or more since 2012 in the regular season. The line should be Sparks -11 and total of 154.
BOL everyone, waiting patiently for the lines to come out whilst listening to Tool's new amazing album.

Thanks Aussie for all your work. Much appreciated on this end mate.
I'm in full agreement that a pick without analysis is worthless. I try to post any WNBA play I do with a writeup in appreciation of your efforts.
Best of luck and congrats on another winning season.
Completely agree Wiseguy, I guess it also comes down to how much time people do have on their hands and how long they spend on these forums as well but do appreciate a good write-up.

You get info from him and use it but you do not contribute. As Aussie said every little thing might mean something. Most have made a lot of money here. CONTRIBUTE. Right now it is me and him and basically that is it. Just saying it like it is.
Brutal.

Thanks 2Dawg. I try and source info from Facebook pages, the teams pages/twitters accounts, other basketball forums and fantasy sport websites. Truly believe that more information you have, the better. Lets cap some games

Sue Bird has confirmed she will miss the entire season but looks forward to playing in 2020 apparently
Durr is out for NY
Powers is out for Mystics
This is for tomorrow's games, which I might not post or play because its the only games on the board
Wings will be without Thornton and Mc-Gee Stafford when the face the Sun tomorrow.
That's the news I know so far but if you are playing the Liberty/Mystics game, you may want to wait a little longer and closer to tip off in case Katie Smith decides to rest players like she did the other night with Charles sitting.

Was waiting on Nneka and Fisher has played around here and not sure what he is doing. Chiney gets the start but nowhere is actually saying Nneka is out. She is present with the team but she might come off the bench, not sure. Hope she does play because her energy and efficiency is amazing. Don't see Dream playing much D, just hope they hit their shots and don't go 2-26 like they did vs Mercury a few nights ago. The last meeting was an under, 78-66 but the pace was there but the game just never got going. Think that will be different tonight.

Atlanta Dream @ Los Angeles Sparks: Over 158.5

I have no idea what this game is.. Started off nicely and then just both teams were shocking on offense and the Dream had 3 points with around 1 minute to go in the 3Q. Was saying last week we are due for a very ugly game and I guess this was it, unfortunately I was on the over. But we just move on.
Now with the win for Seattle, that condemns the Mercury to 8th spot, regardless if they beat the Lynx next game. Both Storm and Lynx are now at 17-15, and both have the tie-breaker over the Mercury so with Mercury being 15-17, they cannot get above 17 wins.
If the Sparks hold onto this lead, they will jump up to 3rd now, will be equal with the Aces on 20-12 and that series is 2-2 but the Sparks have a better record against teams that have a 500% win record (excludes Mercury now).
So as we stand
1. Mystics (one more win and Sun lose means Mystics get 1st) 2. Sun 3. Sparks (10-7 vs 500% teams) 4. Aces (10-9 vs 500% teams) 5. Sky 6. Storm (Storm has tie-breaker over Lynx) 7. Lynx 8. Mercury (cannot move)
So by the looks of it, the Aces actually can get any better than 10-9 because they face the Dream next Mercury. So the Sparks just need to keep winning and hold down 3rd spot because they will have the tie-breaker over Aces.
Tomorrow's game looks pretty ugly, might not cap that at all with the Wings/Sun taking action. Only game on the board but plenty of World Cup action coming up. See you guys over there
