3M Open Wednesday odds update

Editor's note: This was written at 1:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, July 24.

Betting favorite Tony Finau is still on the board as short as +900 at Caesars but has moved to +1,100 across most major sportsbooks, including FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM. Sam Burns, Akshay Bhatia, and Sahith Theegala are still taking up the next three spots but the No. 5 slot now belongs to Billy Horschel.

Horschel is coming off a T2 at Royal Troon last week, the best major championship result of his career and his best result overall since his win at the Corales Puntacana Championship back in April. He opened the week at 30/1 but is now as short as 22/1 at Betway.

3M Open odds and field analysis

Editor's note: This was written at 10:00 a.m. ET on Monday, July 22.

This will very much be a quiet week with a thin field following the season's final major but there are some notables atop the board choosing to tee it up at TPC Twin Cities this week.

The first is World No. 19 Tony Finau (+1,000), who missed the cut in the tough Royal Troon conditions last week. Prior to, he finished T5 at the Travelers, T3 at the U.S. Open, and T8 at the Memorial. Finau won the 2022 3M Open by three shots and has two more Top-7 finishes here over the last four years.

Next on the board is Sam Burns (+1,800), who was just one shot back of the lead through 54 holes at The Open last week before fading away to finish T31 on Sunday. He's played this event twice, with his personal-best finish a T7 back in 2019.

Rounding out the Top 3 is Sahith Theegala at 20/1 odds. Like Finau, he missed the cut at Royal Troon last week but did finish T4 at the Scottish the week before. The flipside is three missed cuts in three carer tries here in Minnesota.

Defending champion Lee Hodges is in the field and can be had at +5,000. Nick Dunlap is also in the field at 40/1 after his win at the Barracuda Championship last week.
